Still here! I took a break for a while too. I've actually started a new main world and I'm transferring all my builds there. World Edit is a lifesaver! So before I download it again does it work with 1.8.9? I just want to make sure. I'm not using 1.9 yet because of my mods.
The only item mod I use is Mr. Crayfish's furniture mod. That would be awesome to have textures for those items too! I never thought about it because I've just been building and not decorating yet.
Would it be possible to update it to the 1.8.9 version? A lot of skins seem to be missing for tamed ocelots and other asorted things. I currently have the one you posted in previous links for 1.8, but it would be lovely to have that updated (I finally managed to get most of my mods up to 1.8.9 and this is one of the last 2 that requires an update to not look wonky. I am staving off from trying to go 1.9 just yet.
Though some of us use Pams harvestcraf, and thats a lot of food to texturize of which I am okay with skipping that, but my main desire is the rest of the mobs and useable items.
Looks like I never actually made a texture for cats.. whoops. I'll have that done soon hopefully. I'm actually nearly done for 1.9, it's just the boat models that are an issue, plus I do want to update some features such as the awful fish textures and potion bottle stuff, and the way too many different textures for the clock and compass. After I do that, it shouldn't be too much of an issue to backdate the pack. I'll call it Version 6 . -1 or something. Can I ask what items you notice are missing a texture outside of the clock and compass?
I like it. Out of curiosity, how do you think of the textures, do they pop out of your head, or do you get creative and let the ideas flow while having a decadent sugar rush? The only blocks I don't see a texture for are the stained clay blocks, unless they have a candycraf texture and I cannot see it properly?
Hey there, so if you want to know how I think of textures, I'm going to ramble on a bit.
First thing I do for a new texture is have a look at the sort of environment the texture's normally in and what textures are related to it, so for example the ocean monuments are largely chocolate themed due to the chocolate water texture or the slime blocks already had a similar texture with the slime balls. I also like to keep close to original textures, although I may be changing some of those soon (Endermen and fish for example). If those fail, I have a couple of choice candies which are good for texturing, candy canes, liquorice, candy corn, stuff like that. There are times when sometimes I'll be eating something and suddenly realise it would be a good texture for something. I do also have the occasional decadent sugar rush which is good for that! If all of those don't produce a good result though, I either resort to the good ol' wikipedia List of Candies, or I edit a texture to vaguely fit in with the rest of the pack until my next idea pop of sugar rush, which is normally done by giving it a lick of saturation, a dash of pink/purple, or both.
In answer to your other question, the Stained Clay textures are slightly cloudier and have a higher saturated colour than default minecraft. I didn't want to change them too much as I know some people like to use them for solid colours in pixel art and the like, plus I found it hard to think of a candy that's available in 16 colours.
Updated to 1.9! Legacy pack for 1.8 is also out now. Working on a snapshot add-on, then mod add ons. Also big thanks to ColonelChisato for the absolutely amazing youtube video (that I may have been procrastinating on putting up for a couple of months, sorry!)
I'm getting back into a Minecraft mood and was looking at the texture packs that I used to use and both of them seem to have stopped updating but this is still going. Honestly I'm a bit surprised but it all looks really good. Keep up the great work.

Hey guys, I've added the code under the banners so you can simply copy-paste them into your signatures if you wish, I probably should've done that sooner.
I also have something to ask, does anybody know of a good file sharing service? Mediafire just fails to work, Curseforge rejected the files and doesn't give a proper reason (although if I can't find a suitable alternative I may have to troubleshoot properly), I would continue using Google Drive but I'm getting a bit annoyed with people requesting to access the file (possibly due to confusion over access =/= download but still) and I don't like OneDrive for personal reasons. Any advice?
I was actually going to suggest OneDrive but that seems to be out of the question. DropBox might not be a bad choice but personally I would say CurseForge is your best bet. It's a bit odd that it rejects the files. Have you looked around for a tutorial on how to upload a resource pack to CurseForge? There might be a specific way that the pack needs to be done.

Thanks for the response, I'll give OneDrive a shot actually, it's probably got better since I last used it. CurseForge apparently emailed me last night with details on the rejection and said it was because of the inclusion of the thumbs.db file, so I'll give that a go soon if I don't like OneDrive.

This is the version for 1.8: http://www.mediafire.com/download/gku1wc1nn5h95c1/CandyCraft_TSR_V5.7.zip
Not quite sure if that's the one you download by clicking the link in the OP, but that's a direct link.
Also feel free to post which mods you use, and I'll get round to making textures for them at some point.

Sorry, I just had to...

Prototype for an Ocelot texture, based off Candy Corn. Let me know what you think!
I want to eat it

A thing is in progress, here's a sneaky peek:
I'm sure you can guess what it is.
New version's up and ready and is 1.10 compatible. Enjoy!

Yup, still going, should probably return back to it actually. And thank you, glad to hear my work is up to scratch.
Thx!

Really happy to see this updated to 1.10. Love this pack, even if the jungles make my eyes bleed slightly.
