The Far Future

This texture pack is meant to give you the feel that you traveled 4 billion years in the future where the sun is a red giant and the moon was long struck by meteor, partially shattering the moon.

I strongly recommend you use MCPatcher. This is to allow custom skies.

Yep, all that does is change the sky, sun and moon, but I don't want to destroy the default feel of Minecraft. I want to keep it true to original while designed to look like 4 billion years in the future.

Keep in mind that it can be hard to tell if it's day or night. Just look at the sky. If you see the red giant sun, it's day. If you see the partially shattered moon, it's night. The stars are just visible 23 hours a day. The only time when stars are not visible is during sunrise.

I do have another texture pack that isn't set in 4 billion years but the link below leads to texture pack that replaces the plain GUI with modern-styled GUIs.

Thanks for the tip. I added (16x) next to the title, people should be able to know resolution.

There is a property file that determines whether the star fades out. It's good idea to set sky color to black. There's an image that controls sky color.

Possible. It's just that I don't want to destroy the default feel. I can make iron stuff look rusty and glass appear cracked.
