What Does it Look Like? Will be updated when Optifine is updated to 1.7
That's quite good... Some of the textures look a bit badly drawn like the birch wood and the cobblestone. But it looks like you put a lot of effort into it. Keep it up
Thanks!
In what way are they bad? What would you do to improve them?
Edit: Also, the birch logs or planks?
In my opinion, the cobblestone looks much too busy and too vanilla, based on the style you are working on. This could be helped by either changing the design, or making the lines more of a dark grey, instead of black. From far away the birch logs look too bucket fill, and the dots in the middle are too centred. I'm only criticizing because I see loads of potential. Please don't take any of it personally and try to improve on the things I pointed out.
How do you mean too busy? Like, do you think that a traditional cobble stone texture is inappropriate in this pack? How do you like the two alternatives in the spoiler?
For the birch logs, I think I fixed the bucket fill look, and I've pushed the dots more off-center. I'm surprised I didn't see that sooner! That texture over a year old!
I think your definition of "Horizontal" is a bit.... off balance...
Most certainly. It was going to be called the "textured pack", but I figured that'd be too confusing. "I'm using the textured pack." "Which pack?" "The textured pack." "Yeah which one?"
"Horizontal" was a name a came up with early in development, perhaps as a comparison to the more straight patterns than the blockiness of my other pack.
Changes:
1.5 textures!
Moar mobs!
New gem ore textures!
Less cobblestone contrast!
2/3 of the V1 file size! How? MAGIC!
Other things I have forgotten!
Edit: Glowstone! Birch logs! Cake bite! Seeds! Blaze rod dust! Melons!
How do you like the 1.5 clock? Is it confusing? Is it better than Smells Like Teen Spirit?
Changes:
Mycelium!
New gem ore textures! Again!
Technically animated fire!
Better creative inventory!
A few pixels on Sandstone!
Other things? Other things!
Changes:
Detector rail on!
Comparator!
Comparator on!
Minecart Hopper!
2 pixels on mossy cobblestone I think!
Moon and sun textures fixed (moves to the correct folder)!
Although this is the 4th release, I renamed it back to V1 for the new update. It's the first version of the 1.5 release.
Yay! Well done for updating so fast! I haven't checked out the new textures yet, but I'll be sure to put it on my to-do list.
I try to keep the newest textures up to date, even through the weekly releases, so you can check back every Friday or so if you use the weekly releases.
1.5 V2 changelog: Connected textures!
Good God, clocks were horrid!
Birch color restored!
Achievement GUI!
Hopper GUI!
Fire2! Fire2?
Witch!
85% of previous file size! I forgot to use magic last time!
Other things I'm sure!
Congrats on your update! I was wondering when you would.
Yeah, sorry I forgot. I made all the fixes a few weeks ago. I think I thought I already released a patch.
So, I don't like the obsidian. I think that the horizontal lines could be longer. They look too diagonal.
Most other textures don't use the 100% diagonal texture, so it is a rare occurrence. I think switching it would make obby more bland. Other notable users of the texture are water and lava, and if you mix water and lava you get obby. That is the reason why obby has the texture it does. It's a nod to the fact that lava has the same texture.
So, could I just change lava's texture? Well, sure I can, but making it look good would be a lot of work. If I use the quick stretch method, the lava flow looks weird. Also, the lava_flow.png is already technically broken, and I haven't fixed that since it'd take quite a bit of work for very little reward.
Also; can we see more screenshots of the new textures?
I think I could do that.

Thanks for your great feedback!
Hey everyone, I'm back!
Whatever, I'll download.
Thanks for your input!
Thanks!
Sure! Pm me a link or something too.
This is actually fairly accurate. I always like having the ability to control the pixels.
Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.

Yup. Do you think that the gem ores would be better with textures like coal and iron or with the gems being smaller? See: Spoiler.
Obviously done without that hole in the middle.
Thanks!

I agree with this. They look a lot better with the lines gone. I'll put that in the next update.
