Almost a year of Sanity...impressive to see it have come this far, although I probably shouldn't forget about this pack like I seem to be subconsciously bent on doing, as I still think this pack is really good. Too bad I can't really use resource packs anymore...with all the features that have been being added to Minecraft, my computer just can't handle it all with a resource pack, so I end up with >10 fps for the most part...even with an 8-bit pack that I've been working on in secret for a while...for reference, at around beta 1.6 I could run Faithful 32 without much reduction in fps (as in stuck around 20), and now I get a standard 15 fps on a flat=map and around/less than 12 on a normally generated world.
Yea, Minecraft really needs to be optimized. I'm sorry you can't really use Sanity anymore. I'm running into kind of the same situation. 15fps has become my average on my laptop.
Here's hoping Mojang brings someone on board who knows how to code a rendering engine efficiently.
I just recently got my windows 8 upgrade, I can now download things on the internet without my old vista crashing, so i have been messing with mods and what not, however i still get terrible lag from mine craft and usually maxing our at 50 fps on a lucky day, 20 when not, and 10 in the nether.

Lucky. I'd love to be at 20 frames with any predictability. The only way I get that is to look strait into the sky!
Oh... and if anyone was streaming on Twitch and wondering why there were no icons from this pack... now there are. Re-download the pack and enjoy them.

To be honest, I just hate the gritty style, its been done way too much.
It's probably a good texture pack to someone who likes that style, but to me it looks okay.
I don't like the sandstone blocks, it makes the desert temple look like reddish granite, and the designs on the side look like orange gas barrels in lava(I don't know why, but that is honestly how I see it)

I'm not a big fan of showcase videos in general, and yours was kinda difficult to watch as you went zipping around everywhere. Take some time to look at things, even if you're not going to talk about what you see which, incidentally, would be far more interesting.

Oh, and don't worry much about the update to 1.7.4. Nothing of consequence was really changed.

Yeah sorry about that. I was worrying about the video length. Because Fraps, my recording program, makes huge video files. I found a way to compress it today. I also uploaded another video and this time it's 6 minutes and all textures showcased.Plus, I started my own little texture pack in 8x8. It's very smoothy and cartoon-like.

I can see that. Still, technical issues are a thing that you should work out before you try to make things like this. With pack and mod reviews, you're not only doing yourself a disservice with problems like this, you're also doing a disservice to what you're trying to show off.

Hmmm. Sounds like the sort of pack that won't be well received on this forum. "Smooth" and "Cartoon-like" usually translates to "flat" and "featureless". If you decide to post it, be prepared for less than joyous feedback.

I can download things without my cpu crashing from the sheer weight of using it's one core now because i have a good cpu, so yes i have mcpatcher.

Funny, I haven't seen a lot of other packs in this style. At least not in 16x. Care to share some links so I can check them out?
