you know that a lot of people is using the 32x32 because they can't effort a nice computer. So i don't know why you are not upload the 32x32.
Yep I do realize that but as you dont know I will tell you why the 32x is behind the others. I draw all the textures in 128x128 and the pack is still not finished and also i some times re do a texture or try something else as the pack is a work in progress nothing is totally decided as a fully final texture.....but i am getting closer.
So the problem is I can't fully work on the 32x version until the 128x version is complete or almost complete as i NEED the final finished textures from the 128x pack to scale down to 32x. Hope that makese sense?
It IS being worked on and preview version will be available as soon as possible.
Heres a couple of screens from the 32x pack but there is much tidying and cleaning of textures where they have been scaled (the glowstone lamps are still 128x)
I have 1 point that i keep noticing about the shader though. Not sure if its being worked on, or if its not possible to do at all. If you look at the screenshot below (from the once you posted)
The torches on the (oak ?) tree stems should still be casting light as well even though the sun is so bright.
Being in the shadow it should still cast light / its own shades.
Just thought i point it out, so far loving the screenshots and looking forward to the release of both though.
to you both for current progress
Thanks Noax, yes the shadowing of the actual flame is an area Sonic still needs to look at but has priorites elsewhere that need focusing on in SEUS for now
To be fair.... I'm definitely updating to 1.6. You'll need to also change to the new resource pack system. If you want you can carry on doing textures in the old layout and then use Dinnerbone's converter. I would love to see what you can do with stained clay!
Yeah I guess the non shader will have to be 1.6 now and i'll keep shader versions at 1.5.2.
*snip*
I will still make the sure the non shader CH is the best I can make it Uni
So folks do i now stop with the 1.5 release and work on 1.6 **shader version will stay with 1.5**
People still happy with 1.5........1.6 comes out next week!??
And the non-shader version is amazing too. But I want the lighting and bump maps too. D: Oh well haha, I'm used to not always getting what I want due to often not having that much money xD. (like I've been wanting a wacom cintiqu for ages ahaha, but those things are expensive xD.)
1.6 comes out next week? WOOP HORSES! lol (EDIT: so just a week before I can make the avatar I want to make as well xD. Maybe I ought to get some work in on my texturepack haha)
I would deffo say work on going to 1.6 now if it's only a week. Those books are looking good!

Well I hope some point down the line you will get to try it with all the shaders/bumps
Yeah I will have it working as a resource back shortly ready for 1.6 the horses will take ages to texture so won't be for a little while yet.
Glad you like the books, done all 3 now so onto something else.
New items are nice, I think you should work on the most obvious textures after items, such as GUI and armour
Thanks, I'm always working on more than one thing sometimes i need to switch around to keep it fresh and fun
Well i have the pack working "almost" in 1.6 now just few areas to fix..........but no CTM support as yet so will continue with 1.5.2 but can now do some of the 1.6 blocks like coal, hay etc
I cannot WAIT for the finished shader support! I will absolutely change this to my primary use pack. I'm getting back in to actually playing the game, and I want to use a good pack, and my computer can easily handle a 128x128 with shaders, so I must try this, the shaders should be great for this one!
I only have one request right now. Is there any chance you could experiment with 1:2 block Stone Bricks? I know the current ones fit your pack, and they are your style, but for my builds, I personally prefer the half-block sized stone bricks over the quarter-block sized. I also think it would look amazing in combination with your refined stone style and Shaders! If you get the chance, could you consider it? I would love it! It is really the only reason I'm not using it in my current build, because I'm making a real stronghold (because the naturally generated ones are pretty lame and full of dead-ends), and the small bricks just don't work as well.
The shaders are looking fantastic, by the way!

Beautiful texture pack Awesome work, it's truly incredible. Can't wait to see the quartz ore item, larger paintings, and custom armor :). This could quite easily be the best texture pack of all time !

Its looking pretty funky eh G with Sonic on the case We aim to bring the bet shader experience we can working together........well that's the plan
I thought about making the stone bricks bigger before, I think an alt set for those who like the larger style is probably something i will do, whos knows people may prefer them and they get voted in as the main pack bricks we shall see i guess.

Thanks so much, and thats quite a statement i'll do ma best its all i can do The first armor and the quartz ore will be in the next update

One critique I have on the shaders so far is that, on the cobblestone, I think you need more transparency on the spacing. Did you guys get into depth on normal maps yet? When I made my normal maps before, I found it equally important to add transparency, because the transparency actually made the visual effect of being recessed, which I used for things like rocks and bricks.
Like, (if you don't mind me using my Redefined pack as an example), it is too much like this (for my preference):
And I think you need more of this (recessed effect) around the rocks:
But I don't know if the transparency in normal maps is even compatible yet, and if he even got to that part yet. Because I am well aware they require two completely different heaps of code, and I know last time I tried it, that didn't work, so I don't know. If it isn't yet, then I can't wait to see it. The 3D lighting is so good that I can't tell if it is good lighting with flat recessing, or if it is really good lighting and no recessing at all...
Also, I am sure a lot of people prefer the small bricks, and most don't really care, because they still look insanely good, but Stone Brick is just one of my favourite blocks in Minecraft, and that is the style I like, so it is kind-of a big draw for me if it has that style and is well done. The two things that I look for in stone bricks that defines them for me is the style (big or small [though this doesn't have anything to do with the quality] ), and the edge realism. It is weird, but I just love it when bricks look relatively smooth, but the edges look realistic, especially fine edging, not very thick or wide, but realistic, so it seems like you could touch it. Regardless, it doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the texture in general, but I just hope you can try that out, and see how it looks, because honestly, I'm dying of curiosity now how that will look!

Well I have to be honest i haven't touched anything to do with normals its all Sonic's doing and early tests with the new SEUS build. I'm working on adjusting all the pack so it doesn't have any any highlights or deep shadows drawn into the textures they look rather flat and uninteresting on their own but they are designed to only work with the normals/specular for the special SEUS CH edition we are creating
When i'm a bit more done with the pack i'll see what i can whip up with some bigger bricks
Here's another shader/bump test i will have lots of pics to show soon but waiting on some lighting fixes in SEUS.
i love your texturepack but when are is it going to be finish like the armor ,the mobs ,the gold and other are mising textures
but i still like it and i will use it
