Looks great though, I actually really enjoy the 64x one as well, just cause I love dem pixels. I think the pack is still the best in 128x res with shaders though, so that's how I'll keep it.

Ha, yes indeedy what a find Mr it just pulls everything together with that beautiful architecture......very glad you spotted it. I posted a comment and link to the vid on planet minecraft in the commets section of the map to say thanks but they deleted my post! Did i break a rule?

Oh i'm sorry i've been a bit focused on getting things done, will get all the testers the new versions so far
x64 and x32 versions look suprisingly good for a simple rescale. I'll use x128 version anyway but allowing people with older PCs to enjoy Chroma Hills is really nice
Yes! Please add more variety because current version (the old one I have ;P) is a bit boring in terms of foliage and grass colours.
Idea: add some red/orange/yellow dots in foliagecolor.png so we can have autumn leaves in some areas.
Thanks Yes after the rescale i worked into some of the textures for the 32x but 64x scaled great. Yes i will look at biomes colours, i'm going to tone down the green grass a little, and will look at what else can be done.
One single pixel sets the color for a whole biome. You can't have different colored textures of the same block in one biome, unless you're using CTM's random method, which would look really bad if you mix red/orange/yellow/brown with green.

Yes yes yes in answer to Betterskies i'm over the moon that Optifine now supports it! As to when when i'll have the Sky in well got other stuff that comes first
Just been browsing google and putting a ref folder together of clothing and such, i really need to look at the armour, i have plenty of ideas/ref for that, but i'll need to do a Steve skin so it doesn't look weird.
I really like the Dwarven/Elvish idea coming into the game it was never an intention to go down the RPG route but it fits more and more and my tools style needs some characters that would suitably fit. I've name all the evil MOBS the "Horde" Skeletons are hooded like the Black riders from LOTR (really must finish that mob) creepers are weird creatures of the night I'm not sure of Zombies yet, i'm thinking something less traditional as for all the others.....i'll get round to 'em
I think we are brewing a cauldron of bubbling ideas between us all, thats what i love about this place!

When are you going to release this? I say it's ready. It doesn't have to be 100% complete, and I think you've gotten far enough that it's ready. You have to do it sometime, and it's best to do it yourself and create a new thread before a mod moves it for you and you're thrust into the outside world unprepared.
That video just made me think that you have a release-able texture pack here. Congratulations!

I know, I know but there is still some base parts i must have done like the tools are not all done yet and the terrain is not finished 2 things i want 100% I don't want to have too much default vanilla showing through or people will start mixing in other packs taking the overall feel away. I do see what you are saying though I'm probably just going to ask for the thread to be moved and keep it going but obviously with download links and a heading to match. Definitely don't rush the pack, do what you gotta do. Of course i want it NAO but i agree, the more you have done before release the better.

As for the zombies, would be cool if they were something like off I Am Legend.

That may help some, though a lot of people don't read the whole OP anyway, plus it's more work for Syclone to do, which delays the release further.
For the monsters, I actually didn't have any thoughts of preferences... wow. Skeletons with hoods would be interesting to see... One preference I would have for the zombies would be to keep their skin green. It's kind of a Minecraft standard - I haven't seen a pack without green zombies. I think the basis for zombies anyway is to take the Steve skin clothes and rip and bloody them up. It would probably look just as good to do on this pack.
And spiders are spiders. There's not a whole lot to change there, except to make coloration fit the style of the rest of the pack.

Wow, I leave for a while and you release a bunch of epic stuff! It's coming together now, really looking nice. Love the mycelium and mushrooms.
For the mobs, I would like it if you made them a little different. It's something that seems to all be similar in texture packs, and change would be nice. But they do need to be recognizable, especially for those coming from vanilla. I agree about the elvish idea for the villagers. As long as they don't look as silly as they do now. That Lord of the Rings/Skyrim look would be nice.
You know what would be awesome? Bump mapping...

Not done a huge amount of graphic work, i've tweaked the non shader grass colour it was too yellow and i've been sorting the 6 packs and uploads out.........dam its brought a lot more work managing 6 of the buggers but hey ho

Sorry I missed that bit about betterskies up there, it was early in the morning and there was just so much writing.... I got a little lazy! I've got plenty of inspirational sky pictures if you need some ideas too as I recently just started redoing my skyboxes from scratch. Just drop a PM my way or something if you want me to link them to you, there are probably too many to just post in the thread...

Got a few pics guys, just looking over a castle map and liked the way the stone was mixed into to each other. Some of these were in 64x as well as 128x Also it gave me a good look at the Nether brick in builds and i don't like it it's just too harsh so it's going to be redone.

I would avoid doing something Tolkien'esque. To me your pack feels like a great old frontier rpg. its a little cliche, but how about a cowboys and indians theme, Steve the cowboy and the villagers the indians, like in Red Dead Redemption.
Or if that isnt your cup of tea, something like the Dark Cloud/Dark Chronicles games would be fantastic, too.
