I've also swapped over all the ores to the new smoother stone texture, just the Redstone/Emerald to go as they have anims so will take a little longer to re do.

The design is nice but don't you think it's a bit to dark for iron?

I could brighten it if really needed but just google iron ore and see all the colours and how dark/light the various chunks look.... i kinda went somewhere in between. I'll do a lighter version......back in a few mins
Okay so that's a bit lighter i wouldn't want to go more it will look glowy against the stone.

It's probably just because I'm more use to seeing TPs with a light brown for iron. Regardless, I think something closer to the original color looks the best.

I feel like the iron ore texture could be improved slightly. I like the new shape better, but i feel like it looks like cocoa beans cemented into stone

I like the shape of the new iron ore, it really fits in better with the others, but I think it is too dull at the moment. If you would add some shine and glitter it would improve it a lot and give it more the look of an ore instead of some red rock or clay. I also liked the little chunks sticking out on the old texture, so if you would add these again it would be just perfect for me. ;D

I'm all for the darker iron ore, though. The one in the current pack is way too light. Also the new stone has a very noticeable grid pattern. It was present in the old stone too, but since the new one is lighter, it kind of... pops out more. But maybe it's just me.
Yeah, any detailed HD texture will show some amount of tiling, its impossible to make just one texture on its own not repeat to the human eye and when it is static in pictures you will spot patterns very easily if you study an image I accept there will be some unless vast amounts of ctm is used, its not that noticeable when in the game, theres far worse out there

No no its fine, the server does need some time spent on it and i think once i have the third update out i'll take a bit of time out (just a bit) to look at the server situation. Its not very much but the small amount from Adfly the pack has made is going into the costs and i'm putting my own money in also. A donation system would be needed but we need some grounding and something running that people can donate to to be given access to the early alpha
I've been a bit side tracked with the main pack but we need to get this ball rolling
On another note I've just had some more potential AMAZING news regarding CH and as soon as I know if its going to happen i will be straight on here to fill you all in
Can I also add a HUGE thank you to all those that have downloaded the pack through the Adfly system. I know some people frown upon or have issue with it and others take the moral high ground and make people who choose to use it look like "bad" people which i think is quite out of order.
I know first hand with the contact I've had with Adfly just how serious they take it when a malicious link/advert is used by one of their advertisers they are working hard to eliminate this as they are legitimate business and it's in their interests to run it properly/safely. Also the Adfly file tracking its fabulous and give great info into what the pack is doing and what countries far more than other systems i looked into.
In almost 50k of downloads i have had not one complaint, message, email, pm where someone has had a problem with one of my links IF you get something nasty PLEASE let me know and i will go straight to the top of the Adfly chain of command.
So again thank you for the huge support using the official links when so many sites are uploading unauthorized links, making it very difficult to keep track of who is using the pack
I may well try another download client but I tried this out first.

Also putting together forms for applications so some progress has been made as well going over what ram/storage, donations/rewards, plugins and myself generally being brought up to speed a little

ad.foc is horrible, there is another pack where using it has become an issue. If people who don't know how the system works (new users to minecraft) click on the wrong thing they get infected with malware. Also this particular pack uses a "oops there was an error click on this link" setup to double his income from the ads for each download. All in all a very distasteful issue.

Yes i've heard bad things and wouldn't go near it but with adfly i've know it a long time (used and tested it in the field) they have really grown as a business they are actively working with publishers and advertisers, and most people don't realize there are far more threats hitting there PC's on a daily basis than the odd dodgy link it throws up.
I like to try things and get some data to analyze and will prob try a few things out, i wish curse client was more advanced i expect it to improve in time though from the chats i've had with Admin on here.
