I have the exact same problem. Can give screens if you need them.
Edit: You guys must have MCPatcher, since Optifine isn't updated. I don't have Mcpatcher installed, (because idk how to use it with magic launcher) and I have the same issues. So its not a MCPatcher bug.
I had mcpatcher installed. I figured I would delete my entire install and start from scratch and now after running mcpatcher I can't even get minecraft to run. This has to be the worst release version of minecraft I have seen.

Figured out that for some reason running mipmap and mcpatcher causes minecraft to crash. Regardless with a fresh install I still have the same font issues

I agree. 1.7 had so much potential. It was obviously rushed.

One thing though...I think the new dirt needs to be revised more. I like the new design of the dirt, but I think it's a bit blurry. I really liked the new dirt the first time you made it, before you revised it to make it softer with less angles.

Yeah pack is re uploaded so people shouldn't have the issue now.
Hmm i'm liking the dirt I wont be going back to the sharper edges so its not put in the same camp as cobble and I've had such good feedback from the testers/donators forum.
*grabs, also grabs MC patcher for some CTM because I miss it* xD. Not sure whether MC patcher will give the performance stabilization/boost Optifine does though... Still, CTM is good.
EDIT: I use English UK as my language, so hopefully I won't get weirdnesses.

dont worry about it crazy i use English america and you still have better punctuation than I. and i understand you perfectly so i would say you won't get any weirdness.

So I've been out having some time out with the family, how have you all got on with the update, enjoying it? founding an issues i need to fix? Finally, was it worth the wait?
EDIT Holy feckaroony 8k downloads today!!!!! Guess folks were waiting on that 1.7 release!. Gonna be heading past 400k soon! GULP
2. I was indeed talking about the language file issue. People using English US had strangeness in their menu buttons and item/block names. xD But Syc fixed it.

if your talking about it being in what looks like Japanese then the problem is you set the writing to japanese
I was talking about the way the skybox ends, it's not like that in 1.6 so I assumed it wasn't meant to look like that. Also that's not Japanese, it's Chinese.

Just managed to get to do it I changed my language to ENGLISH US and the symbols appeared. I always use English UK and its fine.
Hmmmm, now need to find whats wrong with the US lang file as i haven't touched it.
EDIT Okay i will have to re upload the pack but its an easy fix. Open the pack and go to Assets/Minecraft/ and delete the LANG folder.
I have no idea whats up with the US lang file but the one from the vanilla pack will be used if you delete this folder.
That did work. Chalk it up to one of those weird things that happens with the 1.7.2 release.
