THIS IS NOT FINISHED YETthis is my very first texture pack. it was meant to be simplistic, and more block'y. its not done by any means and i would love to get any feedback, especially critical comments as to what you would like to see (or not see).

(update 1) just finished the terrain.png. im gonna wait untill i get pretty far in the gui to update the pack. ill prob just wait untill the new mc update (because we all know how much of a pain THATS going to be...) so yeah. stay tuned!

(update 2) ok, im just going to update to 1.5 and show you what i have so far for the gui. also im really proud of my nether. love it

(update 3) im officially NOT going to make anything else (gui, items, misc stuff) but i WILL update the blocks through the updates. i would love to have someone take this and make it better, so if you want to work on a texture pack and do the guis and stuff, i would love to have you help!

It's just all so flat, and it looks just like a bucket fill.

thanks for your comments! the intent of this was to not change the way minecraft looks, and just give it a different feel, and change it up, without changing the game. i can also assure you, this took a while, and was a lot more than bucket fill. as soon as i finish the gui and armor and stuff, then i am planning on making another pack completely different. i have learned a lot from making this texture pack and plan on applying it to a different pack. again thanks for the feedback!

It looks nearly identical to the seven thousand and one other simple packs. A simple pack's most important part is color choice, so you can't limit yourself to default colors. Also, don't just simplify the default textures, make your own, from scratch.
Finally, even simple packs need shading, otherwise everything looks flat and boring.

thanks for the comment! i do agree, most 'simple packs' are very bland and unoriginal. i also see that may be the case with mine.(i do have some original textures just in case you didn't see them) but as i also said, this is my first pack, and i really want to keep updating it through the updates, and keep having fun with it. i did say earlier that im planning on making another pack, that will completely revamp the entire game! so as for now, if you have anything specific that you would like to see changed, i would love some input.
