Is there a file size limit or anything? my pack is 54.1 MB and it never seems to upload (almost seems like it times out or something), in fact when I browse for the file and choose it the file name doesn't show up in the box or anything. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Ah, could that be the reason for another person too that the upload doesn't work? His zip file is about 17 MB.
Another thing i noticed - the widget isn't always displayed. I noticed it on 2 different computers and on iOS, sometimes i have to refresh the site one or two times until it's there. I added an additional text link in my thread, just in case...
You will need to refresh after posting or editing a post with it before you can see it. If it is edited in or posted while you load the page it's on, then, I guess it may get a bit glitchy. I suppose it's stability would also depend on the internet browser you're using.

If that's the case I find it weird they even have the option for 64+ packs, I guess ill wait for another reply.

Well, I managed to get my 59.9 MB v10 pack up. It seemed to take for ages, but it eventually appeared and seems to be downloading ok. I'm not aware of having done anything special to get it to upload. Sorry, mate.

Guess I'll keep trying then , probably my crap connection or something. Thanks Glim.

I found one problem, it says "texture packs can only contain .png, .txt, and .properties files", but in the default texture pack, there is a ".bin" file in the font folder. I suppose I could just remove it, but I'm not sure if it's necessary.

That file is being white listed I believe, it should allow uploads containing that file to work soon, although yes, for now you'll need to remove the file.

is this after editing your post or in threads that use it?

There's no file size limit, there are texture packs that are over 55mb. It may take a while if you have a slow connection, if you leave it for a while it should work If not you could provide me with a link to the file (however you're hosting it now) and I can try and get it uploaded for you.
I saw it happening in threads with only one (my own) as well as in the TAU thread with multiple widgets on the same page - there was only one shown for a while (even after refreshes), on different Macs and networks. But it didn't happen today so far, i guess it was just a hiccup at the start. =)
If you see it again let me know, for now I'll assume it was first-day hiccups. Thanks
Actually hadn't realized the full implications of this...you can tell I'm slow and old fashioned!
This is great! Gives me a more respectable place to keep my official download. I can even tell my other half, "Look! There's real gold in them thar' Minecraft hills". Might even cut down on the number of times I get walloped for working too hard on my texture pack!
my connection is pretty fine (optical cable) so it is not about speed... but nevermind, if I won't succeed with uploading I will send you the link to tp.
Sorry for the late reply, the forum didn't alert me to your reply! Did your upload eventually go through? If not please do send it over and I'll take a look at what the problem might be.
So, how often is the download count updated? I'm just curious because, while I don't judge popularity and other assorted measurements off of the total downloads, I do like to see when I reach certain milestones and such. I would think it would update on the hourly bases you mentioned, but it seems to go over a day without any change at all, then suddenly updates by 50 or so downloads. Is this just me, my downloads? Or does the widget have a separate download update interval?

The download widget pulls the information from curse.com every 60 minutes. The curse.com download count updates around once per day, so while the widget is updating the curse.com count isn't. I can ask the curse.com developers about this on Monday and see if there's either an issue causing this, or if it's intentionally updating so infrequently.
I tried it out and it works great. There's something wrong with the apostrophes in the texture pack's names, though.

Edit: Found a minor issue.
Note the escape code in place of the ' in the pack name.

For curse.com hosted, yes, although I don't think the save worlds feature is in the live client yet. I'll find out.
