Wow, this is really nice! The textures are all lovely. My only complaint is your strict adherence to the default color scheme, which is a bit of a let down since the default colors....aren't the greatest.
Yeah, sometimes the default colors have caused me grief in my design. They really are awful in some areas :/
If the interest is there, I may in the future make a "Midnight" (Brooding, dark colors) and a "Aurora" (Cheery, bright, very colorful) version of the pack that pulls away from default's base colors. It shouldn't be very hard since I design all my textures in layers in photoshop, so it's as simple as just recoloring the various layers of each block. I could probably totally recolor the entire pack in a week.
But as much as the default colors sometimes annoy me, that's part of the charm of SixtyGig, how it takes Default and makes it "better".
Logo looks great, pack looks great. It's all great! One question however. Where does the Sixty Gig name come from? I know you said its based on the artwork from a game you are programming, but does the name stem from that game also?

That's a fairly long story, actually.
The TL;DR version is:
It's named after my Minecraft server, SixtyGig. (http://sixtygig.com)
The long version is:
SixtyGig.com used to be a PlayStation 3 community website years and years ago, for those who may not know some PlayStation history, the first 2 PS3 models were the 20gb and 60gb. The 60gb is hailed as the "Best version ever created" (even now) because it had full hardware-level backwards compatibility with PS2 titles and a memory card reader. It was the most complete package basically.
Eventually is was disbanded, roughly 4 years ago. But I still owned the domain name. So, me and some close friends thought it would be funny to name the Minecraft server "SixtyGig" for no logical reason.. The original server was just for fun, with 3-4 close friends on a small freebuild map.
Well, that slowly evolved, now the server is almost 3 years old and has a reputation for being one of the more mature, well rounded and best managed servers in Minecraft. We have no grief protection what so ever, but still have no griefing what so ever. The average age is around 30 and we keep our numbers fairly low. 60-70 Active members, cleaning out inactive ones all the time. Our application process is hard, and we weed out almost all the rift raft.
Just reading our forum will prove that. We really are one of the few places in Minecraft you can play without a bunch of morons bothering you.. and we've loved being that was for 3 years now. If you google "Mature Minecraft Server", we're No.1.
But, there you have it. That's why the texture pack is called "SixtyGig"

Ah, ok. Really, really cool stuff. And yeah, 60GB PS3 all the way!
Hey, I took just a few pictures of your leaves and vines, they look awesome. You can check them out t took some with cel shaders and some with Sildurs nVidia shader. You may post any, if you want to. http://s1301.photobu...eaves and vines
An update on the Pocket Edition port: I have been putting the pieces together as you release them so I imagine if everything continues going the way they have been going I will finish the port soon after you release the final piece of the texture pack (or sooner if you finish with files that are not in PE). I will not release it but you can use it as reference if you ever decide to officially port it

Awesome! Since it's been a while since you said anything I thought you lost interest (or just got what you needed done and carried about your business).

I look forward to seeing the completed product.
Mainly been lurking, I have downloaded each update since I last checked in. I truly do like this texture pack and I am excited to see the end product. I will most definitely use this on my phone as well once it is done
Watching this texture pack slowly growing into a complete texture pack is like watching a baby grow up (I think, I don't have experience with this). This baby is a good looking one
I just downloaded your texture pack, and it looks awesome. One thing that I noticed is that the armor, weapons and tools look the same as they do in the default texture pack. I'm assuming those will be re-textured at some point so they fit with the rest of the pack?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Link RemovedWIP 128x 64x, SEUS support, Mod support in the pipeline TEKKIT, FTB, the more support the more mods!

Just googled "Mature Minecraft Server". Good job, lol.
I really like your new lapis block, very creative design.
Thanks. I'm actually going to have to redo it slightly for 1.6, the new 1.6 Lapis has a border around it. But it'll still be the same basic design, just with a simple border.
I also have to redo coal. Since they went and retextured it. It used to be the same texture as Redstone blocks, so I just recolored the them to coal. But now that they changed it to it's own unique texture, I must as well!
At first, I have to say, that I really love this texture pack - its exactly, what I was looking for. It makes mining very pleasent for me, because of the smooth stone texture!
But what I really miss right now, is a texture for wheat
Don't worry, the finished version of the pack will be a full retexture. Just be sure to check back often for updates.

Anyways, I'm loving the texturepack, great work Rayvolution.
