Looks great, although do trapdoors actually orient themselves based on how you placed them? I remember they used to face the same direction no matter which way they were placed, causing textures like yours where it has a definite direction to look strange. Also, I had done a trapdoor texture, but it was very hastily made, so yours definitely looks much better!

you guys are awesome. Thanks for all of the work. It was good if someone made some mod support for tinkers construct but I know nobody got time for that. Still Eld pack is the best texture pack.
And why the lava texture isnt from the eldpack, why it is original minecraft texture?

It's our pleasure, and yeah I've dabbled in mod support before, namely the Aether mod has a decent chunk of supported textures here, but since I've started a modded survival server with some friends, I've been more and more considering, at least attempting, to cover some of my favorite mods, like Biomes O' Plenty and Twilight Forest, so it's certainly possible! Particularly if anyone who is actually good at texturing was a fan of any mods and wanted to take a stab at it, that would be great!
And as for the lava, I've been messing with having an actual texture for that, but basically with the original Eldpack, lava texture worked differently, and the old format didn't really convert well to how it is now, basically. If anyone wanted to work on an actual texture for lava, flowing water, portal, etc. that would be awesome!
EDIT: Alright, I'm leaving tomorrow, so I'm uploading one last update before I go. Included in it are all of the additions posted between the last update and now, of course, as well as me making an attempt at a few of the animated textures, i.e. lava and portals. Hope you all enjoy, I'll see you guys when I get back! Be sure to keep up the great work everyone!
I've been off Minecraft for a few years, but I've gotten back into it again recently, and as soon as I did I went hunting for an updated version of this pack, This texture pack makes the whole game for me, and I love that you guys have been maintaining it, thank you so much from a big fan of the original Eldpack from years ago. I'm hoping the textures will be up to date with the bountiful update soon

Ive had these altered textures for a while if people like a few i can post em up here. Some are slight variations that pry arent even note worthy, im just anal about some stuff. Others are majorly modified and the crown is a total redesign. I have the armor texture as well.
Those look amazing, although I presume CTM won't work with the bookshelves anymore?
Also, when you get around to it, would you mind redoing the 1.8 Ocean Monument blocks I quickly threw together? They look quite dreadful.

I certainly quite like them, go ahead and post them! I might even replace some of the defaults to those, just to have a bit more variety in the tools and such, and I've honestly always wanted a crown as the gold helmet!

I love this pack, so thank you to everyone who's who's contributed to this pack! It is my favorite texturepack in Minecraft, and I exclusively use it.
Glad to hear you're both enjoying the pack, we will hopefully have at least something for each new texture soon!
On a related note, I just put up a quick update that adds the red sandstone stuff, that I foolishly forgot about, as well as altswang's latest additions!

yeah i dont believe connected textures would work. but its just an option. 3d models are rather taxing on computers so I would just make a separate folder for that stuff

Basically, with this, you've fixed the only things I don't like about Eldpack.
It has been a long time for me and Minecraft, I am happy that someone took over this Pack because frankly it is the best one out there.
My problem is I cannot remember for the life of me how to install the pack. I downloaded the file "#EldPack UCP 1" and its a folder. What do I Zip after that? What do I put into the resourcepack file? When I put the Zip file into the resource pack file nothing shows up in Minecraft. I am sure its something simple and I am just not remembering.

Sorry if this is a dumb question.
Not a dumb question at all! Do you have the most recent version of the pack downloaded? If you aren't sure, just download a fresh copy. It should download a .zip file, which should work when placed in the resourcepacks folder, but if not, try making a folder in the resourcepack folder, and extracting the .zip file into it. Hope this helps! If not, feel free to ask again, I've never been the greatest at explaining things!
I don't know -Why- it wasn't working but I did what you said and downloaded a new version. Works now... thank gawd... this seriously is the only texture pack i ever want to use...

Glad to hear that it's working for you now, I recommend you check back here often, or follow the thread, so you can stay up to date on updates and such, since this is of course a work in progress!
Hi! I was using Eldpack, and for some reason the Whither Skeleton head inventory icon is waaay too big. i submitted a bug report, and the mod said that it was a resourcepack problem:
Also, has anyone made a texture for the new doors? I have been playing MC and can't tell if the doors have been skinned or not. The default doors are kinda super ugly. They look similar enough in this pack that, whether or not they have been worked on, I think it's about time they got the attention they deserved.
I can make a dinky retexture of the normal door, and that would satisfy me, but I'm also recognizing the great opportunity for others to create unique door textures here. I'm no artist, and won't pretend to be, so as far as I'm concerned a re-color is all I can offer. I'll upload them here when I've done it.
EDIT: P.S. I re-downloaded the texturepack and the whither skeleton head is still waaay too big.
I've finished re-coloring the doors. It's very faithful, and again, I think that it would be better if someone made their own interpretation of these doors for the pack, as these are bland and boring, (but still better than vanilla!)
Again, I am no artist by any means, but this is just something that made me feel better, and I hope it will make you feel better too!

I might just re-download to try and remedy that problem.
