This is the best texture pack i have seen in ages, quite often i see people releasing texture packs that are similar to other designs, it got to the point that i didnt think people could do much better and then i saw this, this is unbelievably great work, if i had to compare it to something i would say misa's-summerfields-sphax and all 3 are my favourites - you just topped the lot. Would you ever consider doing a 64x version of the pack- i can run 128x but after a while my laptop starts to burn up.
Hi, thanks very much. Those packs are some big names indeed and it's great to hear such a positive comment
The pack will be made for 64x also but i making it first in 128x.
I think 64x is in the works next judging by the thread title That's probably what I'll be waiting for as well, although my new machine should be able to run 128x with shaders... hmmm...
The GUI's are gorgeous! I agree with Justproud2b, too, it's nice to feel like you're actually using the block you're using.
Thanks! The aim was exactly as you said to feel like you are using the block not a menu. I have more scope to show this using a hi-res pack and it continues the flow of the actual look of the world. Well that was the plan
Having just read through all 23 pages of this thread, I'm happy to say that you have one of the best texture packs I've ever seen. I'm being serious too - normally, I would never go for a realistic pack but this one is well worth it. +1, and I think it'll be worth following this thread for updates c:
Firstly WELL done for going through all pages in one go! Secondly thank you very much indeed i'm finding more and more people that wouldn't touch HD packs usually are saying they would use this which is amazing to hear. Glad to have you follow the progress too
Right guys i have a bunch of pics to show for the Enchantment table and the Enchantment GUI. Let me know what you think?
We have the book of "Do It Yourself Enchantment"
Written by.....
Book open, in detail.
Enhanced UI
The Enchantment in action (its not perfect but it's so limited what you can do) The writing is not on the book but hovering above it all magically like and stuff....blah blah
You could use the left-most as the rocket, and the rockets on the right (without the arrow bottom piece) as the "firework star". The rockets without the arrow makes more sense than a "firework star" anyway.

Fare well everyone! My time to retire has come! "And with that, POW! I'm gone." ---Lord Crump
G, do you mean just have the stripey parts as the charge item, then when you a make a firework the the 2 parts come together to make the whole rocket? Will this have to be CTM? What will i have when you just use paper and gunpowder? the one on the left? then the one on the right with charge? Don't they use the same item icon? LOL sorry i'm confused but sounds cool
There are two items in the fireworks industry. There is the "Firework Rocket", and to make one, you need the "Firework Star". I think it would make sense for the striped red rockets themselves to be the firework star texture, and then the launch-ready firework rocket texture could be the striped red rockets on the arrow.
The far right rocket is my favorite. The arrows look cool, but they make me want to think that an arrow is required in the crafting recipe. For the firework star, I like the idea of the unmounted striped rocket. I don't think it would need CTM, my best guess is that it works like a spawn egg, where one part is a stationary color and the stripes would be another image that gets colored by the game and overlaid onto the first bit. Potions work that way as well, I think. The glass part is separate from the liquid, and the liquid texture is done in grayscale, but colored by the game.

Shiny!->
I was gonna make a cool signature pic...But then I got bored and discovered Dragon Cave.
Right, firstly G i hate you for suggesting using the coloured rocket parts as a Firework Star.
a. Because its a cool idea and would work well.
b. Because it meant i had re draw the rockets from scratch in 3x the detail as they needed to be scaled quite a bit bigger as their own item.
Zigadooz, secondly i hate you (in the nicest possible way the both of you) also because
a. The idea of using over lays was a wicked idea if I could make it work and look good.
b. Because it meant even more work on top of the work that G's idea meant i had to do.
Oh well challenge accepted..........and completed.
Do we like? and please tell me this is what you meant!
Yes, perfect! That is exactly what I meant. As always though, I couldn't picture it that great, even when I suggested it.
Now you killed two birds with one stone, so the firework star is done as well. And that does make a lot more sense than firework stars.
Wooooo thanks you 'orrible pair Glad I interpreted correctly what you meant and that the result was worth it!
I'm struggling to find motivation to get back on the terrain file after a long break from it........can someone suggest something they would like to see done next terrain wise to give me a little push??
I just looked at the last few pages that I missed and have to say that you made some really great progress. Especially with the new GUIs you´ve made, which fit in just perfect with the terrain textures. The only thing I could criticize are the arrows in the furnace and crafting table GUI, because I don´t feel like they serve any purpose and are therefore rather misleading.
As for your question, I´d like to see your idea for the monster spawner.
Good to see you back
Good to hear mostly all positive for the new updates. I was going to number the arrows but they do follow a sequence from using your inventory to getting the end result..... might not be for all but I like 'em and the way they put more of a visual into the UI's
Right, been playing with a Monster/mob spawner..........dam pigs everywhere. Still keeping it caged themed.
Its actually quite green but you don't see that in the cave lighting, so attached 2 images.
I'm not entirely sure this idea would fit with the pack, but what if the mob spawner was some sort of old, sealed evil. The seal could have degraded with time, breaking open to let loose it's demons
On the terrain file, have you done flowers, mushrooms or saplings yet? They're fun for CTM possibilities, and I find them more entertaining than blocks.
EDIT: Just remembered there are adorable flowers in the OP already lol.

Not a bad idea as you say it may be a little off theme. I've added a bit more detail to the block but you can still see inside.
I Haven't done anything mushroom related actually. Two saplings are done, pics somewhere a few pages back
Tackled the colour dye items tonight. Really was racking my brain to come up with something then had an idea of an old tie money pouch with powdered dye in them.
I like it, it's unique after seeing dyes on papers and in piles for so long.
Edit: I just noticed something, is there a slight reverse S-curve in the trail of powder from the bag to the little pile? It's not easy to notice at first glance, but upon a second look it makes the trail look more like a string. Maybe a dustier look (like little particles?) could replace the trail, that would reinforce the pouch full of powder idea.

Thanks, yes trying to find something original is quite the task, although i haven't seen a ton of packs but it doesn't seem common?
Hmm theres is a slight curve its quite a task to change that small area then match it to all the new colours......it's going to have stay for now. An adjustment for later on Maybe the dye is slightly tacky, not pure powder
Thank you, as i said above originality is hard with so many packs out there
Okay have an update.
I've done the Brewing stand, and all the glass bottles. From left to right Empty, Water, Splash, Enchanted. Very annoying because of the cut outs for the magic overlay that i can't put lots of nice highlights on the bottles, i got round this in part by covering a good part of the glass and simple cartoonyish blob highlight! What do we think?
The dyes are great, and look like some sort of wizardy magic dust or something in that gold-laced pouch.
The bottles look really good... But I notice a perspective issue on the left-most brace. Based on the location of the right-most brace, and the fact that there are three, for them to look evenly spaced, you should be able to see the inside of the left brace a bit more so than the outside of the right brace... I may just be picky, I spend my days at school explaining to people how to make things look 3 dimensional. Grade 9 and people still draw every single side in an attempt to make it 3D.
Everything about the wolf is amazing, except... He looks kind of cross-eyed. Maybe you could centre the eyes a bit? Maybe even off-set them towards it's nose?
The rest is looking great though.
I know what you mean about mobs getting washed out with shaders. I made a skeleton (a texture that I always put off) for my definitance pack, and it looked great, but when I tried it in-game, the shaders made him look bucket-filled white. That's one of the reasons I'm going to have two separate versions of my pack with one for the shaders.
On that note, do you have any idea what we will do for the terrain_nh, terrain_s, water, and such with the shaders with the new format?
Hi, thanks very much. Those packs are some big names indeed and it's great to hear such a positive comment

128x and 64x will both be available

Was meant to be having a break but felt like doing something so did some fireworks but which one to use??

Retired StaffAs for the Fireworks, I personally like the third one better. However, keep them all for alternatives, of course

I have my faithful friend WIP skin on the go at the moment. This is where i'm up to.
Tamed him ages ago and and i thought it was about time he got his new look
Looks too washed out with shaders ( will adjust all skins for shaders) so non shader pics.
