Re the French text, give it a shot if you have the time and it post it up on here
Ok, I'm assuming that this was posted by a French user. It says it was posted by a user called oskawa, which I'm assuming is not you, Syclone, so I'm translating the existing French to English.
Here's a fairly direct translation:
“RPG with a Cartoon Twist”, is what one can read on the official logo of a certain little texture pack; indeed, a certain suspense surrounds it. But why should I tell you? Quite simply because it comes in several resolutions, and it is made to be compatible with the SEUS mod.
The SEUS mod, as you know because you love this site and that you have read earlier about the "test" of this mod allows you to add beauty to Minecraft. Unfortunately, few packs let you enjoy these graphical improvements: plants do not move, or texture bugs appear.
But Chroma Hills is made for him who wants these improvements*, in a style very close to basic Minecraft. Sitting on a x128 texture pack which already exists, it will change all of the blocks to disorient you, but not too much. And it will allow you to enjoy the spectacle of the wind on the freshly grown wheat.
Unfortunately for us, he is still "building", and it will come probably in 1.5.
But to end on a note a little more joyful, it will be available in x128, x64 and x32. And for each resolution, two downloads are assigned: with or without the "Shaders" (shadows).
Wait wisely** as you did as a kid on Christmas night: put the fire in the fireplace and wait until the Santa Claus arrives by the same chimney. And the day that happens, you will be very happy.
Here is a "better" translation. For this one, I convert some French mannerisms to English to make the whole thing sound more fluent.
“RPG with a Cartoon Twist”, is what the official logo of a certain little texture pack says. Indeed, there is a certain excitement*** about it. But why should I tell you about it? Quite simply because it comes in several resolutions, and it is made to be compatible with the SEUS mod.

Built up from a 128x texture pack which already exists, it changes all of the blocks, which is disorienting, but not too much. And it will allow you to enjoy the spectacle of the wind on the freshly grown wheat.
Unfortunately for us, he is still working on it, and it will probably come out in 1.5.
But to end on a happier note, it will be available in 128x, 64x and 32x. And for each resolution, two downloads are available: with or without the "Shaders" (shadows).
Wait patiently** like you did as a kid on Christmas night: put the fire in the fireplace and wait until Santa Claus comes through the chimney. And the day when that happens, you will be very happy.
Translation Notes:
*The original text uses the word "lui" in place of my "him who wants these improvements." Lui is an indirect pronoun; it has no gender or default connotation. So it would be talking about a person of the qualities previously described. Thus my choice of words for the translation.
Nitpick for any French speakers:
Yes yes, I KNOW everything has a gender in French. Even "it" is masculine. However, I'm trying to keep this simple and understandable to someone with no experience in French.
**The original text uses the word "sagement," in place of my "wisely." "Wisely" is the best direct translation of the word, but the writer is not using it in that way. I'm generally unfamiliar with common usage of that word, but my best guess for the phrase is basically to wait with excitement, patience, and expectation. I wasn't sure who to best convey that in the translation.
***Excitement is an extremely loose translation of the word "attente." Most commonly, this would mean "waiting," but that doesn't make any sense here. Rarely, it is used to mean "suspense," so given the subject, I exercised some creative liberty to try and make the phrase clearer.
Finally, I suspect that the writer is not highly proficient in grammar. It's always bad to start sentences with "and," no matter what language you're in, and he did this quite a bit. This makes it a little choppy, but I did not fix it because, in my opinion, doing so would no longer convey the thoughts associated with the original text. Plus, I'm here to translate. Not grade papers.
Texture pack looks absolutely thrilling, as I thought it would. 128x does lag a bit on my laptop, but then again, I have a near-four-year-old laptop, so it's pretty weathered as is. Awesome work, Syclone! I'll be reserving my comments about how truly amazing it is until the first public release. Keep texturing!

I hope that's good enough for you, Syclone! =)
Thank you Sam, that's very good of you for taking the time!

Ah you got it going and thanks very much I look forward to reading about it on your Blog
I really want this pack, I've never been so impatience for a thing like this. But it's because your texture pack sure did caught my attention. Especially the GUI's, man they're like the best ones I've ever seen! So any idea when you'll be releasing this, I'm guessing pretty soon, please say soon.
Goodness, is there an ETA on the servers? I need a really good server to build on ! I'd like to emphasise how much I want to be an admin! It would be perfect and I would be dedicated to making it successful.
I'm lovin' it! My favourite texture is the top of the grass block SO smoootthhhhh! I like the log textures and all the wooden things as well!
Servers will come later Sharky must focus on the pack and the website is really coming together now!
will you be keeping the leaves from sphax?
if you do decide to change them please keep them bright and nice
always prefer bright and happy texture packs to apocolapse themed ones

Hi, there wont be any Sphax in Chroma Hills at all its all being replaced and was only being used as a base 128x pack to get started with
I've still not done all the leaves but they will be suitably bright and fitting to the art style.
I'd personally prefer a little more transparency. Leaves are always in groups anyways, so you could see through them & spot the darker leaves from the blocks behind.
Oh i agree, I did those some months back and wasn't happy but they got rid of the Sphax ones. I need to sit and get all the leaves done I have put them off for a while. Its not my strongest area actually but i will get some done
Mahhn; I hate to have to point this out now, but it's really bugging me...
Them spruce logs have a bit of a tiling problem that I noticed almost-instantly: A dark-spot towards the bottom-left that's just a little too exaggerated, ruining the tiling a bit for me.
The textures themselves, though, look fantastic!
Superb work, as always. Really, really looking forward for the release of this gem !
Yes i see it, amazing when you look at stuff for so long you miss things but easy fix needs a little lighting up.
More importantly how are the leaves as that's the new bit?
I'm loving random CTM i can see a lot of variation coming later!
wow looks great
nice can you give us a picture of all the blocks and items in a post?
then we can see what your up to and what you haven't finished
loving the look of things so far

Great to hear
Posting all blocks would take some time and I'm really focusing on getting the pack ready for its work in progress release. I will do a change log soon
Guys, he can't release it until it's suitably done. As it is, there's a number of significant items that haven't been done, such as some tools, armor, etc. If he releases it now, you will all just complain and say oh why isn't this done, why isn't that done, etc. Just be patient. It won't be long now. The more you bug him with "Release Now!" stuff, the more of his time you are a-wastin.
To Syclone, I agree with you on those spruce leaves. They certainly fit when you look at a large scale forest. The detail that shows from a significant distance away is great, they avoid most of the grainy problems associated with these high res textures. Quite skillfully done I would say.
You could simply take a screeny within Kab's texture pack test-track (which I already know you use); behind the spawn there is a place set-up to showcase (nearly) all blocks in the game.
I think there is/was an area for items (within item frames) but it might have been removed now that I think about it...
...Can you release this now please?
The wait is killing me! :C
Yep thats the simplest way! have done
can you run 128x packs ok? or will you waiting on the lower res packs?

Thanks Alex it's okay i'm pretty much there to release a work in progress things like armour and mobs will come in a later release, most items will be done, but its a work in progress release so there will still be much to do. I hope people will then get to try it out and wait for an update to add new content rather than pulling the pack apart and using other peoples packs to fill parts i haven't done yet. I really want people to enjoy the world of Chroma Hills as its intended.
Well tonight has been most amusing myself and Moozipan having been testing out some server time in CH and all worked superbly. First server i've ever got running but thanks the wiki had it running great!
I must remember to BAN Moo from using TNT, ANVILS and anything else he tried to use against me hahahah
The words " can we blow it up now" were rather tooooo frequent LOL
Great fun, and we also did a lot of inspecting textures to see what needs a tweak here and there..... there wasn't much
Lastly got my new torch anim in the game and its much nicer than the last with 3 times the frames......i think Moo will agree a big improvement
Finally a huge thanks to Baz the man as he is doing an awesome job on the website coding, i hope you like it guys i've tried to make it really compliment the pack in art style You will see it soon.

Ok, heres what i've been working on for the spruce tonight not totally finished it needs tidying up and i think it needs some more holes/transparency.
Feedback guys?
EDIT the more i run around in game the more I'm liking the style it fits with the bark and i quite like how it works across large forests (pic added)
I'm really liking the non shader version at the mo just missing puffy clouds and other details with a sky box, and i'm redoing the sun.
Yes i see it, amazing when you look at stuff for so long you miss things but easy fix needs a little lighting up.

Ahh great, foliage is not my strongest area so it takes me longer to keep working at it.
One for the CH shader fans remember folks these are custom tweaked to compliment the pack not standard shaders.
