That looks like a bug with MCPatcher's alpha blending, I'll show these shots to Kahr.
Well, it's still the same even without MCPatcher. I notice that the destroy_stage pictures in SixtyGig seem not transparent, which is different form them in other resourcepacks.

Ah, I think I know what is causing it then. It's the way I blend the crack patterns so that they are smoothly applied to the surface of the block. That's why the actual destroy texture has a gray background.
I'll look for a work-around, I have a few ideas that may work, I'd rather like my nice smoothly blended destroy pattern.
Also, I apologize for the slow updates, next couple weeks are finals at my college, *and* the holidays of course. But everything should resume normal operations shortly.
Potato crops are next though! May be finished today.
Ray, just to have peace of mind... I'll be getting a new PC this weekend and I'm thinking of using your pack on a LP series. I'll link to this thread obviously, do you mind?

Oh, of course you can use it. I love seeing videos with my pack in it.
I got MCPatcher and the full version of the texture pack today, but when I patched it and opened up the game with the texture pack, I only run about 3 fps. When I take the pack off my computer goes back to 100 fps? Whats the problem?

Probably the 4000-or-so CTM textures, and your computer can't handle it.
You can try the Light version of the pack, see if that helps, but I really wouldn't recommend that version.
First, excellent work here and good luck with finals...it's the same for me! I do have a question/suggestion. As you know, with 1.7, resource packs can be layered. What I want to do is use your pack as my main one and have Faithful 32 textures for all the blocks/items yet to be included in your pack. However, as it stands, this can't be done as you are using the default .png's for your incomplete textures. I'm sure it's asking a lot of you, but can you have your releases include only your textures? I've started doing this for your current release but will have to do it every time you update your pack, which surely will become tedious.

that's actually already planned, for the reasons you just mentioned. I just keep forgetting to do it.
I'm afraid not. Both the default and the faithful resource pack work well.
Here's the default:
Here's the faithful:
