I love this texture pack so much, and I love how you add a new texture everyday it's something that I can look forward too seeing what will be textured next. Also when the Aether 2/3 (Not quite sure what the develpment is) would it be all right If I added the support? I've done Aether for Faithful, Epic OcD, and MC4Kids and would love to do it for this texture pack!
It'll work with optifine, I just don't recommend it. MCPatcher has superior CTM. If you disable the CTM by deleting the CTM folder you'll ruin this pack's look and feel. Never-ever do that.
Here's some shots I made a month or 2 back to show off the huge difference in quality and why CTM is important to this pack.
I know it's not the best, but for some people, it's the only way the texture pack will work, if they intend to use optifine.
I've tried the steps detailed on the front page. Did not work.
And even if it did work, it'd mean I couldn't use Rei's Minimap, which I would rather not give up.
As such, I'd prefer non-CTM textures than not being able to use this TP at all. ;D
Unless Optifine introduces support for CTM, I'll have to make due without it. Unless someone figures out a way to get Optifine, MCPatcher, Modloader, Rei's Minimap, and Craftguide to all work together.

Optfine does support CTM, you don't need MCPatcher to use the CTM features. You just won't get the double-layer CTM, like Glass and Ice. But for the most part all the other CTM features should work.
After you install Optifine go into your graphics settings in game and set "Connected Textures" to fancy. It should already be enabled by default though.

I've got it working with Optifine, and Rei's Minimap using mcpatcher. For Optifine, follow the link on the first page, and follow the instructions -
there are some Optifine settings that must be turned off.

I cannot even select SixtyGig as a texture pack, clicking it causes a 1-2 minute freeze, then the game reverts to Default texture.
It's a bug with certain texture packs and Optifine for some people. Hence my response to the person saying they couldn't select it.
The only solution I've found (and the Optifine creator) is deleting the CTM folder. I followed the steps in the first post, and it still didn't work. Using MCPatcher without Optifine, Reis or Craftguide worked, but I need Optifine and the other 2 are very nice to have. And I prefer having a playable framerate more important than CTM textures. xD They're amazing, but unless something is figured out, I can't use them.
There's probably a specific enabling/disabling of Optifine features causing it, but no one's figured that out yet.

I had the same issue, but there are some texture you can keep on the CTM folder, like glass and ice.

That's not actually a bug, it's optifine's failsafe when you run out of memory. By deleting the /ctm/ folder you're just lowering the memory demand of the pack.
It IS compatible with Optifine, you ,just won't get every CTM feature if you use it instead of MCPatcher. But it's still very good with Optifine only
This. Using Optifine will only stop you from getting the full-blown CTM Glass (You'll just get an ugly frame instead of the awesome Alpha blending) and you wont get the cool "Cracking" effect on ice. But everything else will work fine.
The constant updates are fantastic.
In the future, when you've completed the texture pack and add more customizations, a darker water option would be great. More default-like. Lighter toned water is great and all, but I've always been a fan of that nice deep-blue of the good ol' 16x16 default.
Keep it up, really you do spoil.

I'll probably start up an "alt texture library" eventually, I'll be sure to add a darker water to it.
(Keep up the good work though)

What are your computer specs?
