Hello fellow players! This is my texture pack, minecraft SimplySolid.
(MY FIRST COMPLETE TEXTURE PACK, NO HARSH FEELINGS)
It is 100% done!
Changes will be made!
Detailed edition coming soon! Wait, I don't even... 1.5 is in the making!
Jan 24 2013 5:42 PM: Added animations and improved textures. Jan 27 2013 12:15 AM: Texture pack has a name change. Ignore texture pack description. Jan 29 2013 7:05 PM: Mod support. Jan 31 2013 5:02 PM: Updated mod support.
NOTE: If you do not want texture animations, turn animated terrain off in optifine!
Another simple pack... Let me outline a few things for you, mate:
Simple packs don't reduce lag. At all. Only lowering the resolution affects lag. Also, animations create lag, so adding animations didn't benefit the idea of the title.
You should add shading, detail, and a pinch of your own style to your textures. Check out the Texture Discussion section; it has valuable information and tips, including how to post pictures.
And i hope i did not copy another texture pack by mistake!
I don't understand how you could be unsure of copying someone else's work. Sure, every generic simple pack looks almost exactly the same, but not knowing whether you took someone's work is odd.
Also, this pack technically doesn't need Optifine, as it is 16x, and can run without custom water/animations.
A example of a Texture Pack that reduces lag is My Texture Pack its 8x8 which is a lower resolution.
An 8x8 texture pack doesn't reduce lag at all, since it's really a pixelized form of 16x16, not actually 8x8.
Minecraft does not support 8x8 texture packs.
Saying something is bucket filled also means its flat and no detail. Simple does not mean lacking in detail. It is possible to make very detailed simple packs.

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.
Says everyone ignorant person who judges too fast.
I used the pencil tool, as paint.net think brown will be green as well.
And dark grey "rendering" as black.
Ignorant? Ive been working on my own texture pack for over a year. Ive been working with GIMP for about 5 years. Im not ignorant to how images are made.
If you used the pencil, then you wasted time cus the bucket could achieve the same results in a few minutes.

This does not remove lag in any way whatsoever. It's still 16x, therefore it will load at the same speed as any other 16x texturepack. Animations will make it even slower. It just looks like you're playing Minecraft in 1982 instead of 2012.
Also, if you're trying to be a sad, pathetic, troll - as is coming-across through your attitude within this thread - then just stop, you look like a tool.
This pack would've taken little-longer than 5-minutes, had you known to use the bucket-fill tool, and looks horrendously-poor as a result. You could, at very-least, try to create a unique palette for this atrocity.
I tried. I run minecraft off a computer with a floppy drive. Show me some love.

The bad graphics card error has to do with your OpenGL being outdated, not with the quality of your texturepack... Trust me, I play on a laptop that has the only graphics card that is explicitly listed by VALVe as incompatible with Source games. I've played Portal 2 where Chell is bright metallic blue when viewed through the blue portal and has shining pink eyes when viewed through the orange portal. I know all about having crappy hardware that leads to lag.
Simply making the textures use identical pixels more often than slight variations of those pixels doesn't change how quickly they render. It just makes it look like the game was made when it was not possible to have those slight variations.
I'm not saying your work totally sucks or anything evil like that, it's just not going to decrease anyone's lag in any way.

I might just rename my pack.

Curse PremiumSo I'd highly suggest a name-change.

get rid or stress here. http://www.mondomedi...ppytreefriends/
wat
Your computer specs have nothing to do with the quality of your textures.
Seemed greedy to post on my own topic for some reason. FOR NOW.... ●‗●
and that is a nice lizard you got there.
yes indeed, i tried to reduce lag. Think of it. I got the bad video card error with a comp with a floppy drive.
Not surprising.
