This pack is so good. I thought I wouldn't be a fan of the theme at first but it grew on me. I love all the minor details that most texture creators don't pay attention to. Obviously a lot of time and thought went into making this, simply amazing work! Thanks Alvoria!
I agree with AngeloTangelo, the jungle wood on the right looks better to me. The richer red color just suits the vibrancy of the jungle more than the duller wood, and it adds a sort of subtle pop that other things have in Sanity. Also, redwood. Funny thing, too, because I never cut down any trees in the jungle and it's illegal to do so in the redwood forest in CA (although that
I do always like how you give us options, and it works well; it's been here since the beginning!

I am pleased to announce that consensus has been reached! Thank you all very much for your feedback. The one on the right will be added to the pack in the next release.

Usually I know which way I want to go... but occasionally I want some feedback. This time in particular I wasn't sure if people would go for the more subtle version (because wood), or the brighter more vibrant version. I preferred the vibrant one (which is why I made it)... but I wanted to make sure others would enjoy it as well. Turns out you all do. YAY!

Thank you! I'm really glad that you like the little details I added to the pack. I put a lot of time into the little stuff, so it's really gratifying when it gets noticed.
I know i'm late to give my opinions on the redwood looking thing, but I'll go ahead and post it anyway.
I prefer the textures on the right because it looks a lot more polished and shiny compared to the left. If I build a house with that ore do the flooring, I'd feel like a rich guy!
No problem the texture pack is amazing for 16x16 it looks so much better than default.
If a pack doesn't look better than default it has no right to exist. That's really the baseline for what a pack should be.
But seriously, I was mostly thanking you for giving me your opinion on the pack. I love hearing what people think of it, either good or bad, so letting me know helps me out and gives me motivation to continue working on it.

Yea, I think everyone likes the richer, more vibrant red for the jungle wood. I think it's fitting of the rarest wood type that it feels opulent.
Trust me, it'll be in the next release... assuming I ever get enough things to work right to make a next release.
I don't know why I didn't post anything here before but now I do it. In my opion this is good pack, but not still in my top 10 list. That doesn't mean this is bad, never. (if you want I can post my full top 10 list ) I'm not a big fan of non-pixelart 16x packs, because those are mostly looking too blurry.plz don't look at my profile
And yet below you say my pack isn't noisy or blurry. I'm confused. Particularly because it is a bit noisy in places. On purpose I might add. Not all textures are going to be smooth feeling and, when properly applied, noise adds a roughness to the grittier textures.
And another reason why I'm not big fan of 16x non-pixelart packs is that I can't create em'. When I try to make those they are somehow turning out to pixelart.
Well that's awfully petty of you. No offense or anything, but this seems like a horrible reason not to like someone's pack.
I think that is still perfect pack, not too noisy or blurry. One of the only things I don't like are those nether bricks, they look weird in that high saturated blue color. I suggest to change em'. I don't find out any other mistakes yet. Great work anyways Alvoria! Bit more longer post this time.
I already lowered the saturation of the nether bricks quite a lot from the original version when someone pointed out they were too saturated. I'm not lowering it again. I personally love how they stand out against the equally saturated red of the netherrack. To each his own, I suppose.
Thank you for your feedback. I know this pack isn't for everyone, and that's fine. I still appreciate hearing what you have to say... even if I disagree with it.
One cool thing I noticed is that there is a subtle difference bewteen normal sotne blocks and silverfish eggs. It makes this pack 1000 times cooler
Wow! I didn't think anyone would ever notice that! Thank you so much for noticing one of the many little details that I've painstakingly put into the pack!
Also, I've noticed and issue with the Stone Silverfish Egg's name, I think I have an older version but I'm not sure.
That's a bug with Minecraft. It's the only block that does that, as far as I can tell. None of the rest of my custom-named blocks and items append ".name" to the end. I have no idea what causes it and I can't even find a bug tracker issue for it. So sorry, please bear with it.
BTW, the reason I gave the silverfish blocks different names was because when I search for "stone" I'd always grab the silverfish versions by mistake. I've spent more time in MCEdit than I care to admit replacing blocks in structures I've accidentally made entirely out of silverfish eggs. This is another reason for the custom textures as well.
Yea, it's kinda going to be because of how I do the glass. I cleaned it up a little bit in the screenshot above. Let me know what you think.

That looks much better! The ice looks great, but it seems to have a slight vertical tilling error.

I honestly wouldn't have noticed that if I wasn't looking through a bunch of packs to learn how to disable alternate blocks on dirt and sand. I just noticed you had Silver Fish eggs files and went in to check it out

ModeratorLet me know. I'm pretty sure I know which one I'm going with, but I'd like to hear what you all think too.
The one on the right looks better to me.

Actually this wood is supposed to represent a bright rosewood.

That looks great, but the pixels around the top look really messy.

Never mind, I hadn't realized there were blocks behind the ice.

Thanks anyway!
I suppose I should publish the new version soon then. Hmmm...
