SO, more FISH WISHY's! Have to say i'm pretty pleased with my clown and puffer 2 things i can safely say i have never created in all my arty years and they were kinda fun even if they did take HOURS! Also a nice slice of PIE

Sorry I haven't been posting much! But as always, the new textures are great I especially like the pufferfish, These fish textures actually remind me that fishing has gotten an update in 1.7

You could work on the melon/pumpkin growth cycles. It bothers me sometimes how the melons and pumpkins look epic but grow from vanilla textured roots and of course ender dragon, horses, witches, and the wither boss

So this made chuckle a little, i tried my half finished Iron golems in game (not put them in before) all they are missing is rocket thrusters!!
I don't know if this is the mipmap again? - But Cobblestone at a distance (probably around 10 chunks) when you pan the camera, it has this radial blurring effect, similar to if you've ever laid two negatives for silk screening over each other and moved them, you get a weird bending of the lines. Should I drop down to just 1 mipmap layer?

I actually turn off the in game mip mapping it just doesn't work well enough for my liking ( even on 1 it messed the blades of grass up) so i always leave it off. Planks of wood also can look weird with it on as well as many others.
You may find turning it to 1 will help, what are you normally running it on setting wise when you play?
Render distance 15 chunk, mipmap2 everything else standard except some volume levels and the amount of allocated RAM in game.
I think its really down to the mip mapping and how it effects the higher resolution textures than default or packs that use a lower res. Have you tried optifines mip mapping instead?
So after Def told me I still haven't done the pumpkin stems I jumped on my wacom and sketched out these twisty stem ideas. What ya think people? Melon stems will be totally different more leafy and sprouty <--------- yeah i know thats not a word but I know what i mean
Ok, I just wanted to say that I love where this pack is going, I Follow it regularly, I do download it and play with it some. I really really hope you finish it one day. So keep up the great work and I look forward to your finished pack!
So I've been playing with the new stone textures folks, not going to be going too far from the current stone otherwise they won't blend with all my CTM variations i'm realizing. It's a real pain they brought them out.......boo hoo
I'll get something up asap, but keeping it similar is the best option I think
So folks, i haven't checked downloads for a good while but it seems CH has been flying over Xmas and its torn through 500k and at this rate will be seeing 600! So i think i'm going to be putting a release out sometime this month, in time for the CH factions server launch. It won't be as big as some of the updates I've done but i'm sure you will be satisfied Cody also has been making more bump and also specular maps for CH.
As always the support, emails ( can't believe how many a day i get now) messages, donations are just amazing and the vibe i get from people enjoying using it is just incredible.
The flood of CH banners on this topic is also just so cool to see
In other news I've been talking with SEUS creator Cody quite a bit and together we have been tweaking and making changes to the lighting. One area he changed last night was that torches now wont look dark, or receive shadow......its SOOO much better. Also the general lighting and contrast has been toned down to give a warmer feel. Night time is looking awesome with not so much orange torch light......still tweaking but its really made a positive difference!
Here's a couple of screen shots, bump/normal maps are not on in these lighting tests/tweaks.

Ah good to know, well will go with those then and do something different for the melon stems
