Holy cow, your pack is beautiful! I can't wait for it to come out! I think my favorite parts are the stone and ores. The record player reminds me a bit of Misa's, but it's different enough to be unique
On a side note, the shaders you're using are pretty too. I can't remember which ones I had been using, but mine weren't nearly as soft looking.
Hi, thanks very much Glad you like it.
Yes i've played with shaders quite a lot, and come up with my own hybrid versions that i feel compliment the pack.
That axe looks nice. I feel like it needs something right where the handle meet the axe head. A medallion, jewel, something, hard to say.
Thanks, I tried do many different things with the handle but i'm ok with it now, i wouldnt want to add another jewel i thought i might of overdone it already, but it looks balanced.
New items as promised, cant wait till they give you the option to turn off rotating items it ruins items that are drawn to look 3d! Had to turn fancy graphics setting off which has lost the side grass.

Well, we all couldn't have seen you coming.
The buckets do look amazing though, the axe has looked good every angle so far, but I can't say I'm that sure of the colour and pattern on the cooked meat. I find that it looks better if it has a bit more red, and those grill lines seem to flow right over any holes or anything that wouldn't be directly touching the bars. I notice a lot of packs do that, including some really good ones, and I don't know why. I think that's all I can give for critique on those.
I like the rough texture you gave the buckets too. I know a lot of people would leave that grey and move on, but those slight defect areas in the light reflection really make a difference!

Fare well everyone! My time to retire has come! "And with that, POW! I'm gone." ---Lord Crump
Hehe, glad I finished my items WELL before they added in the 3D rotation... Made taking pics a breeze!
Oh and for feedback, the lava bit on your lava bucket looks like it's behind the bucket, not actually in it. Looks like it's a portal or something.. Dunno if that's just me although I do sound a little crazy saying this.
Thanks G, i googled some images of cooked chops, its only on the top not the sides, i'll put up a zoomed in shot.
Aww dont say that Mr sheep they took ages! lol Here's a zoomed in shot, click for detail. I have sharpened the lava since but i can't see how its behind, its a layer elipse with a texture on like the others They aren't prefect i could tidy some of the metal texture but i think they will do.
Can't complain about any of the items, coming along great!
Great stuff, good to hear
Testers, can i ask if you have found any/more issues to let me know so i can add them to the fix list please.
For those following the thread and who don't poke their head in the Texture artists Union thread, i'm still very much working on the pack.
I have some GUI to show you guys, and working on the next one now. I want them all done for the release. The Idea is to make them like they are materials from the game and not too heavy so open space and with a hint of RPG in style but a twist of cartoon like the pack. Well that's the plan

I am so absolutely in love with that GUI so much that I couldn't bare to snip it out of the quote!
Yea, I really love it too, especially the 3d crafting table. Makes me want to go craft stuff!
Also, just out of curiousity, do you think you'll be adding some more advanced shader stuff in the future such as reflective surfaces and bump-mapping?
I'm thinking that this is going to be the only pack I'm going to be using with shaders from now on. As much as I love ovo's pack, the guys continuing it just don't have the same style or the same skill that he did and it's really noticeable which textures were made after he stopped working on it...

Same with Dokucraft, and many other continuations. They just don't have the same abilities as the original texturers.
And can we get an estimation on when this will be released? I want it NOW, even though I can barely run packs over 64x.

Wow thats awesome to hear as there is a lot of good packs out there. Yes bumps/specular etc is on the cards, i'm very much enjoying CornerG's progression as i will be picking his brains when i'm ready and his doing great with it. Also with Tekkit and FTB on the list it's a long road ahead!
Oh and if crafting UI wants to make you craft stuff, the new one just has me keep cooking stuff!

I do agree, you can tell when other artist of different abilities work on projects. When i used to work in dev teams we REALLY had to look closely at each others work and make adjustments to make sure style was consistent.
64x will be available i hope it doesn't loose too much will do my best. Well I'm hoping I can release Jan/Feb. I'm aiming for everything except mobs, maybe one or 2 to show the style.
Hmm while the crafting table GUI is AMAZING, easily the most creative one I have ever seen, the furnace one looks a little more confusing. I'm sure in-game it would be easier because the slots would be highlighted when you move an item over it. But it seems somewhat cluttered at the moment. Could be just me though
Anyway, this pack is coming along superbly. Sorry for the little input as of late, have been much busier than I would have liked

Cheers Alex, hear what you are saying but what you said is right. If you follow the arrows, you immediately see a highlighted box in 3 key areas, its a little busier but I'm confident that players will have no issues. I'm cooking on it right now and its quite satisfying
I really like the new stove ui as well. You've been able achieve what I always thought was missing in the gui's which is to actually feel like you are using the item that it represents.

I'm up to 58 pork chops and 46 Chickens LOL
Well that's good to hear then, because that was the only concern I had for it. Otherwise, it looks amazing

Hmm yeah GUI for obvious reasons had a very simple/retro feel. The way i see it if you are working in a higher res, then you have to put in that extra effort to keep with the flow and style of the whole pack. Its seriously adds to the work load though!
This is the best texture pack i have seen in ages, quite often i see people releasing texture packs that are similar to other designs, it got to the point that i didnt think people could do much better and then i saw this, this is unbelievably great work, if i had to compare it to something i would say misa's-summerfields-sphax and all 3 are my favourites - you just topped the lot. Would you ever consider doing a 64x version of the pack- i can run 128x but after a while my laptop starts to burn up.
I think 64x is in the works next judging by the thread title That's probably what I'll be waiting for as well, although my new machine should be able to run 128x with shaders... hmmm...
The GUI's are gorgeous! I agree with Justproud2b, too, it's nice to feel like you're actually using the block you're using.

I was gonna make a cool signature pic...But then I got bored and discovered Dragon Cave.

I'll get round to these new textures in the snapshot soon, been getting on with items for a while, as i want those done for the release.
We now have all buckets, egg, pork chop cooked and raw done, so i'll put up some updates later

Got the Item arrow, and firing arrow textures done I quite like 'em after seeing the very plain/wide Sphax ones for so long

Ha, it must be a doozy not to get a snip......hope the new one is as much to your liking

I'll will get the GUI's over in the testers latest updates so COOK, CRAFT away see how you get on.
I've got some ideas for the Enchantment UI so I'll be starting that one later on

Good think 64x is coming first, because that's the highest resolution my computer can handle. (It can handle 128x too, but it is slower to load)
