This is a fix for people that used to have the vanilla random mobs in their .jar or in a texturepack and now see glitched zombies in 1.4.
I'm posting this over here because I couldn't find it anywhere else. Basically, the zombie skin layout changed a tiny little bit in 1.4.2, and I tweaked the former random mobs textures to match their default counterpart in the newer Minecraft versions
Optifine claimed to have fixed the glitched zombie skins internally, but I didn't see a change when they announced it and after trying it out, so I tweaked the textures for myself.
THIS IS MAINLY INTENDED FOR OPTIFINE USERS.
All credits go to the original authors of the random mobs skins.
The archive contains 8 fixed images from the 8 different zombie skins there were in the original.
Requirements:
You would either need Optifine or MCPatcher for the random mobs to work. It's also recommended to get the rest of the pack at the original thread mentioned above, and here.
You would also need WinRar or a similar tool to open your minecraft.jar, but most people that have installed random mobs in the past know how to do all of this anyway.
This guide below only applies to Windows.
Installation:
For the installation of Optifine and MCpatcher, refer to the original threads. This is merely a fix for Randommobs.
Minecraft.jar
1.) Rightclick the minecraft.jar in the bin folder, and open it using WinRar.
2.) Go to the 'mobs' folder in the minecraft.jar archive, and copy the files from the downloaded archive into that folder by dragging them from one to another, overwriting the old zombie textures.
Texturepack
1.) Open your texturepack.zip file, go to the mobs folder.
2.) Replace all old zombie images from that folder with the ones from the downloaded zip file.
(Intended for a texturepack that doesn't have its own (random) mobs textures like mine)
Again, this is only a fix for people that are stuck with the old textures that look all messed up using Optifine for example, this simple patch fixes it (at least it fixed it for me).
When do I need this???
Use this if some of your zombies look like this with random mobs installed:
Surely looks messed up
Just thought I wanted to share this little fix for people too lazy to tweak the images themselves.

I have the same issue, so it's not just you.
Ah good, did the zombie textures in my post help to fix it?
