I could be very wrong, but wasn't there at one time a chroma hills texture pack for Industrial craft 2? I'm talking like 1.4 times. If not, can anyone suggest a texture pack for IC 2.X that might look good with Chroma hills?
EDIT: I was mistaken it was an old Misa style texture pack that included IC2 textures. Still, I could see some really cool things going on with the modern look of machines with this resource pack.
And with those amazing doors I sit here in the corner and start crying, because 1.8 doesn't work on my PC and I'll never got to use them. Don't mind me please, I'll try to be quiet with my sniffling.
The 1.8 update is not some new technology that will somehow refuse to work on your hardware. If you can't run it, you're doing something wrong. If updating your Java doesn't work, explain the problem in the support section of the forums. I'm sure there is a solution.

I have been using Chroma Hills on and off since I first started using texture packs, quite some months ago. So far I haven't found a texture pack I love better than this one. I'm so exited my favorite texture pack is still on going in updates, and using the 3D models.
I just wanted to extend my thanks to you, Syclone, for giving us an amazing texture pack to spruce up our game.

I am KhatKat, you can call me Leopardess, Leo, or KhatKat. Above is Dylan, my fursona.
Will it be very surprising when I say that those door are beautiful? I saw spruce and thought there can't be any better door than that, but then I saw dark oak I'm scared what we might see next. I actually kept waiting for that one texture I might not be fully amazed with, but I guess I can give up right about now, obviously it's not going to happen, I'll be just more and more charmed with every new texture, nothing to complain about, my life ends here XD

Great to hear but i'm confused that you cant run 1.8 its no different in performance to 1.7 if anything the update is meant to improve performance. it really should run no problem at all.
Thanks, they take a fair bit more work with the textures as well as the modeling, texturing mapping process but they are pretty cool. I'm being careful also to keep them fitting the style but adding to the depth detail.

Always great to hear, very pleased you enjoy my work and I'm getting into the models more now
My PC didn't technically meet the minimum system requirements before and now they have been upped even more so honestly I personally am not surprised I can't play 1.8, I am surprised 1.7 works so great But my case aside, there's a lot of people who have weird problems with 1.8 and not just those with crappy old machines but also new gaming rigs, so apparently something with that optimisation didn't go quite as well as planned. Either way, my CPU is too ancient for this game already, there's no denying that, no shiny new doors and fences for me, I'm staying on 1.7.
On a more cheerful note: Great new door as always
Hmm thats really odd but for some reason on your PC it is was it is. Sorry hear your troubles.
Okay folks had some real life stuff taking up my time so i need to get the last 2 doors done, birch and acacia then i will put the 1.8 update out hopefully in the next few days
Gladly it has windows.
Thank you for being one of the few who uses the new models options properly, all your doors are awesome!
Thanks Well you do have to be careful with the use of models so they compliment the existing look not try and make it something it isn't. It's also more tricky to have low detail 3D models with higher res textures so you got to think about how they work/look.
Okay guys I just re uploaded the 1.7 128x/64x packs and fixed them so the HD font works WITHOUT using Mcpatcher or optifine

Specs:
Intel Core i5-4590
R9 280x
But this happens...never goes over 25 FPS.
I have up to date drivers. Don't know why it's happening. My laptop with GT 635m ran it better =/

Curse PremiumYeah, I'm using the most recent version of Optifine for 1.7.10. Shaders are 1.7.10 too.

My render distance always stays at 12. I find it hard to believe that my system can't handle shaders.

Curse PremiumMaybe try a different shader pack like chaopics shaders and see if they perform better. Might just be an optimisation issue or a bug with the mod.
It is strange. I think its some optimization thing or setting I may have out of wack. I think I'll wait until SEUS is released for 1.8.

Yeah odd from the convo you and sheep are having i would also say you should be seeing higher FPS also, something doesnt seem right there Def.
Okay got the jungle door model done. I think this will be a nice alternative for the more run down builds/shacks and even down in the mines.
I'm a little behind with my 1.8 release, i have 2 more doors to go before I release it but i'm getting there
