I call it a trap pack because I have made some trap friendly changes. Such as invisible tripwires! wooden doors that blend in with wood planks, etc etc. Check the screenshots for more.
ABOUT:
This is my take on the default texture pack. I really enjoy the default textures of Minecraft, but wanted to make my own changes to make it fit my preferences more. So I decided to make this and try to keep the original feel of Minecraft we have come to love, while still making my own changes.
Note: Some things are unchanged from the original and this is intentional.
Please check the screenshots and download. If you like please +1 and check my youtube channel.
Here are some pics and the download link.
This will be updated as I am inspired to make/change more blocks.
Installation:
Just put the zip in your texture pack folder and your good to go.
Updated for 1.5.1, tweaked mossy stone, minor updates.
SCREENSHOTS:
Some of the screenshots show older pics like a terrain file from before 1.5.1 but they still show accurate depictions of blocks, etc. Make sure to read the caption for each screenshot so you notice the disguised traps, etc.
A quick shot of the terrain file.
The art for paintings. Most are block textures to make it easier to hide hallways, blocks, etc.
Items file.
Particles for the nether.
Enchanting table and the player GUI, health bars, etc.
torches redstone torches (they are made to look like batteries X-D)
Brewing table and cauldron
Iron doors
UNLIT redstone lamp and redstone wire
lit lamp and wire I love the wire particles and texture.
INVISIBLE TRIPWIRES!
Wooden door OPEN. Blends right in.
Wooden door closed and VERY well hidden to help protection.
View through the pumpkin helm.
Recolor of the wolf.
Cow redone. Also diamond ore and block.
Iron bars cart etc. Love the original enderchest!
Diggin the new exotic chests, and clean signs.
New GUI theme. I love it.
Paintings and recolored stone. Notice the painting on the far right is of stone and blends quite well. GREAT for hiding hallways.
This is explained at the top of the first post. It is meant to disguise traps better, for puzzle maps, etc. or SMP servers that want the original feel of minecraft while having some trap friendly textures, example: A server that does not use locks for doors and chests only traps, etc.
This is mostly a default edit and a lazy one at that, just changing the colour or copying and pasting other blocks over different ones (for example the cauldron is iron block and the torch looks like it once was glowstone). The spider and creeper armour looks kinda cool but i wouldn't want to use it. Is all this your own work? the GUI looks well done yet thing like a redstone torch looks terrible it's hard to understand the varying level of skill!
Please read the about section in the original post. It is meant to look like the default textures of minecraft, hence why I used the textures the way I did. Also yes it is all my own work.
I hope that you understand that even if you have this texture pack on others wont have it on. This means your "traps" will loook completely obvious
As I stated already, servers can use it as in they can have it the default texture for their server, so that covers multiplayer, as far as single player (adventure maps, puzzle maps, etc.) its no different than not following the rules of a puzzle map, sure you can choose to ignore the spirit of the puzzle, but there isn't any real point to it.
