Syclone, I'm very excited for the official release. Every texture I've seen looks great, no complaints so far.
I wish I would've seen this thread earlier so I could've given feedback and got an early version of the pack, but your amazing sigs is what lead me to find your pack. Keep up the good work man!

I know what you mean by mixing packs together, my usual pack turned unto such a conglomeration of textures that it only worked out of pure chaos. XD But with the release of Chroma Hills, I don't think I'm ever going to have to spend hours fiddling with mixing together texture packs ever again!
I just thought of something on the chest: Is it possible to remove the raised latch-ish thingie on the front? I think the whole keyhole bit would look better if it's flat to the chest, rather than raised like that.
On the gold block, it gets better every time I see it! I think it has a sort of Aztec or Egyptian feel at the moment My only critique on the current one is that the diamonds look too opaque and blue to be diamonds, they remind me a little more of turquoise.
Great to hear Zig. Gold block is only a work in prog so i can make the gems look better
I do really like the chests how they are, but we will see.
I mean if you want me to be picky, the diamonds on the gold block look a little out of place or not actual diamond color. But there isn't too much that I've seen that bothers me.
I got these shaders to work with Minecraft 1.5.1, so all I need now is your pack!
Good to know as its hard to please every person with every texture......impossible really.
Just wanted to drop in and say the last additions look amazing, as always.
As for the bricks... Why not make an alternative version with 3 brick high stonebricks? I myself prefer larger stonebricks so I'm never really happy with them and tend to use different stonebrick textures from different packs to match my current build.
I will look at alt bricks, once people start playing with the release and getting a good run of the pack as is.
Syclone! I found a few things that you'll be very relieved to know about.
Firstly, Dinnerbone made an automatic 1.4-1.5 texture converter so all you have to do is create the textures in the normal layout and you can run the .zip file with the converter and it will automatically convert it! It can be found here: http://www.minecraft...rom-dinnerbone/
Btw, I LOVE the doors and the new doors and the bed is PERFECT! The paintings and stone bricks give it a really authentic medieval feel, perfect for building with. Could you send me the newest version of the pack so I can do a little testing . The building designs are going great and I'm gonna start work on a village!

Just saw the new sandstone and gold block. Love the sandstone but still not sure on the gold... I'm not sure about the diamond. I think it should have a small repeated symmetrical pattern... The new wooden door is probably my favourite texture so far. Perfect.
If you do send me the latest tp version I would like 128x non shader, thanks!

No more test versions now i'm afraid as i'm just focusing on first release now.
Hmm, after a little consideration, I really feel the bedrock could be a lot smoother. I like the darkness of it, but I feel it's just too cluttered, like the original gravel was. Just too... pebble-ey I suppose. I don't really know how to put it any better sorry :S

If you're willing, I'll be glad to take the pack early and contribute screenshots I expect you to say no but it's worth a try

Just added some more CTM to the sandstone with more carved blocks, cracks etc.
Also i'm roughing out my Quartz blocks .............yes that just may mean something.

I'm looking at what i need to do to update to 1.5 and also i need to speak to my web guy and see where we are with the website progress. Moving house and having Easter break here in the UK has slowed things down so i will know more about where we are with things i hope in the next few days
Just put up a quick walk about vid for the sandstone progress guys on the CH channel.
Hmmm... Great sandstone! Gives those villages a nice desert feel. The wooden door and torch re-textures look awesome.
I don't know about the sand though. My personal preference, but it is a little too cartoonish. Reminds me of sphax too much, and it needs to blend a little more with the sandstone. Maybe try getting rid of the wavy lines?

These are some great looking clouds so far. But I would prefer if you don´t make them too realistic, even if you might find that difficult to accomplish. ^^

SKY! I literally SQUEALED when I saw that SKY! I LOOOVE it! Best I've seen! It almost reminds me of some beautiful anime fantasy landscape, and that's right up my alley. I can't wait to see the night sky! I'm going to start having to make skylights in my buildings now. XD It'll be cool to see what you come up with for the moving clouds.
Sidenote: Anybody else see the swan-cloud towards the top left? It's pretty ^.^

That´s definitely the right direction to go. Reminds me one more time of "Dishonored", which fits just perfect so keep it up! The shredded clouds give it a nice ambient touch. And I also like the double moons, though I don´t think they should be visible the whole day so maybe let them only appear at dusk or dawn.
Thanks ,yes i'm happy the way it's starting to look now, been looking at lots of Disney/ anime I will prob just make 1 layer for now then look at breaking it up later to give fades etc. Getting some pink into the clouds really helped with the style.

Hehe glad you like Zig, I was quite into anime when i was younger and i dug out some dvd's to look at as well as some of the Disney ones
I'm still learning custom skies so moving stuff will come later, i will start playing with the night sky soon ish and have some ideas.

Best skybox I've seen yet. How long did it take you if you don't mind me asking? I spent ages on my skyboxes with nothing to show for it...
I'm gonna have to look at it closely when you release the pack. It will make mighty fine inspiration! (which I sorely need at the moment)
Oh and btw, it's worth making the moons another skybox layer because then you can make them appear at different times during the day or even have them move across the sky. Could make them fit in a bit better! (they don't look too out of place at the moment but just having them sit there freaks me out)]
One more thing - the crosshair in-game is a little bulky, could do with some slimming/downsizing.

Thanks sheep i know you were really waiting to see me start on the sky box and looks like i'm doing okay Well I've put around 7 hours in something like that, to where it is at the moment. I will look at layers when i get more of a hang of how the sky properties work, looked at a few packs with multi layers. Cross hair was a quick thing to get rid of Sphax i can have a play
Texturing on hold guys as i'm working on text for the website now, FAQ section on the go a the moment. Baz is building the look for the CH forum then will be putting my FAQ text into a page...........so its coming along
Oh we have a really funky galley effect to show of the blocks,items etc. Can't wait to show you, baz is a whizz with coding websites!
