One of my viewers requested a demo of your texture pack.
Hope you enjoy it.
Thats a nice video, although since you were using a snapshot you missed out on all the CTM content. Every single texture has 9 random textures, your video isn't showing off the best part! (Including the germ grass)
Trust me, if you liked what you saw, install MCPatcher on 1.5.2 and you'll be blown away.
If you're willing to re-record the video, I can feature it for a while. Since texture issues aside it's one of the better videos I've seen in a while.
I decided to do a weekly "sponsor an artist" program. Every week, I will find an artist who isn't getting quite the traffic I think they deserve and sponsor their work. Usually they will be either other texture packs or skins. If you want me to check out your work, send me a PM or reply to this thread with a link. I will only sponsor the highest quality work that is getting VERY low download rates (under 1,000/month usually). So please, don't post garbage. This isn't first come first serve, this is the discovery of quality top notch work that everyone is ignoring!
Our first-ever Sponsored Texture Pack is.. Glendale, By Taiine! This pack has been around a little while (longer than SixtyGig) and looks absolutely beautiful in game. If you're a fan of 16x packs I highly recommend you give Taiine's work a look! I tend to rotate through a few dozen packs when I need some inspiration, and her's is one of them.
First off, I like the idea of you sponsoring people. That first pack is actually pretty neat, something I'd play around with. So, I'll have to watch for those too. ^^
And I like the cobble texture. Seems a bit more faithful I suppose.
Though I'm sure you'll still have the other texture in a alt. Good job, anyways.
When I made coal blocks, it was back when the coal block was just a recolored redstone block in the snapshot, so being faithful, I did the same. But they went and changed it on me afterwords, I just haven't gotten around to redoing it.
I know that it was back when the coal block was just a recolored redstone block in the snapshot and I was worried.
No worried, just so happened when I did Redstone Blocks coal blocks still were just recolors of Redstone Blocks, so I did them real quick the same day. But, Mojang threw a curve ball at me, and changed them.
So they're on my list of textures to redo.. Just not a very high priority at the moment since I'm not too concerned with 1.6 content, seeing as it's not out yet.
When are you going to do some items? I would really love to do some aether 2 support but I don't know what style the items shoud be and I need a base to get some sort of idea.
These are the Aether textures I've done so far, going to do alot more tonight.
Those are some interesting textures, I was considering setting up a "fan mod" support so people who want to do some textures for mods, can do so. Because quite frankly, there's no way I can do them all alone. Luckily, *most* mod's textures are just remixes of other textures anyway so it makes it really easy to chop together a texture pack for mod support.
But one thing to keep in mind, if you want to be an "Official Fan Made" mod support pack, I'll probably have a bunch of requirements. One of them will be CTM support. For example, you tweaked the flowers/roses to match Aether, but keep in mind you need to do all *9* of the flowers/roses, not just the one. Else it breaks one of the major features of the pack, all the CTM!
But, while these are in no way official rules, here's a quick draft of some of the ideas I was thinking of:
- You may only use your own textures, or remixes/edits of SixtyGig's.
- They must be 64x64
- If it's a CTM-supportable texture (most blocks), it must have a minimum of 9 textures.
- You can't put the download link behind Adfly
- You must layout the .zip file with the textures in such a way players only need to drag+drop the mod textures out of your pack and directly into the SixtyGig pack.
If all the requirements are met, the mod will be posted on the original post (or anywhere else applicable) for download.
These are totally off-the-cuff and subject to change, it's just a very generalized idea of what I was going to do when I started fan-made mod support.
You're doing pretty good work, I'd just recommend you go back and recolor all the other textures too so they get the full benefit of CTM.
EDIT: Also, grab the latest pack, I redid cobblestone completely. The base texture you're using is no longer in the pack

Sorry, missed this reply; The items should be starting to come in kinda-soonish. They're next on the list. You'll probably start seeing a few pop up here and there as I finish up everything in /blocks, then I'll move into doing /items and /gui side by side.

I Will do the CTM textures when I have finished all of the none CTM textures. I am using the old cobblestone because I thought since it isn't going to be used anymore that it would be ok if I used it as the holystone due to it being a different texture to the new cobble and all.
I will add a download link to the textures as soon as the Aether II makes it so you can add mod support, so far I've just been putting them in the mod itself to give you guys a preview because It doesn't have the ability to do mod support quite yet.
- This support is currently a work in progress and is about 5%-9% done as of right now.
- ALL textures will have connected textures.
- To install the support just simply extract all of the files in the rar file into your texture pack file.
- If you would like to give feedback/textures of your own please PM me and I will see if your feedback/textures are viable resources for this support and will be used.
I really like it!
To me, it looks like a smoother Sphax, no crazy shapes, with a RPG twist! It looks really awesome. the CTM looks flawless, I can't wait till it's done!

Cool huh?
It'll look even better if you install MCPatcher. You're missing out on some awesome features.

- Original Cobble redrawn completely from scratch.
- Mossy Stone Bricks tweaked slightly.

I'm going to be closely following the progress of this texture pack as it's my favourite so far!
Keep it up and I can't wait till it's 100% complete!
Yes, actually. I plan to.
