That effect looks pretty darn awesome Syclone. I just seems to fit so well with how I imagine Redstone!
Was the emerald animation in the WIP pack you sent me? I never tested that out on my system...
--EDIT--
Pffft, I can answer that myself! Yes it is, and it looks great. I did not experience any noticeable lag. Awesome.
Thanks, I know CH redstone is more a solid than a dust so i thought well lets try giving some life that really gives a feeling of power. I did just start with a glow effect but started adding to it.
Well, that's unfortunate because I'm on a mac. Yeah, I'm using the magic launcher and I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly. I have first optifine then the shader mod in magic launcher. In the shaderpacks folder I took the zip of the shaders you gave me and put it in there. Nothing really appears to be wrong, so I'm kinda confused.
Great animation on the redstone, really looking good.
Great to hear on the redstone Ah I have seen many problems with people running SEUS on Macs over on the SEUS facebook page you could try posting on SEUS forum page here http://www.minecraft...c-shadows-more/
I will send you over the latest brighter non shader files
Have a few things to show guys, lily pads and lapis ore Taco there is a little glow to the edge of items on or near water its something to do with the shaders but i don't think it's too much of an issue. I think i will make the non shader water just a little more transparent. Any suggestions on what the Lapis block should be, what about some kind of tiled decorative block maybe?
This texture pack continues to get better everyday. Only texture I'm not liking to well is the cobblestone. I just feel its way to light. Speaking of which I wouldn't mind knowing if anyone feels the same way or if its just me.

Thanks TrueG You are quite right as only recently i have added a more bluey/brown and darker feel to the stone so the cobble is now standing out too much. I'll get that adjusted. Are you testing the 128 non shader version, i can't remember?

Thanks, I'll do that! Those lily pads and lapis look nice! The block should be decorative, maybe looking kinda like the vanilla chiseled sandstone? Something ornate and engraved would be cool!

Thanks Well i've got something done for the Lapis block, working on the tracks now.
I'm looking forward to the release of this pack, the first sight is just great!
Thanks, great to see you like it so far
I'm working on all the track parts which is taking a while but I did a Lapis block before i started on the tracks. I thought have a little bit of white/creamy colour would lead into using it with the quartz blocks maybe? Not much else to show till the track blocks are finished.
Just my opinion:
But I think the water is a bit.....BLUE IN YOUR FACE, BAM
My suggestion would be to modify the water colorX.png to a more natural looking color?
Great pack, keep up the work, I literally cannot wait for it to be released.
Hey, thanks for the feedback and glad you're liking CH I agree the non shader water still needs tinkering with, i've tried a few blues and it also need a little more transparency.
Been on the rails tonight/morning and got some of it to show you guys, let me know what you think. I will do a animation for the powered rail, still have the detector rail to do but getting there it may be a little obvious whats on the agenda next.......................................... Minecarts!
Is that the non-shader track or the shader? Seems a little washed out looking. Also, could you make the wooden part of the track a darker wood? Real track ties are usually soaked in creosote that makes them darker than normal. Something like a Rich Coffee Brown.
If possible I think the redstone ore would look far cooler if the energy actually looked like it was INSIDE the crystals. Something like they're more transparent and you can see the energy ribboning and flowing around inside it. I think that would be seriously cool!
It's quite difficult to do but I do think it will make it look better because the current redstone with that sort of red lightning moving around just doesn't suit the pack too well IMO. It just reminds me of a sith lord (from Star Wars) or something like that. A sith block if you will!

Just my 2 cents.

Thats the shaders version it can wash out some colours so i can easily darken the wood part a little more thanks for the input

When i did it i wasn't 100% if it was a bit ott but seems quite a few peeps like it. What I was going to do was give it a couple of fade frames and have it on a long delay so it only powers up every now and then. I wouldn't even begin to work on an anim inside the redstone being so tiny!
I could just have it simply glowing as i have the glow effect pulsing under the lightning effect.
Could you place a few of those powered rails in a row, all connected to each other? From the provided pictures it looks like they won't form a continuous of gold track, instead having small amounts of the normal iron between them? I'd just be interested to see
This is what I'm talking about. See how there's the small amount of iron at the end?

Hi, yes bump mapping will be supported I'm not sure when i'll start on it as plenty of the pack still to go.
