Well don't be that rash, now! I'm sure others would like to see a holiday version, too, and you consistently take feedback from the people on the forums, so you'd be inconsistent if you didn't!

Actually I'm mostly just not sure if it's worth the effort, or even if I'd be finished by Christmas. As of right now, it's only five days away so there wouldn't be any time for everyone to enjoy it even if I started on it right now.
If I get a few people who seem to strongly want me to make the attempt I will. Otherwise, I'll just shelve it for this year and try to have it ready to go next December.
Hmm...valid point. I guess that could be the main feature for next year, though; a few holiday-themed tweaks. It'd be interesting to see what holidays you're biased towards.

Halloween and Christmas are really the only two holidays I REALLY like. Most other holidays I either don't care about (St Patrick's Day), care about only if they get me a day off from work (any patriotic holiday), or just outright dislike (Valentines day... because I'm always single). Whether or not I'll make an add-on for either or both of those first two is anybody's guess. I'll probably be working on Fall of Autumn come Halloween, but maybe I'll get a Christmas-themed add-on done and ready to go. We'll see.
. "Sanity" v.4.14 is now available for Minecraft 1.8.1 And the 1.8.2 Prereleases.
Changes to this version include:
● Improved Jungle Log
● Remade Acacia Leaves
● Remade Creeper
● Add unique textures for Quartz Slabs
● Improve Granite texture
● Randomize textures for Granite, Diorite, and Andesite
● Improve Packed Ice texture
● Add Custom Sky Color (MCPatcher Feature)
● Tweaked Custom Biome colors (MCPatcher Feature)
So this is the final update... for 2014. I have one more update planned after this. Possibly two depending on whether or not I get all of the ideas I have added in time for the next one.
As I predicted, I didn't manage to get the Christmas add-on pack finished in time for Christmas. I did start on it, however, so I'll probably get it done in time for next year. If I work on this pack between the next update and when the 1.9 snapshots start coming, this is what I'll be working on. I'm planning to do all of the vanilla stuff right away and leave all of the MCPatcher features for next November since I have no way of knowing what the state of modding will be come next December.
So let's talk about what I'm going to be doing going forward. First and foremost, I'm not going to be working on another pack for a while. I'm kinda burned out right now, and need a break. The only way I'll reconsider is if someone approaches me to continue the Regalia Collab... but the odds of that happening are slim to none.
So what am I going to do? Well come the new year I'd like to get my video recording and editing setup straightened out start doing some Youtube videos. I kinda said this last year... but it didn't happen due to software problems I've been having. A new version of everything has been released which will hopefully fix these problems, but I haven't tested it yet. If all else fails, hopefully I'll get some extra money for Christmas to spring for Adobe Premiere.
So on this channel which I'll hopefully get to do this time, I'm of course going to be doing Resource Pack reviews. Because, you know, I already write gigantic critiques for packs. I may as well do it in video form while subjecting you all to my voice. Besides that, though, I'm not sure what to do. Of course there's the obligatory single-player series. That's a given, even though it's not that original. I'd like to know what all you'd like to see if I decide to and am able to go through with this. Let me know!
So that's it for me this year. I hope you all have a VERY Happy Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!

I'm on the consensus wagon here; sounds like a strong plan. I'll actually be able to do some video stuff soon, hopefully, as I'll be getting a new computer in a few months, hopefully.
Anyway, as to what I would like to see, I'm rooting for you to play Delver (and possibly make textures at some point when your texture-mana regenerates...) and, if you can manage, some Zelda games if there're any you'd want to do.
I think it would be cool if you brought back mod support. I think you should make them seperate patches/add-ons to the original pack like Sphax PureBDCraft. If you did not want to take the time to make these patches/add-ons, I am sure that some community members would not mind. A good one to start with would be Yogscast Complete Pack, because it includes pretty much every popular, good mod and then you would be able to release seperate mod-specific patchs/add-ons using the same content from the big pack one. It would really increase your amount of supported mods. Also, before that you should make one that is for your mods (or two if you do not want them combined). By the way, I love your pack!

I'm not sure at all what you're getting at. The community would not mind what? I don't see how using an existing pack as a base would help me at all since I do everything in my pack from scratch, and always will. I would still have to spend the time to actually make the textures, so that would save me absolutely no time at all.
I'm glad you enjoy this pack. Please use the official banner rather than the one taken from my signature. Having HALF of a banner in your signature looks tacky, and does not reflect well on my pack. Thank you.

Umm... No offense, but if it doesn't look good, then how come you do it? I only did it because I like both of your packs, but I didn't want two banners in my signature, because the more you have in your signature, the less likely people will read the whole thing. Do you still want me to change it?
P.S. The Mint Flavor half of the banner seems to have glitched out and vanished... So... That may only be on my screen, I do not know. If it is not just for me, then... I guess you could say problem solved... Sort of.

Yea, that's the point. Two halves of a single banner and you only have one half. If you only want to advertise the one pack, use the official banner. If you want to use them both, please use both halves of the banner in my signature.
Keep in mind though that I delete and update the version that I use for my own signature from time to time without any regard for other people. If you choose to use the version from my signature, it may cease to exist without warning. You can circumvent this by re-hosting the images on your own account in order to continue using them.

Wait, your signature is two images put together? Oh, DERP ME! I just didn't click both half-banners and arrange them! I didn't bother to look at the banner when I put it on my signature. Yes, you are right! That is tacky, having half a banner! I thought that was just a glitch and it wasn't supposed to be like that! Geese, I am an idiot sometimes... Yes, I will replace it with the half-and half banner right away!
Sorry And Thanks!

I've been playing this darn game for, like, 8 years now... I take long breaks from it now, but I always find my way back!

Yea, the reason I did that was to have a link to each pack while making it look like a single banner. Most people will click on the name that they want anyway (a subconscious habit that comes from having been on the internet a while), so it made sense to separate it.
It seems you've got it working now, though without any links. Ah well. Thank you for helping to promote my packs anyway.

Oh yeah... That's odd that it doesn't have a link... Oh well, if they can't click it, they'll just look it up.

I think that'd a tad bit tedious. If I see someone advertising a resource pack and it doesn't direct you to the thread, I loose interest almost immediately.

This exactly. angry_freeman6543, if you're not going to add the links then you may as well not really bother. It's not quality advertising if you're making people do the legwork. This is why I provide banners with per-formatted links so you can copy-paste them into your signature. Making people think is the worst possible thing you can do if you're trying to get people to do something.
Speaking of, I fixed the download link. Curse is getting really bad at maintaining link integrity on their site between updates. Hopefully going through CurseForge instead of Curse will solve the problem. If not, I'm seriously going to want to stop using them as a host. The rewards are getting worse and this little problem screwed me out of a month's worth of downloads making it even less likely I'll ever get to cash out.
Feedback is appreciated... though who knows if I'll ever work on this pack again. Starting to feel like it's more trouble than it's worth to be honest. And no, that doesn't mean I'm going to work on a new pack. The Minecraft community isn't interested in new packs anymore, so there's no point.

I do not accept pessimistic attitude on these forums mister! Though, now that you say, I think almost everybody goes for Dokucraft and Sphax rather than the other very good packs out there that are either 101% complete or in the progress of making. It saddens me when I see the popular YouTubers use Sphax; giving more attention than it really needs, to be honest.
I, for one, will always be interested in new textures. I hate seeing the same thing over and over which forces me to find something fresh and new. I'm always interested in what people have to offer and I get excited to see what Mojang gives me to texture.
But on topic, Sanity is a great 16x pack I've had the pleasure of playing, experiencing, and learning from. Everything has so much love, sweat and blood put into it. Whether it's the extra layer of foliage on the grass or the subtle difference between Silverfish eggs and regular stone, lots of love is in almost every block. One thing that really bothers me is the steam lines radiating off of the stews. I can't wait to see what Minecraft 1.9 has to offer to see the texture you and many others will do.

Yea, I never liked those lines either. The main reason I did that was because it was difficult to tell soup from the bowl without some kind of indicator.
Maybe I should take advantage of the items now having full transparency and add proper steam. What do you think of that?

Yeah, that sounds great!
