Hi! Just wanted to say that I LOVE ChromaHills and have been using it for months now. Today I decided to get MCPatcher in case I wanted to get some mods. I also downloaded and installed your latest version of CH. I'm running 1.8.6. What I noticed is that some of the block textures are overwritten by what I guess is vanilla (been that long since I was vanilla lol). I start to break the block with my pick and for a second I see the good old CH texture under it. I figure I don't have something set right with MCPatcher, not sure. I did make sure it was set to my version of MC and patched it and did not choose any extra settings. Any clue on this? I really love the way blocks look in your pack and I want them back. Other stuff looks fine. Thanks for any help in advance! <3
That might be MCPatcher issue. I run 128x version without patcher and I'm totally fine. I suggest you *unpatch* your Minecraft. Also since MCForge isn't updated to 1.8.6 yet, you shouldn't have any troubles with that. Alternatively you could try to install Optifine. (but still unpatch mc). If you decide to go with Optifine, be sure to get the OF patch from CH website

say what? you use MCPatcher in case you wanted to get some mods? what do you mean by that? I am not sure what you are talking about.. sorry for this post.
Are you thinking about doing mod support or sticking to basic? I love using your textures and sometimes I recolor your textures for other mods. Very poorly but It helps things blend in.
Here's my recolor for Minecraft Comes Alive ver 5 - Rose Gold

What do you mean by shaders?
If you mean the mod itself, you can find it here. Just follow the instructions given on the page. Latest version for the Shaders Mod is for 1.8. 1.8.6 version is delayed due to Forge being updated.
If you mean the shader packs, recommended one (Sonic Ether's Shaders) can be found here. Put the downloaded pack to a folder called shaderpacks, which is created by the karyonix's mod.
Now select your downloaded shader pack from ingame options and Chroma Hills pack from resource pack selection.
Chroma Hills resource pack is natively compatible with shaders and is the recommended pack for Sonic Ether's shader pack.
Hey Syc, been a while. I just scrolled through the last few pages and saw some of the newer textures, and like always, they look fantastic. Glad to see how much this texture pack has taken off in the last few months. I'm sure it rivals some classic packs like Dokucraft, John Smith, and Sphax is downloads/views. I've recently started playing MC again so I may be a bit more active on the thread like I used to, but I can't be certain. Anyways, I hope life is treating you well and best of luck in all your future endeavors.
Hey Def, long time no see Well as always thank for the kind words man its been harder to work on the pack as much as i used to as lot of projects have come about from getting Chroma Hills out there but its all good, next update has quite a lot of new content coming up

Hey, that's awesome to hear pleased you are enjoying my work so much
Looks like people are helping you with your questions on MCpatcher so hope all is good now
There are still some little things that remains to be retextured (they're small things so they're easy to miss, that's why I'm posting this, hope it helps ):
- Villager zombies/"minivillagerzombies".
- Some menus like the Anvil' one.
- The inverted daylight sensor.
Cheers!
Ah I know every texture i have still yet to do so don't worry, i know there's still quite a lot still to do
Question, is there a fix for the moon? all it ever is, is full...
I havent drawn all the moon phases yet i'm afraid, so just delete my ones in the pack and they will show default OR swap in a moon image from something else for your personal pack use
Been getting the latest update ready for release guys, will be quite a good update i think I've got all the base horse variations done so we have, brown, white, dark brown, chestnut, black and gray done. Still no markings yet and i wont have the mule/donkey done for this release. Also have new stone style more fitting to the artwork and new cobble variations.

I see, well if you need a reference point I found that the moon in the pack called DurzoCraft is a good start for the moon phases although it's not 128x. I would use it over the one you have but it also changes other things over yours which I don't like... umm... can someone explain a step by step on how to do what you said to do in the reply? pm me or just post it here... thanks... BTW I didn't like this pack when I 1st used it but now it grew on me and I love it now, THANKS!
saw update comment about phases...
actually 1 more question just to clear this up in case anyone else asks... with v.12 coming out, will we still need the optifine leaf fix file or is it going to be integrated?

Well first, you must tell me your computer specifications.
The problem might be your PC being not powerful enough to run shaders,
You can also try with the 64x version of CH or look for some less demanding shader packs online, or if you didn't already, download the lite version of SEUS.

You say it's new? Could it be Intel's Compute Stick or similar?
If so, DO NOT run shaders on it! You'll fry the thing.
As your said specifications, they don't help much. I need to know your CPU and GPU.
If you don't know them, you could provide me a link where you bought it from.
I don't suggest running shaders on that PC. It has a tiny bit too little memory and a tiny bit too weak graphics card. You should be able to run CH 12x just fine.
I was worried about frying your computer because it quite accurately described this product. And that thing does not have adequate cooling to even run Minecraft vanilla.
But with your computer you can try to run shaders, if that tiny lag doesn't bother you. And could you tell me what's your screen's resolution?
Also, just a note, this computer costs ridiculously much for it's specifications. I can't figure out why they are asking so much for it.
