I DL'ed the full pack again and I do see something weird with mob heads. Placed, worn or attached to mobs they look fine but in your inventory they do look twice as big. I dont think it is related to the texture of the mobs it must be related to a block model or something.
Hey, I’m glad to see work on this pack continuing. I don’t suppose you could add it into Curse’s texture pack listings? It makes for a handy location to download instead of browsing the forums. Thanks!

@altswang I was wondering if you were going to make public the alts you posted a month back. Also @Jman if they were to be included in the alts folder of the pack?
I've finished re-coloring the doors. It's very faithful, and again, I think that it would be better if someone made their own interpretation of these doors for the pack, as these are bland and boring, (but still better than vanilla!)
Again, I am no artist by any means, but this is just something that made me feel better, and I hope it will make you feel better too!

Very strange indeed, I wonder how that .json got messed up. I'll be sure to fix that in the next update!

How does one do that, exactly? I would be happy to, I'm just not entirely sure what it exactly is.

I absolutely will! I've been waiting for those alts for a while, they look absolutely amazing! I might even replace some of the originals with his alts, just for a bit of variety in the base pack!
Also, altswang, do you have the armor model for the golden crown? I especially want to add that to the base pack

Thanks for the quick response! I don't post much on the forums but I really appreciate what you do for the pack and wish you good luck!
Thank you! I much prefer these alternate textures compared to the (for lack of a better word) limp tools that are included by default. I think being anal about some textures can never be a bad thing.

No problem at all, I try my best to check back frequently! I did go through and swap out some of the originals for altswang's new ones, I think I did a decent job of getting a good mix in there! I'm usually wary about replacing Eld's original textures, but I want to make sure that the pack can move forward, too! I think I'll upload an updated pack very soon, so keep an eye out! Should be up within 30 minutes or so!
Click on the orange button for ‘Authors’ to share the pack. You can post updates from the same link, so it makes for a good repository of pack updates, I think.
No problem :). It's too bad we don't have a customizer or something anymore for people to select alternate textures to download. Minecraftcustomizer went offline :(. Only reason I bring it up is because I'm a little more hardline conservative when it comes to Eldpack and like all of Eld's original textures. I love the new textures, but in terms of replacing the ones that already exist, I prefer the original ones.
Of course, I know how to do it manually but the customizer would have been easier
Maybe you could have two downloads, with a main download containing the newer updated textures and then an alternate download that only contains Eld's original textures (or at least contained faithful textures, so maybe if there's a new ore block or resource block, it would have a border like Eld's old style.)?
That way, every time you make an update to the main pack, you don't have to update the faithful Eldpack texturepack with just the original files, because then people could just overlay the old pack over the new pack if they wanted? Or at least you wouldn't have to update it as much.
I guess I could do it actually if you're busy haha. But I think it would give people more options? Idk. Because I went in and put the borders back on the blocks :3
Again, just my personal preference! Please don't burn me lol.
If it's too much, I'd be willing to start maintaining a faithful version of Eldpack to compliment this one, since updates would not have to be as frequent, and you'd simply overlay the faithful one over the new one. I can post the faithful one here too. Let me know what you think! I love this texturepack lol.
I certainly wish we could get a customizer, that would be really convenient, and would make adding new textures even easier, I feel. But since that doesn't seem to be an option, I'm always careful to keep all old textures in the alts folders, to that clever people such as yourself can customize the pack as you see fit! I'm not sure how I feel about having a faithful version of the pack, as while I agree that staying as close to his style as possible is important, I feel as though there are also quite a few people new to the pack who wouldn't really know the difference. And most that do have been around for a while, and are probably pretty familiar with swapping textures, especially back when it was all one file and it was even more tedious!
So while I appreciate the offer, I think for now at least I'll stick to just the one link, more for simplicity than anything. If more people want it, I may consider rethinking, but I don't think I've changed too many of Eld's original work anyway, other than the recent ore block changes! Which, if you didn't know, the ore blocks are also in the alts folder. Thanks for the offer, and I'm glad to see you're a fan of Eld's work and our project!

I'm a rather active lurker in the MC resource pack community and I recently stumbled upon Cobbler http://dokucraft.co.uk/cobbler/ if you're not aware it's a couple month old customizer built by one of the contributors to Dokucraft, (However encourages the use by other packs"). From what I've played with it's rather polished, easy to use, and fairly easy to start a repository for a resource pack so you can customize it. Also all the fancy blah (ctm, custom cobbler interface, etc. , etc.) I don't know if you'd be interested in starting a repository for Eldpack but that's one option.
The scale is doubled hence the twice as big head. I would remove any unedited json we have for item models at just let the default TP fill in
As of right now, (even after the pack was updated with altswag's tool sprites), the default json files are still in the pack. I agree with altswag and I think it's safe to say that since Eld probably didn't work on any of the model sizes for the pack before he stopped working on it, we should remove the json for models all together as they are most likely default? At least for now, until someone creates new, custom models.
That way I think it'd just be cleaner, because then the folder would only be full of the custom models and would save on some space.
Here is a list of all of the items within the texturepack that were clones of assets from current or previous version of vanilla Minecraft (In Windows MS-DOS path style hierarchy. Old habits die hard. *.json means all json files. *.txt means all text files. You get the idea.):
These are all the files that I could group together as current or previous versions of unedited vanilla elements from Minecraft, but there may be more hiding in the textures folder. (%APPDATA%.minecraft\resourcepacks\#EldPack UCP 1.8.zip\assets\minecraft\textures)

Odd, I thought I had removed those in the most recent update. I'll be sure to have a look at that then, thanks for bringing that to my attention!
