He started making a grungecraft pack but he hasn't worked on it for a while.
Chroma hills though, after those little touches to stone, stone bricks etc, is now my definite favourite by miles.
Yeah, it's nice but its still BD craft with texture overlays added to the existing style. Still too sphax for me but of course if he continues it it will go far i'm sure
So I've finished the Enderman folks, didn't want a work in progress version in the release
The one texture I've not changed from over a year now is the dirt. I've wanted to try a more chunky style like some of the packs go for but never really went for it till today and i'm feeling very confident with what i'm producing at the moment. It's still a little rough round the edges and needs some refinement and tiling tweaks BUT
What do you think, i present the Chunkiness.............
I know its a big change to what people have been using, would you be prefer this?? I'm enjoying using it while testing, it brings more of the cartoony side into play and generally a better quality. I also notice how it changes the scale of the world like when I enlarged the bricks
To be blunt from an artistic stand point it looks good. However in terms of being used as dirt, it looks like brown cobblestone. I prefer the old. With all that being said I still love the pack.

I take that feedback on board Bunny I'll soften some of the lumps and have another pass at it. I feel it will work, my cobble is a very brick like so its easy to see what's what
I like it. It kinda reminds me of John Smith's dirt, which is one of my favorite textures ever. I liked the new dirt before you edited it to make it smoother, though. However, others may not like it because it still kinda looks like brown cobblestone.

Hi Syclone. Have I commented here before? No? Okay then. Well, your pack makes me insanely jealous, and I look at it several times a day whenever I feel the urge to inflict the pain of inadequacy on myself.
But seriously, I love pretty much everything about this pack, particularly how smooth and well-coordinated it is. A lot of 128x packs do great at individual textures but fail to achieve a cohesive overall look-- this pack does both. Likely because you actually made everything by hand rather than relying on a bunch of filters and google images, but lets not go there.

Hey Steel, you did comment a good while back I remember thanks for dropping by again Well from someone of your versatile caliber thats some very nice feedback indeed! Thank you. You are FAARR from inadequate but you know that me dear!
Consistency is such a key area that can make or break the visuals and its not easy to keep it up!
I just dislike the chunkyness of it, would it be possible to release one or give one out privately that is up-to-dat just with the older dirt?
Don't worry, old dirt will still be in the pack with a clear readme file to explain or even a separate dirt pack you place above in 1.7 for a quick change
I largely prefer the new chunky style, although the colour is very bold. Voted in favor.
EDIT: Wow, love the enderman and new netherack too!
[cough] Update? [cough, cough]
Still as impatient as ever, but this 'resource' pack has seriously changed a lot for the better since last update. Also is acacia/dark oak done? Cant remember whether I saw it or not.
Ha so many edits lol Yeah Sharky this is going to be such a big update! I haven't done accacia planks yet but the rest is done.
Just trying a more winter look with the new dirt it allows me more freedom with the style (ignore the tiling error)
Just to say - it won't let me vote in the poll. It's telling me off, saying I need to answer all the questions. but I am answering the only question there!
Before that it was claiming I had already voted when I hadn't so I had to clear my vote...
Could you sort this or explain what I'm doing wrong please? Thanks.
Anyway, I'm really not much of a fan of the new dirt. it's already, But I don't like the chunk texture. I'm definitely going to be staying with the old dirt textures!

I prefer the old dirt, as well as the original cactus. Things seem to be getting a little too cartoony looking for me. "RPG with a cartoon twist" is the slogan so I guess this should have been expected eventually.
The main reason I fell in love with this pack was the realism aspect. I didn't feel there was much of a cartoon feel. Seems times are a changing.
Either way, the work you do is quite impressive and I know everyone appreciates all the time and effort you put into this resource pack!
