this is probably my second favorite texture pack compared to Sphax but i will give you some ideas
make slime balls drip slime
make buckets drip milk/water/lava
make redstone look like it's glowing possibly
make the ores shimmer possibly
and make the eye of ender blink
i know a little bit of designing animations from looking into the files of other texture packs but these are just suggestions that i would like to see
**EDIT** just realized that the other guy mentioned most of these and also to do the signature i think you have to copy the url of the signature or something like that
You actually read. And I love you give feeback to my ideas. I will continue to give ideas when they come about, and hopefully they wont be in giant lists.
Moon rotate was something I was undecided on. I just don't like how the moon looks.
And I have checked the water/lava dripping effects. They are different, rain splashes and the dripping disappears into the ground.
Cobwebs would be hard, considering you would need to make 6 different textures for each side of the cobweb, which I am not sure is even possible. Of course, I am not the texture editor. But it would be nice. I would say skip this for now until you reach near the end of your long list.

cobwebsonly use 1 texture and crosses itself perpendicular to the grid pattern of the world. Just like saplings and flowers

It looks completely fantastic, Ghost. I really love what you're doing, and I can hardly wait for this texture pack to be finished. While I know this is something you'll be adding soon, there's a small request I'd love to make for the next version.
Can you please add a glimmering effect to diamonds, emeralds and other refined ores for the next version of Vanimation? Like I said, I know this is a definite to-do, and will be added soon, but I'd love to see it added for 1.4. I hope it isn't rude to ask you of this for the next version, as I really enjoy this texture pack already. The beacon effects are top notch, GUI icons are animated in an awesome way, and that fish moves like a boss.

This looks really awesome, and I absolutely love the fish!
Leaves rustling and the grass on sides of dirt would really make me use this. It's probably the one thing I missed the most!

Where is your license? The textures are nice save for the speed animation which does not give a hint of being 'speedy'. Also, why would ice's reflections move around?

Hehe, did you read the notes? Those are gifs, and gifs =/= ingagme animations. Gifs are slow and laggy in nature, so ofcourse it would relay that slowness to the speed animation, giving the appearence of a faulty gif Also, I have to animate those gifs. That is time consuming. Therefore some gifs actually cut out some animation bits, just the main animation stays.
Ice and glass (and soon to be daylight detectors) all shimmer. Most likely cause by the shifting of your position compared to the sun, or vice versa.
Whether or not suggestions have been made, you can still post them. The more i see a suggestion, the more likely I will prioritize it anyway, to your suggestions:
Yes, command block...but that a very low priority, as it is strickly non survival.
Plants are definately going to get an animation, as soon as I can get them to not look silly!
Tools on a workbench, I like it.
Water on moss stone, again, like it.
Only problem with animating golden apples is that there are two different kinds. The greater kind already shines =/
Gems, both item and block form, are going to shimmer/shine/sparkle in someway
Magma cream is done and being released in the next update, be sure to check it out and voice your opinion
I was thinking of making the arms of the nether star retract and protract. This was going to be in the next update, turns out it was more than I bargained for. I'll do something with it ;P

Okay well I love you for commenting back because most people don't care, so seeing your commitment to this texture pack and to the ideas towards it motivates me.
As for the particle effect for water splashing, I have not found it in the MineCraft files either, (I am looking as I write this comment) but in game you can see them when it is raining with particles on. Just look at a block open to the rain. You should see a splash of water. The splashes differentiate, and seem completely random. The only thing that goes in a pattern is the texture themselves.
And what I know from the rain is that there should be 4 textures for it; A simple single water splash, a simple water splash accompanied by another on top of it, a slightly more complex water splash which has two droplets of water separated by air, and another more complex splash that contains three droplets also held together by air. All drops use only one color; the darkest blue color scheme for water color.
Sadly I cannot find it (I have searched through all the regular files of minecraft.jar) so it is probably generated through code, especially since they are completely random. I will continue searching whenever I feel like it though.
For cobwebs, maybe just have it simple and nothing fancy. I was hoping for 3D animation, but you can't always get what you want :<
Actually now that I think of it, simply having it look like its expanding outward and inward on all sizes wouldn't look too bad.

Here is the problem, for optifine(and mcpatcher) you need to specify a location ie: /mobs for a cow. This file isnt in folder, so as far as I am concerned, It's unanimatable D=
