Global Bridgehead V1 This is a very old and very changed texturepack. It was originally know as MiNEViLLE Default, then Corsia Craft and now it is unchained from server association and is called "Global Bridgehead". This is not my main texturepack, but it is one I have used and working on for a long time. It can be used for whatever, and is a nice creative mode pack, especially for servers (this is what it was originally made for). As far as I know modern texturepacks are pretty scarce so this might be to your liking or needs. All textures that have been changed are by me save one or two mob Skins by Mixter_Mike. Anyway, enjoy use it however you want, and post pics if you want. However, don't steal, that's just plain mean. So give credit whenever you use these.
Chain ArmourIron ArmourDiamond ArmourMy new Bacon Factory...
Quartz and quartz related items, some redstone and clay.
(The palettes and styles are similar to some of John Smith's and Gilmmar's Textures, but nothing was copied. The original texturepack for the server when it was private was a mash-up of those two and when I was working on this I had to keep the textures similar to their originals. I must stress however; nothing was copied directly.)
Good new screenshots, they make it easier to see the pack. It' s really good, but there are some minor things that could be nicer. Try to go through the terrain again, and update some things, until it feels like you are completely satsitisfied. I would also recommend that you add the patcher and change the water and lava.
So overall, good, but changes are in order.
I understand that the terrain has multiple tiling issues and small details that need changing and I will get onto that eventually.
In terms of using the patcher, I have no plans to make this patcher compatible as the reason this pack is native res is so that users do not need any patchers. As far as I know, the new update (redstone update) for MC will included various texture supports like animations and custom water, making the patcher even less desirable for this pack. But yes I do have other packs that make extensive use of MC patcher.
Okay, I understand your reasoning for not adding the patcher, but just try to make things a little more understandable, as I can' t tell what some things are. Keep it up though.
Some of the blocks are confusing? Hmm well I guess that is an issue lol.
Well can you tell me what's confusing so I know what to work on?
Thanks
Okay, after downloading the pack, I can now tell what's most things are.
But I would recommend that you change the glass, and glass panes. The colour of them is too vibrant compared to the other textures and can ruin creations, due to making them look too a bit too Star Trekk. It also looks like it hasn't had a lot of effort put into it. And with the cross in the middle, it restricts your view of what you can see out of your window. The completed textures are good, but the glass ruins it a bit.
I know I keep criticizing this pack but it's only because I think it could improve and I want it to be as good as it can be. Its all constructive.
Ha ha, don't worry I love it!
It's good to have someone take an interest in my work!
Glass has been a bit of an issue, I wish they'd just add semi transparency! Argh!
With glass I've made it deliberately restrictive for use on skyscrapers. As we all know you can't see though skyscrapers or most glass buildings, they're tinted. But as I can't tint my glass I've made it hard to see though which makes glass-walled modern buildings a bit more realistic.
I do have a alternate clear glass stored on the terrain sheet in some corner. I tried it out and didn't like it much. When notch finally does his redstone update I'll see what I can do :-).
The Corsia Craft server is down for a while, (time constraints) but I will be continuing this texturepack. I'm not doing any work on textures, however, until 1.5.
When Mojang's new texture system is released (and I have a chance to go through it!) I'll update this pack first. As of now, I don't think the sound pack will contain much, but I might pimp it out later.
Well after a quick google search this pack is all over the web, stolen by bots. Seeing as I'm not trying to make money out of this, I'm fine with that , and some of them even credited me. If you want just google "Global Bridgehead" to see for yourself!
However, I don't mind they've dont this, just don't download from them, because I can't guarantee virus safe-etc if I'm not in control!
Seeing as Mojang is going to be adding natural hardened clay, I'll probably have to change the hardened clay I have now; its coloured concrete. A mountain made out of coloured concrete would not look right .
I think the download link is not yet updated as I found out the texture pack is still in 1.5 format after I downloaded it, could you please update the download link so that people can enjoy the resource pack?

Curse PremiumHey thanks, for the like and the feedback!
I guess I will, mayhaps tomorrow.
I always have issues with side grass! Thanks for pointing it out, however (and I haven't forgotten the new screenshots!)
