Cody has made some serious progress with SEUS, really looking forward to seeing the finished 'official' release soon! I normally don't care too much for bump mapping, but it looks REALLY good with Chroma Hills.
Keep up the great work Syclone, I've seen all the updates you've done and it is looking good! I just ordered a 27" monitor and I think it's funny I'm more excited to see Minecraft w/ Chroma Hills versus the other graphically beautiful games I play.
Looking good hey Jakey boy I wasn't a fun of bump maps as its always way to overdown and takes away from the textures but done right it can really look good........myself and Cody are quite picky so between us we will get it just right
I'll have to try it tonight! Although the mods I typically use are still using 1.4.7 (basically redpower2) so that's a whole other problem. The newest GLSL shaders (and SEUS ahaderpack) only work with 1.5, but I suppose I could download the older versions...Hmmmm...
I will update the 1.4.7 packs actually as they have some old textures in them now!
And we are supposed to be seeing 1.6 really soon anyways, so that's going to be interesting for all the mods and shaders. Hopefully it won't be too big of a change (to still add in the mods I mean), otherwise I'll still be using 1.5.2.
1.6 is being released this week you can get it now, but shaders will stay at 1.5 for little while i would assume and also as yet no CTM MCP/OPTIFINE...........although i'm sure they are all just round the corner

I don't know if it's been talked about already but something is wrong with the lava. I used this pack before they redid everything to be resource packs instead and I remember the lava working fine. Now no matter what, it's a very weird texture. I tested and replaced the texture with a lava texture from another pack just to see if that worked but it's still the same. I'll show you what it looks like.
I havent found anything about that.
From what i understand there were multiple people updating the old shader mod (origionally made by daxnitro) and karyonix combined what someone else updated into his own after which that person dropped his updating and left it to karyonix to continue.
The GLSL shader mod allows people to make their own shaders (using GLSL language), i believe it was specificly made so people into shading could make their own shaders and people who wanted to could use the shaders made by them. If sonic would combine his shaders into GLSL shader mod it would pretty much destroy the purpose of said mod, as he most likely would have to hardcode it into the mod not leaving room for anyone elses version or it would probably overwrite his.
By using the GLSL shader mod , once correctly installed and shaders placed in the appropriate map, all you got to do currently is ingame in the options -> shaders select SEUS. Installing multiple shaders will just expand the list ingame for you to select from. Experiment and use the one that works best for you.
I should correct my statement. Sonic/Cody is working on GLSL and updating his own SEUS shaderpack. He's been busy. Go check out his facebook, it's full of awesome updates and pictures showing his work in progress. And we also have our own work in progress of his shaderpack here in CH forum, I can't get over how amazing the bump mapping is turning out (and everything else of course).
I'm pretty sure GLSL is going to remain flexible for others to use their shaderpacks, and I hope it does. It's very convenient to just switch shaders in the options menu, and I do like tinkering around with different shader code even with my limited knowledge.

Ah i'm assuming you have converted Chroma Hills to 1.6 Resource pack yourself or there's is an unauthorized version already doing the rounds i don't know about?

I will release it with the 1.5.2 version end of the week, you have to do more than just use Dinner Bones conversion tool as its breaks some things things that need fixing manually.
@Syclone the screenshots in your last few posts look amazing. Any posible ETA on your texture update or when Sonic is going to give us an update on his shaders?
Well yes Sonic has talked about creating his own code that will replace shadermod and be part of the SEUS family, this also led on to talk of the SEUS being installed into packs and not an outside mod.........this is just talk of course.
Glad you like the screens, ETA on pack update is end of week I'm not sure yet on the latest SEUS but Sonic said on his facebook his going to up the frequency of his test versions to his donators but won't release really buggy workings as his too much of a perfectionist

All I did was use dinner bones conversion thing that he gave out. What do I need to do to fix it? I converted it 2 times to see if it would fix but it did not.
Well, I tried doing the Forge>Optifine>GLSL method, and all I got was a black screen. I know it's the GLSL conflicting with one of the two, I'm just not sure which. Either I'm going about this all wrong, have the wrong versions(got the latest for all 3, which I assume I'm supposed to), or it just wasn't meant to be.
