[Insert general agreeing with the crowd statement here using a creative and totally nothing-like-this post]
I like how I've spent loads of time on a feature that my core fanbase apparently cares nothing about.
OK, well, unless someone posts telling me they're waiting impatiently for me to get mod support working again, I guess I'll just hold off until I've got everything finished. Maybe get Mystcraft in there as well before release.
Secret Sanity Pack update today
"Sanity" v.3.1.1 for Minecraft 1.6.2 is now available.
Here's some stuff that's been updated:
• Added CTM-enabled Mushroom bottoms
• Added mod support for The Barrels Mod
• Restored mod support for Ender Storage
• Restored mod support for Not Enough Items
• Restored mod support for Useful Ingame GUI
• Restored mod support for Alvoria's Custom Stuff Projects
• Added Added animated Potions via CIT
• Zombie and Skeleton Horse Textures
• Individual Effects on Armor and Tools for Each Enchantment
• Support for the Project Bench mod
Well... it's been fun working on this for the most part.
As of now, I'm no longer going to be actively working on "Sanity". I've gotten to the point where this pack is no longer fun to work on. I spend more time on it than I do actually playing Minecraft anymore, and that's no fun for me. Add to that the fact that feedback has all but dried up, and I'm just not feeling it anymore.
My current intention is to keep it up to date with the latest official release of Minecraft. Aside of that, it's pretty much through though. I've added nearly everything that I want to add, and what I have left to do just seems like drudgery that nobody cares about.
That's why this is the "Kinda-Ultimate" update. It's not the last... but in a way it is. I won't be adding anything new to the pack, feeling that keeping up with vanilla is an existing feature of the pack and not something that needs to be "added" so much as maintained.
To everyone who's supported me along the way... Thank You!
...
And with that said... just wait until you see what I'm doing next.
Somewhat, you may be proud to have made such a thing, it's rare to fulfill a pack. And you did pretty well! I haven't played it in a while but I appreciate it more now.
Cool. And yea, I'm proud to be one of the few 100% complete packs out there. Shame there aren't more, and shame that having such a distinction doesn't garner more attention.
as long as I have sanity textures for vanilla it won't be too sad, but once that stops what texture pack will be my main D:
I'll try to keep up on vanilla at least. I'll probably have to change all of the stained clay blocks in the next update, which will stink because of how much time I put into making them interesting. There are lots of good packs out there if Sanity isn't available, though. Besides, I think a lot of the recent default stuff is getting closer to Sanity than it is to what was default, so there's that.
This is an excellent realistic pack with great quality and it's completely finished! I can't wait to see what you do next. (:
Sanity has been quite interesting to use, its style inspires me to build differently to how I normally would because of the natural detailed textures. I've also learnt a lot about MCpatcher's features by looking through its folders.
I'm really happy that my work has inspired you in some way. Really, as an artist, there's not much that can be said that is higher praise.
Thank you all so much. I appreciate you all for coming with me on this crazy ride, and for enjoying my artwork!
Wow, congrats on finishing the pack (is it congrats? Who knows, it's an achievement to be sure though!)
I hope to someday also 'finish' my pack in this sense, where everything has been textured by me and I just need to add textures for each update. Can't wait to see what you do next though, you've piqued my interest!

Gotta say, it kinda feels good to know I'm one of the few to have a complete pack. Actually, at this point the whole updating thing kinda kills my mojo, though.
That's... actually not a bad idea. I could reuse the same animation from Efficiency but without the fade and just put a mask over it. Cool! Thanks Miopic!
Except that it's not the rod that gets thrown into the water.
Any suggestions that don't involve worms?
A fishing rod covered in a Wyrm? Eh? Eh?
*after being hit in the face by everybody ever
The rod could have one those air freshener thingies (those trees you hang from cars) hanging off the hook
enchantments:
lure: shiny and shimmering effect like an actual fishing lure underwater.
luck:
- gold does sound like a good idea.
or
- even though the hook entity that gets thrown in the water is seperate, you could add a boot to the uncast item, I would consider catching a boot lucky. (:
I already settled on some designs. Tell me what you think of them when MCPatcher updates.

ModeratorSee if you can guess which enchantments are applied to each piece of armor.

ModeratorI might still consider redoing it as some point, but for the time being I'm happy with it.
Thank you!

ModeratorNow, anyone have any ideas on how the new "Luck of the Sea" and "Lure" enchantments should look on items?
Update should be sometime in the next couple of days. Look forward to it!
Luck: Turns the hook golden

Now if I could get a non-gross idea for Lure...

Bet you wish you'd waited a few hours to get the new snapshot features.
Kidding. But more seriously, thank you for the compliment and for downloading my pack.
Too derivative.
... with fish that they caught using their new enchanted lure rods...
Kind of impossible since the hook is a separate entity when cast. Otherwise, I probably would have done something very similar.
