I haven't read all the way through this thread so I'm not sure if this question has already been answered, but my Enderman texture and my spider textures aren't working, should I re download the texturepack and go from there or...?

Optifine - Optifine allows for finer control of settings.
MCPatcher - MCPatcher allows you to install mods and stuff with it. Or at least it used to.
The only way I ended up fixing the spiders/endermen was installing Forge, but it really shouldn't be needed. I'm not sure why it fixed my problem, but it did.
The short answer about the customizer is 'no, not yet'. The longer one is that the actual customizer hasn't updated to allow for 1.5.1+ textures. So even if I had a place to put them, it would stitch them together into one .png instead of as the individual files Minecraft now needs.
That's why I made the AltPacks. You can just rename the files in there and replace the ones you don't like. If I could think of a way to have it where you just drag and drop with no renaming I would do it. (Without having an individual folder for each texture. Yikes.)
To Everyone:
What exactly is it that people don't like about the paintings in SummerFields? I actually like them just fine, but I'm looking for useful opinions.
Is it that they're decorative more than traditional 'paintings'? I think that was because the pack was inspired by Jolicraft and a lot of Jolicraft's paintings do the same thing. It's incredibly hard to find properly fitting artwork that doesn't jar the feel of the pack. I like those little paintings, but they're 16x and I'd like to keep the pack at 32x.
Maybe I could check with that person and see if they'd let me use the designs and add more detail to them? Or see if they wanted to do some 32x+ ones?
I don't know what I should do with the paintings. XD

What I don't like in current paintings is that there are way too many ones useless to 90% of players (I think). Pipes? 4 types of different tools? Curtains and round windows (what? Who places curtains on stone walls? And you can't hang paintings on glass). There are even paintings of wood and stone Two proper 1x1 paintings never even show up for me.

I think if some pics look like 16x16 it wouldn't make them look bad, after all there is a minimalistic style of drawing.
...I can hang paintings on glass blocks and glass panes. O.O
The pipes I agree with. I don't use them and am always cycling past them. I do use the curtains and 'windows', though. And I like to decorate my workshop with the hanging tools.
I think what I'll end up doing is creating some paintings of my own to use. It'll take time, but I could offer them as alts for people who don't like to decorate with other stuff.
I really feel like the cabinet doors/curtains/windows are one of the selling points of the pack.

Would love some alternate options for the paintings!
OK...so...any requests/suggestions for painting subjects?
Just random Minecraft theme stuff or what? (I'm uninspired at the moment. If you left it to me right now I'd draw a bunch of animal portraits and you'd just have to live with it. LOL)
So, I have been working on Metallurgy support for Summerfields for quite some time now. But only until recently have I grown a distaste for my work.
I don't feel my work is really Summerfields quality. I don't believe it fits the scheme of the texture pack as a whole, and because of this, I've lost major interest in the support, as well as Minecraft as a whole.
Although these are my opinions, I really would like to hear your's (this goes out to anybody). Do you think my work is adequate, and should I continue the support? Here is a picture with all my work on ores so far, with some of the originals for comparison.

-SNIP-
I love them! Please, please, please continue support! The textures are amazing because they really stand out from the normal Summerfields metals, and I like being able to identify them as Metallurgy metals (like how they are different in the plain mod). Great job!
And you just gave me a great idea. I've been looking in the wrong places. There are so many thousands of wonderful paintings that are public domain now and no one really sees them much. (They always go to things like "Mona Lisa" and "Starry Night".)
Are you using Optifine or MC Patcher?
How do I find that out? v-v I'm new to these texture pack things I just found it on a texture pack site and downloaded it ^^;

Maybe you should ask a permission to add these to SF? Current paintings are horrible and these are amazing

That pack is also available at higher res - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/29950943/kz.png

Also I know you have a lot in front of you for mod support but can I request GemsPlus and iChuns PortalGunMod?
Not sure if trolling or serious.

Same here looks great!
Mayhalps since the original author is French a portrait involving Flanders Poppies is in order...

Nah, I just wasn't sure where you were going with it. You're talking about something like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/07/El_Jadida_cistern.jpg I was thinking of the little tiny ones that used to be on houses roofs to catch the rainwater.
And you just gave me a great idea. I've been looking in the wrong places. There are so many thousands of wonderful paintings that are public domain now and no one really sees them much. (They always go to things like "Mona Lisa" and "Starry Night".)
It really means a lot to me to see that others appreciate my work. Thanks again!
