How in the hell do I get my Minecraft to look like THAT!? Have I been doing something wrong or something?
Like this? Or...?
Because this is Sonic Ether's Unbelivable Shaders mod, and I'm using Syclone's shaderpack. Too bad it lags for me on a 20 inch monitor with only 11 fps, but it becomes playable when minimized. So any tips if you could help boost the performance, because regular Optifine settings like render distance won't even change my fps at all.

I was meaning the water. Even with the pack and all that, I couldn't get it to look like that.
Did you enable the shader in the options though? esc -> options -> shaders...
Then select the shader you want to use. I know that both the shader Syclone linked a few posts back and the v10 from SEUS both have working water shaders.
Yeah, did all that. But it didn't change it to super realistic like that. I might have the settings wrong. I'll double check.
*notice* no animals were harmed in the making of this lava, however Syclone did pull out more than a few clumps of hair and repeatedly bang his head on the desk in the 2 days it took to get something he was happy with***
Make sure its set to 720p (sorry the water detail gets a little blurry) must tweak my output settings on the render.
Yeah, what Sharky said really . One thing I've found really helps with HD texture packs is just allocatiing more RAM to Minecraft. The best way to do this is to just download the MagicLauncher and in the settings on that you can give Minecraft more RAM.
I'd recommend about a third of your total RAM, and since most computers have at least 3-4 GB these days that means you can put 1GB in, which could improve your performance a lot .
Also, on Optifine screw around with the AdvancedOpenGL setting. That has a pretty big impact on performance.
Yep, done the ram stuff, the only problem is that mt MC doesn't use all that ram, so I use 2 gbs or 4 gbs of ram. I could still use the shaders mod if I play MC on a windowed screen, not maximized out. Thanks for the help, though. My desktop has 8 gigs ram, but MC doesn't use over 2 gbs. I already knew it was just my graphics card, but I just wanted to see if there was something else to this. Thanks again!
This may be a solution, what are your pc specs? Sorry if you've already posted them. I haven't seen it if you have.
No prob.
Intel i5 750 Lynfield
AMD Radeon HD 5850 1GB DDR5
4GB DDR3
Windows 7 64bit
Um, not sure what else would be necessary. I know my specs still relatively good by today's standards, if a little outdated. Built this rig about 3 years ago, but wanted to make sure it would last awhile. It manages to handle just about anything I throw at it maxed or nearly maxed.

Hmm I'm not too familiar with Radeon Cards so I can't give much help. That seems powerful enough though. I'm sure someone else here can though.

"I'm sorry everyone, it's quite late and I didn't quite finish what I needed to in order to release the update. I'll do it tomorrow as soon as I get the free time to write the post. Everything is ready, I just don't have time tonight to edit my forum post and upload everything. Thanks for your feedback on m/4/"
This was quoted from SonicEther's Facebook about 9 hours ago which means it was about 2-3am when he typed this, indicating a release today! But don't quote me on this I am just speculating on his comments.
