Ok so i like to play Minecraft with my friends a lot. Anyway so i recently learned how to edit minecraft textures(im not very good at it but at least i can somewhat do it) So i was wondering if there was a way to edit the textures of pumpkins when you put them over your head. I think i've seen other texture packs do it and id be interested as to which file this correlates to. Also is there a way to make the pumpkin head features bind to other items? Basically what i want is to reskin iron armor(or any armor for that matter) to look like a space suit, and i wanted to make it so that when you put the iron helmet on it was as if you were looking through a space helmet itself. I don't know if im just being a blithering idiot and this is not possible, if i'm blind and this is everywhere, or if i'm onto something no one's ever thought of(i very highly doubt the last one there).
Note: I was never very good at putting my thoughts into words so if you can not at all understand what i'm saying pls tell me.
Also im not so sure as to if this is in the right section so if a moderator could bump me if i am that would be awesome and very greatly appreciated.
Ok thanks about the pumpkin blur texture changes, i wasn't interested in changing the worn texture. Now my other question which i wrote up above but on reading over the post again it seems that it wasn't posted. Anyway my question was that is it possible to put the pumpkin blur effects on another item, such as a leather helmet? I'd like to do this so i could make something that looks like a space suit, and when you put on the helmet it changes your view.

without modification of the game code, no, this isnt possible. As for changing the code, that isn't my department and doesn't really have anything to do with textures, so would be better suited for answer in the modding section. Sorry I couldn't be much more help =/
Thanks for the info ghost, and what you said was what i guessed, And as changing the code is likewise not my area of expertise i will not bother asking for it as the version of MC i play on is 1.2.5(the game mode the modpacks me and my freinds love to play on is set to) and i would most likely end up doing the code myself, although i am currently trying to learn some amounts of code of the internet(not having too much luck with that sadly) Anyway thanks for the info, as for the pumpkin thing i have changed that so your advice was taken into consideration and used. So thank you all for the info you gave me.

The file for the inside of the pumpkin is in the 'misc' folder inside of your texture pack, and it is called pumpkinblur.png
