You said you wanted Aether textures done, then I shall do them. I just need to learn how the Aether mod textures work and I'll be fine!
Thank you very much for that, but to be honest, I would rather have the mobs from vanilla be finished before we start working too much on mods. Not trying to sound rude or anything, I do appreciate it, but so far you're one of the few people willing and able to texture mobs, so that just seems like a better use of your talents
This is an excellent texture pack. I have for a few months lost interest in Minecraft, but this texture pack might just help me get back to it. I'd love to contribute a few textures, as I am myself a pixel artist well-versed in minimalistic art.

Glad to hear you enjoy it, and I would be more than happy to have you do some textures for us! I looked at your current texture pack, and it looks pretty good, I have to be honest, so I'm looking forward to what you have to offer
Please remove the bat's eyes. They keep scaring the f out of me because of their big red eyes. Can you change it back to default or make it look a bit like default?
Bretty goob, but the claystone is far less saturated than I'd like.
I decided to make it like that so as to keep true to Eld's style, but in the alt folder in blocks, you can find a more saturated version of all of them that's closer to original

While not necessarily a bad thing, since they scare me all the time even without red eyes, I figured I might as well change them, so I made the eyes a bit more yellow. I also included the original as an alt, for anyone who might prefer it.
Am I the only one who has problems with the heart icons for horses? They allways appear as pinks blocks and I dont know why.
They look fine in the default pack and I even replaced the eldpack icons.png with the default one, but still the same problem
Hmm, that's very strange indeed, the horse hearts are textured now, so I don't see why that would be happening... try downloading the latest version that just went up, and see if you still have the problem. Might just have an outdated version or something.
Speaking of latest version, I just put up a new version, mostly minor changes, but good stuff nonetheless. Most of which includes the use of CTM and natural textures, such as making a full CTM tileset for sandstone top/bottom, adding horizontal CTM for jungle wood, improving CTM bookshelf, and polishing off the natural textures file. I also altered the chests slightly, and changed the note block texture, now that I notice it's separate from the jukebox now. Lastly, I put the swamp biome color modifier things into the right place so they actually work, and of course, changed the bats' eyes :3
A new snapshot just came out. I'll have some of the new textures done by this saturday! As for the bat eyes, I'm going to be frank - they creep me out too. I can try reworking the clay stone though, it might be a hassle. As for what you just said about the Aether, I'll try and and get the mobs done rather than the Aether. I can tell the hardest mobs will be the horse.

Glad to hear about the snapshot textures, I was thinking of doing some but they wouldn't look nearly as good as anything you guys can do
For the bat eyes, i believe I fixed it at least somewhat, but feel free to change it as you like. As for the hardened clay, there is an alternative for people who want the more saturated and richer color, if that's what you're referring to. If you wanted to give a different spin to it, I'm all for it, I would love to see what you come up with, especially if you can find a way to please both sides :3
Small update on my part. Overhauled the icons.png:
- Carrots for horse health and fancy blended jump bar.
- Added a little depth to empty hearts, food things, and bars.
- Little color tweak to the network strength indicator.
I know this stuff has been done already, but I thought I'd share my versions...
Also made a lightmap to be used with Optifine and MCpatcher:

Small stuff, maybe, but good stuff. I like it, glad to hear from you again! :3
I was doing manual updates for about 10 minecraft updates to a variant of eldpack I used, as my spawn was built in style using that as the texture pack. I gave up when they switched to "resource packs" - i've private messaged you the details of my variant if you are curious.
Just keep in mind it had diverged from the original quite a lot, as I needed a lot of sci-fi space textures and quite a number of specific textures for objects specific to my server. It was changed so much I ended up renaming it to avoid confusion. It should be considered a very unofficial un-endorsed "inspired by" version - but 1 or two of the textures i used to keep mine up to date might be useful .. or not. Either way may be an interesting comparison between yours and another independent attempt at keeping it up to date. It is not a "released" pack either, it was only ever used on my server. So don't distribute it, people get really cranky about "altering" tex packs as you have seen *points to the last 8 pages* )
PS: Good work, i was trying it as I wrote this, it is nice to see my old original looking spawn style back!
PPS: Oddly my variant was getting downloaded thousands of times a month.. (gigabytes worth) and the only place the link was published was in the server.properties so I gather someone went to the trouble of sniffing the link and sharing it around at some point before i scrapped it.. This tex pack is so popular even poor knock offs of it seemed to be popular pfft!
This was my favorite pack in early beta and my first ever pack, Ahh fond memories... I think the work your all doing is fantastic.
I was wondering if you would consider trying to get it added back onto MinecraftCustomizer, as I seem to remember it being on there once upon a time
I've been considering doing stuff like this before, just to have it exposed more, and really the main things stopping me are having to keep multiple websites up to date, and even more so, running into trouble because it has Eld's textures in it. However, the more I think about it the less it seems like such problems would arise, but I always like to be sure. If anyone has any insight on this, please let me know, I would love to get more people using the pack!

Haven't looked at the pack yet, but regardless I do appreciate you giving it to me, any little bit can always help :3
Sorry everyone for not replying to anything for so long, I was having some trouble logging in until now. For anyone who was planning on doing textures, do you guys have any update as to the progress on those? Not trying to rush or anything, I know that quality work takes time and there are a lot of textures to do, I'm just curious. Also, if currently no one is working on them, I want to know if I even should bother making some place holder textures until someone does decide to do them. Thanks in advance!
We're working on it, the thread isn't dead so no one worry about that. Haven't heard from most of the texture artists in a while though, so when I get some free time in the next couple days, I might make some place holders for as many textures as I think I can do, just to at least get some partial 1.7 support out.

Thanks for the update, Jman. Just swung by myself to see what the status was, finally got around to downloading 1.7 and getting it up and running with texture packs and such.

Simple yet effective, I like it :3
I'm a pixel artist who makes pixel things and maps! I also do line art occasionally.
I have two work in progress resource packs!
This is the second one!
And of course, by "work-in-progress" I mean "will never, ever be completed".
Glad to hear you enjoy it, and I would be more than happy to have you do some textures for us! I looked at your current texture pack, and it looks pretty good, I have to be honest, so I'm looking forward to what you have to offer

I don't believe any new textures were added in 1.6.4, but I'll go ahead and update the OP accordingly :3
