lol, Im almost sure this is the 64x version. Also, 48x isn't one of the resolution sizes, its 16x, 32x, 64x, 128x, and it keeps doubling, so this is fake/stolen

Indeed. Although, the current Faithful is a very good texture pack, if you can get it right, then the new version will be pretty epic!

Theres a 64x version? And 48 x means that every 1 default pixel is 3 x 3 for 48 x texture pack so it should work for all of you as it works for me.
good work. doesn't matter that you used someone else's pack because you don't have an adfly link and im pretty sure most of the stuff on this forum is creative commons - credit was basically given in the title.

Those are NOT the only resolutions. There are 7x texture packs, 8x, 4x,. It can really be any resolution you want it to be. Those resolutions you listed above are just the ones everyone uses.

As of 1.5 though, Minecraft will render it's textures and analyze the textures on a scale of a power of 2. So only the standard resolutions will be compatible. I tried a 10x10 once, and some pixels were squished to fit, because even now, the resolution must have a whole square root.

Nope.
Those resolutions they listed above are the ones that Minecraft can actually render properly.
From your screenshots, you can see that the pixels are distorted and misaligned.
Might look "fine" from a distance, but up close it doesn't look too good.
This is probably made with a filter from the Faithful 32x32 texture pack, that it what almost all the "Faithful" like texture pack are made of. Lots of them not noticeable, others WAY to easy to see.

do I need permission to alter the default?
It should work in 1.5 I've tested it with latest snapshot.
well i suck at all 64 x 64 but 32 x 32 is a lot easier so I found the one that is 3 times the default.

48x48 Minecraft Renders Fine :3

Nope.
If you use Optifine instead of MCpatcher, it can run any resolution fine.
