A rather colourful piccy folks with the new SEUS lighting sonic is working on and the glowstone glow effect........ all work in progress but i much prefer how he has softened the lighting and shadows for a pleasing look

Spider issue here, I'm using the MCpatcher, the other skins like for the creepers with multiple different textures works just fine.

And just so you know, I'm not nitpicking at you, I'd just love to show some support for an incredible deal of effort that I can see how much you've put into it.. keep up the good work, Can't wait until every texture is done, it'll be amazing!
WOW!!! I have not enjoyed a texture pack other than Sphax when I found it about a year ago... But this is one I now also love to run with.

Wow, this pack is amazing. At first, I thought it would simply be like a cross between Sphax and Gerodoku, but now, I see that it is so much more. The custom sky is amazing, but the sheep kinda scare me slightly :).

Can I ask you a question? How do you make the greyscale textures for gras_top, or leaves?
Well, you would make it in colour first get it to look right, then you desaturate the colour out of it so its black and white (greyscale) then play with the brightness/contrast to get it to match well in game

SPIDER ISSUE Copy this file into your Mob folder to stop the white error with the spiders, i have also updated the packs with this texture if you don't know how. (there's still a small issue because of how i did the spider textures) but its 98% better. Better still, install Optifine as it give all sorts of enhancements!
Been on the nether brick today folks, got rid on the pinky recoloured old/new cobble and gave it a 3 brick high rugged darker style....which can only mean i'm sorting the Nether out, quartz ore, rack etc

If you were running 100fps with no shaders i would guess your only getting 20 fps mark with shaders..........they are very power hungry in there current state.
I dont think you will get any fps improvement by changing any of the settings ingame (at least, that seemed to be my own experience...)
I think it has more to do with the amount of calculations the shader pack is making.... if you open up the shader pack and view any of the files you can see its written in a C type programming language.
I've made a copy of the shader pack and deleted 2 of the shader files in the pack and that gave a 25+ fps boost.
The only thing you / we can do is hope either seus or someone really good at math optimises the calculations the shaders are doing.
(If any one disagrees feel free to correct my mistake(s) )

I have no idea Prince, i don't even know if this build is on there as it very broken and his playing with it still, he gave it to me direct I'm on his sugar Sync also.
Been checking this out for awhile now and it looks amazing i still have not tried it out as im just letting you do your thing i will get this pack once its completed but damn those screenshots look amazing keep up the good work.

I refreshed my C knowledge a bit last night and it appears it has to do with floating point calculations.
I'm not sure if the way shaders are done in minecraft, through the shader mod & shader packages, allow for assembly code, but that would cut the time required for the same calculations almost in half and should speed up the fps people get.
Not sure how optimized the floating point calculations are in the current available versions of shaders but as Syclone said, Sonic's upcomming shader package should be more optimized and result in higher fps.
Would be nice to know IF the shader mod actually allows for assembly code then it would be worth while to dig into assembly for C to see about speeding it up more.
Syclone any chance you could ask Sonic (seeing as you have regular contact) if the shader mod allows for assembly code as well besides the C code?
Syclone, the shaders download that is linked to on your website won't work with my minecraft version. :/ Could you update it maybe? I have got a hopefully compatible version of SEUS from elsewhere now, but thought I ought to say.
EDIT: aaaand it seems the version I got from elsewhere magicloader is refusing to recognise as a mod >_< great.

I created the folder, and did everything you said. When I enter a world the gui shows but everything else is black, I get 1-2 FPS, and it gives me loads of error messages in chat. help?

Your welcome. Oh yes you need to make brightness/darkness changes to get things to flow and have consistency.
Update on the nether brick, added some mortar to the gaps and some fake shadowing, its looking better now

And as people state above, I get well over 100 fps with no shaders but drop to 20-25 with them. Fraps also locks me in at 30
