I'm intrigued by your talk of animated redstone, I am interested to see the dropper and dispenser now, it would be a nice touch to see mechanical animations if its not overly distracting, as for further animations maybe you could add a mild occasional glowing or pulsing or sparkling to the redstone block/lamp and maybe a dull shine on the daylight detector as in the way when the sun would hit it.
I'm still not certain what I'm going to do for every block. I don't think I'll do that for the daylight detector, though, simply because it would look weird at night and there's no way to make the animation cycle based on in-game time. The animations just start when the player logs in.
My avatar is basically the embodiment of me. Well, kinda. But there are some elements from things that I like: A fedora because I like Indiana Jones (And I have a fedora that my dad gave me); the green cloak because Aragorn; the lightning because it's cool; the sword because why not (you should understand its basic design choice, though, Alvoria ). There also may be a hint at something secret that I have been working on in there as well...but you'd have to re-err...see it for yourself to understand what it is I'm referencing with it. Also, I used a Super Nintendo Entertainment System palette for all the colors.

I get it. Very cool. You've got some major style, and I do appreciate the pixel art. Very nice.
Since I had been working on my texture pack for a while, I decided to build something to show it off to celebrate the completion of all block and item textures. It looked good, so I decided to see what it looked like using Sanity. It looks amazing that way, too. Here's one of three pictures I got of it using Sanity:
If you want to see more pictures or what the other texture pack looks like, go to my Flickr page at http://goo.gl/mW2Pq
In other exciting news, I just re-requested a LEGO catalog for the 2nd time!

Not bad. Not bad at all. Looks like one of my builds... and by that I mean it needs more details.

I like your pack. It has a cartoon look, but in a good way. You pick dark colors for your lines, but they're good colors for the general shade of the block. I'll bet that glowstone doesn't tile well, though. Also, the lines in your planks could stand to be a bit darker given the rest of the pack. Overall, though, I really like the direction you're going and am looking forward to seeing more.
Yeah...I was kind of rushing the build, to be honest, and I could have done a much better job with it if I took more time than I did on it. Come to think of it, I usually have decor all around the place that represents the general theme of the build, and the only instance of that in the tower is the "prophecies" on the second floor. Oh, well. I was going for a LEGO Ninjago reference and that's vaguely what I came out with. I should probably make a thread for my pack, though...

I'd love to see more of your pack, actually. If/when you make a thread, please let me know!
Speaking of Texture Packs, and not to be needy but this is my thread after all, would someone care to comment on the new additions to mine? I'd like some feedback before going forward, if you would all kindly take some time out of your busy days to do that. Thanks.
The animations look nice, and aren't intrusive at all. I got distracted going to The End and killing the dragon with snowballs, so I couldn't see the villagers in-game, but the texture file looks good! I like how you changed the piston texture, too!

Cool. Glad you like them. I was worried they'd be too obnoxious, but I guess they're not blocks that you see all that often, so I suppose it's not that big a deal. Unless someone gives a contradictory opinion, I'll probably add more.
Check out the villagers sometime. I'm spending WAY too much time on that project considering how much I still hate the villagers. Although, I have to say, I find the batch coming in the next update kind of endearing.
Yeah, If you found the youtube video it is one of the worst, I like rythian's videos and if you watch the series through it makes more sense then just jumping in, though Zoey is a bit... strange
zombies-sucks.
lava-fools the transforms.
char-sucks.
armor-as stupid as no.
the texture SUCKS
and to the huuuuge pixels.
Yes, but tell us how you really feel.
OK, first, what actually "sucks" about my textures? You've told me nothing other than that you have a chip on your shoulder, and felt like attacking my pack. Why do zombies suck? Why does "char" (whatever that is) suck? Why do you feel the armor is stupid as no (whatever that means)? What do you mean when you say "fools the transforms"? No seriously, I have literally no idea on that one.
As for the "huuuuge pixels"... it's called 16x resolution. Some people like that style. Attacking it is like attacking a brand-new car just because it happens to be red.
Anyway, your post isn't going to help me improve this pack in the slightest, so unless you'd like to come back and clarify some points and give some constructive criticism I'm just going to assume that you're flame-bating and ignore you. No offense if you didn't intend your post that way, but considering your total lack of descriptions, that's how you came off.
Anyway, the villagers and I are going on vacation:
Yea, Ocean, River, and Beach-spawned villagers will hense-forth be wearing floral-patterned shirt, shorts, wetsuits, and other beach-related apparel.
As always, constructive criticism is welcome. Telling me that my work "sucks" will not get you anywhere, though.

You've heard that song to?
No, but Alvoria, I am happy with the textures of the mine carts and the dispensers, they look good, I have advertised you pack to my friends and will on our minecraft series that we started, yet sadly are terrible at. Except for me seeing as how I am the only one who has not died, have diamonds, and a nice house/magi quarters
Just as long as you continue this pack everything will go according to plan!
I'm joking, the animations of the dispenser and dropper are great apart from a light flash on part of the border in a frame of the vertical dropper animation that's the only distracting part, the rest is great
I'll go back and revise the vertical dropper a little bit. I don't think it was quite what I was going for anyway, so I'll add it to the to-do list. Thanks!
With each new set of villagers I am feeling less and less like unleashing some cruel incarnation of my wrath upon their humble existence.
This is pretty much the whole reason I took on that ludicrous project. I want villagers to feel less like temperamental vending machines and more like... well... like true NPCs. Giving each set a 'culture' made them less homogenous and more interesting. Glad it's having the desired effect on more than me!

Cool. Care to post a link? I'd love to see an LP with my pack!
That's really good! It has its own life I like the stone color. Also, the idea for the glass and the dead bush are nice, they're unique. And your vines make me think about barbed wire, don't know why ^^
Uh... is that last bit supposed to be a compliment or... what? But I'm glad you like everything else!
The contrast between this dark line and the pixel around is more visible than the rest of the texture imo.
Oh wow! And I thought I was picky. I smoothed it out a little bit, though I don't know if it's any better. Please check the next version of the pack and give me some feedback.
I've been working on animations this week. In particular, to celebrate the return of one of my favorite mods I added animated textures to all of the chests!
The unfortunate thing about working on animations is that they're hard to show on the forum thread. I guess you'll all just have to get the next version of the pack when it's released, and then try the Utility Chests mod to see them.
BTW, if you do, don't use Optifine. Too many chest animations breaks it, I found out.
1. It was a joke, not a good one mind you, He had his "complaints", in mini stanzas, It reminded me to just the lyrics of some song
Yes it is a plan that will make your texture pack popular, along with my minecraft series. *Note for first two episodes texture pack may not be used* Yeah I will get you a link once our third or fourth episode happens.
The sand is one of the textures I look in first in Tp, I love it and it's very hard to make one who tiled well whithout being repetitive. But it might sounds picky, I admit it. Thanks for considering it! I'll check when it comes out.
Pet peeve. Got it.
But seriously, it's a legit flaw that you pointed out. I'll keep trying to correct it until I've gotten it right. Thanks for being picky!

Cool. I'm looking forward to it. If there's any quality at all, I'll probably subscribe to you.
OK, I know this has nothing to do with texturing, but what do you fine folks think of this:
My first attempt at vector art in about a year. I'm thinking of using it as my avatar since in-game screenshots are SOOoooo last season. Thoughts? Critiques? Anything?
I'm currently working on Swamp Villagers. If I don't take anymore detours to try other artwork, they should be done by Monday.
I'm thinking of releasing a new version on Thrusday, even if there isn't any new content in the Snapshot. Thoughts?
that looks cool, I may get a OOTS style avatar is said skinshop doesn't mystically go out of business in the next week... I never noticed the hair on your avatar wasn't on the corner until now.

ModeratorShhhh.
Read the license agreement in the OP. If nothing you're going to do with this pack violates that agreement, then the answer is yes. Otherwise, no.
If you're just going to recommend it, and aren't going to be distributing the pack at all, then there's no problem. Go ahead.
Thanks for taking interest in my pack!
