Fantastic Pack! I haven't been excited about this kind of style since Ovo's Rustic - which I hope you take as a compliment. I am watching and loving your updates. Keep up the good work.

Without CTM (haven't done birch planks yet)
Dayum, fantastic work on that CTM!
Makes me want to do my planks like that too....
Also reminds me that I should make a world with a bunch of my new builds on it to give to you too! (got some interesting use of materials on the new builds too)

Oooh yeah send me the new world when you can Mr
Tried out some new birch planks, may even not CTM it and leave it boxy so it can be used to mix up builds? or shall i do the same CTM as the oak??
please don't do that sy I think that would be rather limiting than giving more freedom. just imagine how a whole birch-based house would look like. personally I love the wood as it is and if you wanna add CTM that would be cool too but this box style ... please no.
oh and a big YAY for the iron armor - looks very authentic!
I tried the diagonal look and also did it in full CTM without the boxy frames and it all just looks toooo modern for this rustic RPG style.
so I put the CTM on the normal birch planks and It just works the horizontal style just fits my pack This is becoming quit a builders pack and not being to creative with the look of the wood but making it all work well together is the key.
The only one i wanted to try something a bit different is the jungle planks, more like they are bound with rope and possibly vertical. Again the spruce will be same as oak, it just works

Hey, I like the way the spruce is looking. Neat idea with the top as it can be used for some flooring too. How about using two wooden dowels side by side rather than the nails?

Yeah, its quite nice in places but in big builds its rather glaring hmmmmm. Could do something other than nails i quite like the vertical just the tops maybe to over powering.
Hey Syclone, have you ever thought of using the sponge as a sort of special block? Something like a crate? Like this?
Aww I created a nice sponge texture a little while back well it would be easy enough to do something else.
Okay SO maybe I should keep the tops planks, but i could CTM the stairs so the tops are wood ends facing up. i leave the other top texture in the pack as ALT but i feel the masses would prefer plank tops?
Those of you that have donated to access my work in progress archives I've uploaded ALL the wood CTM so far so go try them out

Syclone- I just checked out the wood CTM in my hobbit hole build. I have a different user name in your forum... anyway, i do really like the spruce planks. But I use them as my ceiling in the build and the square ends look strange on the ceiling. The ends look great as flooring and stairs in my opinion.

Ahh yeah same as your IGN name I saw the same issue when they are on the ceilings in some builds here. I could easily CTM the bottoms to also be planks, that leaves the tops and stairs........ it would mean not using dark spruce stairs for roof builds though............maybe less is more again and go with planks all round, being vertical gives another build material already.
