The Christmas texturepack is out! It turns your Minecraft world into a snowy winter landscape and has christmassy features like chests as presents, torches as candles, villagers and tamed dogs/cats have christmas hats, christmas plants, decoration on doors and furnaces.
Note!: The Christmas pack is only available for 1.6, please use Optifine or McPatcher and activate "Custom Colors". Without this, some things like leaves can look ugly.
Another small update, I made new textures for bedrock, obsidian, ender chests, enchantment tables, redstone ore, dirt, snowy grass block sides, iron blocks and iron golems. I also made netherrack darker and made grass in savanna biomes yellow.
In the christmas pack, I added the 1.7 textures, made snowy acacias and dark oaks, made new textures for snowy tall grass and ferns, and made a new decoration for wooden doors.
Again the hint: Use Mcpatcher and activate Customcolors for the christmas pack, otherwise some trees will have strange colors.
Again a little update, these are the changes:
-made stone textures darker
-new textures for creepers, slimes and magma slimes
-added connected textures for 2x2 logs from spruce trees and jungle trees
-removed the buggy daytime sky from Bettersky
-in the christmas pack: fixed snow golems
-changed cow textures
Again a small update, I added the new block textures of the newest snapshot 14w07a, including granite, diorite, andesite, slime block, iron trap door and barrier block. I also made a new texture for iron doors and bedrock (I previously had a diorite-like texture for bedrock, I gave bedrock a much darker texture to make it look different from the new diorite blocks.
Another new update, I made new textures for jungle logs, cactus, nether warts, rose bushes, tulips, houstonia flowers, melons, jungle saplings, carrots and all dyes.
I also improved redstone ore, emeralds, skulls, firework stars and torches
I also added new textures for the sun and for all paintings (I used phots for them), and removed the red eyes from skeletons because they might be too scary.
New texturepack! In the last two months I made a new version of my texture pack with a 256p resolution, because this creates a lot of new possibilities for realistic, detailed textures. Today I finished it, you can find a lot of screenshots of the new Zedercraft HD Texturepack in the start post
This looks really really good, in my honest opinion. I've been using Soartex Fanver for the past few months, and lately I've been searching for a new resource pack, which looks just as smooth, but has it's own little touch and a little realism. I think I found the right pack just now
The one little problem I have with this though, is that it's not in a resolution of 128x. Although my pc can handle 256x packs very well, I rather like to save a little power for other programs I'm running (though I think that that would not make THAT much of a difference, but it's still a difference :P)
(Also, I'm happy that this great piece of artwork was made by a German, since I'm german too ^-^)
I was thinking about making a 128x version, maybe I will do that in the future, I would only need to downscale every single block and item (the mob textures already have a 128x resolution in the 256x pack).
The autumn texture pack is a new version of my pack which gives Minecraft an autumn-styled look with the following features:
-trees have yellow, orange or red leaves
-autumn leaves on grass blocks, mycelium and podsol
-yellow fern and saplings
-snow is made of leaves, leaves fall from the sky when it snows
Please use Optifine or McPatcher and activate "Connected Textures" and Custom Colors" when using the Autumn pack to make Minecraft look better (leaves have a random pattern on grass blocks when using Connected Textures, and the colors of swamps and birch trees do only work properly with Custom Colors)
I also made an update for my normal pack with the following features:
-added all missing 1.8 textures
(only banner textures are currently missing because there is a bug that that makes every banner white when they have HD textures)
Large update! I updated a lot of textures, I changed or improved around 40% of all textures of my pack and fixed some things, made new screenshots and also made a new christmas texture pack
Zedercraft Christmas HD is a snowy, christmassy 256p realistic texture pack that turns your Minecraft world into a snow landscape, with christmas decoration and other christmas features:
-Grass blocks, tall grass/fern, all trees and saplings, mycelium, sugar cane and mushrooms have snow on them, every biome that has grass blocks is a snow biome, rain is turned into snow
-all doors, crafting tables, furnaces, enchanting tables and note blocks have christmas decoration like christmas wreathes on them
-chests are presents, torches are candles
-spruce saplings are christmas trees
-villagers, the default skin, cats and dogs have christmas hats
-christmas decoration in the GUI
Please use Optifine or McPatcher and activate "Custom Colors" when you use my christmas pack, because swamps, spruce trees and birch trees only look white and snowy with Custom Colors, without Custom Colors the snowy textures in swamps or on birch/ spruce trees will get a green or brown color
To be honest, I haven't used this texturepack in a while, but I found it in my resourcepacks folder yesterday, so I equipped it. I have a major problem with the grass. In my opinion, it is too bumpy ("unruhig" you would say in German, couldn't find a proper english word, sorry) and hurts in the eyes after a few minutes of playing. I apologize if I have said that before, but I thought it was worth pointing out. Despite that issue, I still love the pack, so keep up the good work!
