Iron door is first up, wanted it to look like it was crafted from the same iron materials so its flows with the crafting, same as how the wooden door does.
Any comments welcome, on this or any areas of the pack, suggestions, ideas all help help move things along
That iron door looks great. I think some of the cracks are a bit too flush through that bevel, they should be a bit off-set, but they look good overall. I also like how it is a bit darker than the iron blocks, so it would look really good in an iron wall.

O.k yep i know what you mean, drop them down a little so they look like they follow the bevel going inwards....... i'll get on it

Yeah, that looks perfect now! It was nice and realistic before, but now with that little detail fixed, I have no critique for it. There isn't anything to improve on.
Also, I would like another terrain.png, I'd like to try that iron door out in some buildings (as well as some other blocks you've done, that redstone lamp would look great as a wall light source).
If you'd like, I could post some screenshots of some builds with the new lamps and iron doors.

Hi and thanks, bothers you in which way? Theres been bit of talk over the pages about tweaking or changing the grass, it does look nice when its all blowing about in the wind with Sonic Ether shaders working their magic and fits the look of the pack.
I will look at some alternatives at some point.
Well it's more the dirt, necessarily. I guess it's those grey rock-looking things in the dirt.
The tracks look good, the rails are nice, though the boards are a bit blurry in my opinion. I like how you rounded the edges of them though, it looks better. When they're flat, they seem to stop suddenly and abruptly at the sides of the texture.
The grass also looks good, the brightness suits your pack nicely, and it really flows well. Nice job on that.

Yes, I´d like to test the new terrain!
I personally prefer the style of the old rails, but the saturation of the planks is better now.

The iron bars would help, and I'd like to see what those will look like, and the pistons would probably be used and visible in spots, but work on the blocks you'd like. Those would help, but from making packs myself, I realize that you can only make a quality texture if you are in the mood to work with that particular block, and I imagine that is worse with 128x then with 64x (plus, pistons have a lot of textures).
Woo Dropbox is far better for images, they are nice and crisp no horrible jpeg sampling of the PNG's. Now going to have to change all images on the thread eeek.
New diamond ore, more rewarding i hope to find this and i've used the old diamonds for Lapis.
I find that looks more like diamond ore than the last one, it fits in the stone better, and it is more "crystallized"... More... Shiny.

Your pack isn't post-apocalyptic, but the iron blocks, beds, lava, gold, iron doors, lamps and wool are fitting none the less. I have most rooms done, but I have the "Generator room" I need to finish. So far, I can say I enjoy working with those iron blocks. You should consider working with the CTM's random textures or repeating features so blocks like the gold blocks, that look good but are very repetitive, can tile better. Of course, I mean after you finish more on the pack, and hopefully release it, but it should be something you may like to look into.

I've been looking at the CTM Q&A thread some great info in there will post in there when i look more into adding them to the pack.
Here, I took some screenshots inside the factory. I only got the smaller rooms done, the generator room is the biggest so far. I plan to finish it, and the biggest room should easily be the "production room".

Ooh, I like those! They're unique! I've seen simple vertical bars, bars with horizontal parts between, but I've never seen that design myself. I really like that diamond shape in it. That should really help in making industrial things.

That would be fine for now, a rough draft or something for all the piston textures would probably take almost as long as making some textures.

Aw i quite like the bits of stone in the dirt others said they like the look also, its impossible to please all
Put some time into the rail track, not done the corner parts yet.
I've also tried a new grass floor texture, and lowered the brightness of the tall grass, what do people think compared to the old grass floor block?

Grass i thought was an improvement seems people feel the same so it stays
Mmmm, still not happy with rails still a work in progress of course, so shading is not refined etc
what do you think to this instead, sometimes less is more??
