It works now, and everything looks excellent! Though my pack needs to be toned down a lot for use with that. My pack is almost pure white with it.
How did you make your water compatible with the water shaders, though? I looked through your pack and can't find a file relating to the water, but my pack only gets ugly vanilla water. Is there something my pack needs?
Never mind. I figured it out. Simple terrain.png water image colour thing.
For your pack though, I'd have to agree that Endstone would be an interesting block to see.
Wooo you won't look back now you can run them.......well when Optifine has as much as MC patcher when it comes to CTM
Copy my Environment files into your pack to solve the white issue.
Those are truly some of the most fantastic end portal slot that I've ever had the pleasure to lay my eyes upon. Their simplicity and smooth lines along with superb color choice combine to make them possibly the highest quality work I've ever seen.
JK- I know that they're just templates.
But seriously, this pack really is looking amazing. When you release it to the general public (on the "texture packs" page) I wouldn't be surprised if it's a hot topic with 500 downloads before the page has even loaded after you post it. (And depending on your internet speed that could be quite impressive...) Anyway, this pack gets my vote for #1 in the 128x category. As I mentioned before, the blend of cartooniness and reallisticness is really masterful. I don't have a problem with the non-pixeliness of higher resolution packs- I just think that they usually look weird (and a bit distasteful in my opinion) when it's a picture that looks like it was pasted onto a cube. You've somehow managed to make an HD pack that isn't completely cartoony (such as Sphax or Dragon Dance- both good packs- (Please don't smite me Steelfeathers, please, please!) where the textures look... in-place.
Keep it up, and I might post later with some ideas for endstone- unless you've gotten to it too quickly, or I don't actually have any.
Thanks, I know a lot of people don't like HD packs but I thought from the start if it's done with a style and not to real looking it would be something that a wider audience would appreciate. Well actually at the very start i just couldn't find a pack that was like a detailed Sphax for myself and thought I'll give it a go We will just have to see if it appeals to the masses but its coming together
64x64 is coming soon, and with two available resolutions, it should be extremely popular when it's fully released.
It will get a down scale to 64x when the terrain is complete hopefully it wont need too much working on we shall see!
OKAY, i'm playing with this end portal for bloomin hours and i think i've got something but i kinda just keep doing what ever comes in to my head without to much forward planning.

Umm this is what I've got done, fire away guys.
Okay, the shaders work now, and I finally have no problems with it to whine about anymore.
Back to the topic of your pack, that portal frame has some unexplainable feel... What the End really should be. It is kind-of like a fancy, unearthly architecture. The eye is really nice, and the yellow seems more suited than the default black and navy blue. And that fine detailing is a nice addition.
... I'm getting into that "no criticism" streak again. I suppose I should critique on something, but after a good 5 minutes of gazing at it, I can't come up with anything. I wonder where Moo has been. I'm sure he could find something.
Edit: Holy Sh-- Cow! I just noticed the dragon head design on the sides! That is truly amazing. and also suits the End feel. In reference to the Ender Dragon.

Woah.... i take it from that in depth review you like it G I did go with a loose idea of it must has a dragony feel but wasn't sure it was working or just gone off on a bit of a mad creative splurge.
It has some shading/light source issues at the mo and still think it needs something on the side maybe and i'm not sure what to do for the actual end stone but I've got something for now.

I definitely do like it, and I find that the end related blocks are always an interesting part of texture packs. With end related blocks, it is a completely fictional and not very well explained dimension, so they can be pretty much anything. The creativity can go a long ways in the End.
Now that you point it out, I do notice a slight lighting error or two... Though they seem to fit in, so I would have to search for them every time I need to point it out.
For something on the side... Perhaps you could make something relating to the block's producing the portal itself? Like a slot on the side that the actual portal could appear through? You would need to test that to get it at the right height though.
I love the portal itself, for reasons corner_G has gone into explained in depth, although the endstone beneath it seems to be a bit lacking in creativity and contrast. I don't know if it's WIP or not, but it seems a little bland and somewhat close to the default in terms of color. I know that many of your texture are based on the default, so it may be perfectly fine. There's nothing wrong with it, but it seems to me that it could be a bit more... creative, seeing as there seem to be few texture packs that deviate much from the default endstone. That said, it looks fantastic!

Yep i agree, i did mention above that i'm not sure what to do with the actual stone but at least have something for now
Lets see what Marcinz thinks after putting the suggestion forward to get the portal block done.
Hey Syclone, when is the next update that you email to us going to be? Because I would love to see these end portals in game I also have a screenshot from my model of my actual house for you all this is the lounge room, which is probably my favourite room so far
See what I mean about the black wool not really being black though? The shaders lighten it up a lot, which kinda ruins the TV
Portal looks great! Great idea with adding dragon heads on sides and wings (?) on top. I'm not sure about the stone it looks a lot like default one which I don't really like. Maybe try some different color / pattern?
I'm playing Guild Wars 2 now and high level Orr areas have nice 'feel' that would fit End
Don't worry guys end stone will be different glad portal has gone down well

Hey Alex, ah it looks to me that are using the shader version than makes everything too orange, especially when you add lights to a scene, i'm using a older version and i feel it gives just the right amount of enhanced light shadow. Also remember shader light multiply s as you keep adding light and there's a lot of Lamps in there, you wont need so many with realistic lighting.
I'll email you my shaders as you can see wool on mine looks better black is darker.

Oh and a couple new blocks Oak/Spruce saplings
Awesome, and I got those files BTW. I'll check them out

Ah good, that should sort you out
Well guys its about time I updated the terrain file so i'm now working on converting over to 1.4.6
I think we are looking at a WIP release of the terrain sometime in FEB with how things are going but ideally i would like the items done, and the full GUI as well so this may slip to give a more complete package.
I will be calling on the testers to give various feed back and list of fixes they spot a little more frequently as we gear up to a release hope that's ok? I will create a fix list in a spoiler on the Ist page that we can use for this to keep it all in one place.
We also need a non shader to do list, as the whole pack will need adjusting.........some parts more than others so it would be really handy if you can have a separate .minecraft file setup for non shader testing.
Thank you to all involved with the testing I hope its living up to your expectations so far! I'm blown away by how positive some of the comments have been we are hitting towards 10,000 views in a relatively quite part of the Texture forums in quite a short space of time. More messages are coming through asking about the pack from some quite big Youtuber's and I'm feeling the pressure but in a good way It's all becoming quite exciting really for this old boy
If you would like to be a tester and have the time to help with feedback then PLEASE let me know, non shader testers are very much welcome.
Those saplings look really nice, and I like how they aren't supposed to look like pixel art trees like in most packs, that actually looks like a tree in an early stage.
I just got a nice scene, so I took one screenshot with your pack.

Marcinz606, thanks for the message, happy to have you on board will get files over to you
Looking over the actual pack without shaders on the whole its actually pretty good. I've noticed a few colours and blocks that will need some adjusting/lightening up as they are a bit dark or the colour is not right but do you know what after looking over it for a good while i'm pretty pleased I think i will generally lighten the whole pack a little bit for non shaders.
Non shader screens its been a while since I've seem it like this but i'm happy it still looks pretty darn okay
Just saw your post G, ooh very atmospheric
I'm now playing with 1.4.6 it's weird lol some cool stuff though like walls blocks and the text that appears to tell you what the items are
I almost like it better w/o the shaders... looks more rpg to me.
Actually do you know what in parts so am I! There's richer colour in places look at the portals with/without shaders. I love shadows and lightning and the overall atmospherics the shaders gives but i think I will tweak it more so it doesn't loose the richness in the texture colours.
First test in Minecraft 1.4.6. + latest optifine + SEUS v10 RC6
I created new world, spawned in swamp biome and decided to build nice, small house
Oh great stuff! How are you finding the texture pack so far is it living up to your expectations?
I forgot i left the moon face in! Its actually from a comedy show here in England called the "mighty boosh" which i love and for a laugh i put the face on the moon from a google pic! I don't think it will stay LOL
This texture pack looks nice! I couldn't really give a proper evaluation of opinion from the pictures alone, but it seems nice. Coming from the guy who uses Default all the time because no textures at all please me. Well, can't wait til this has a download and such- And further on til it's done with all current textures and such, whenever that comes to be. Saw a couple people mention already trying it at bottom of thread? But I couldn't find a download.. This some secret club? Heh. Ah well, well. I like it! Would like to try it out.
Incredibly beautiful work syclone. The signs look so plastic they look as if they were high-poly.
Soon to be 6AM at my place. Time flies faster for everyone when working on textures it seems.
Thank you very much Did you mean plastic, or realistic? As if plastic then i will need to work on them more to look like wood but i hope you meant realistic! Yes i lost track of time doing those.
You also are creating some some very nice work on your server pack
A, haven't posted in a while it seems... been a busy week with all this holyday stuff.
New things look nice so far, can't complain at all! The end portal totally kicks ass (it has dragons in it, therefore I love it, because as a rule, I love everything with dragons in it).
Although I still could complain about stone bricks... but it's just my personal preference, so I won't.
I thought you might like the Dragon styling Mr Dragon lover Glad you like it and the rest.
Hmmm well maybe we will look at some alternative stone bricks but i do feel the current ones give character to the world and different from the norm.

Thanks! To say you would possibly swap over from default after all this time is amazing to hear i'm glad you like my work so far.
I have a small alpha test group of guys who are trying out the pack and giving feedback testing new updates etc. Its really helped me a lot. I've picked people who seemed to have a real enthusiasm in the pack who have posted or commented quite frequently but i'm quite intrigued to have some test who only has ever used default as this will be quite a jump for you to a 128x pack!
I hope he meant realistic too, because i fail to see how those signs look plastic at all went away last night, but today I might have a play with out shaders.
I do have a question regarding the font though. Is that your font, or did it come from another pack? Because there seems to be some character missing, such as full stops. Numbers are in it now, when they weren't before, so I take it you're still working on the font here and there?
