I love all the new changes, I just had an idea that may look cool. How hard would it be to make random textures on leaves and logs (i.e. bird nests, holes, branches? Oh, I also found a bit of a bug:
It is just how the lines don't match up exactly. No at all important but thought I'd point it out. It is in the 128x and the 64x to my knowledge.

Hey thanks I have looked at doing that kind of thing to logs, my only issue its it could put people off when using them to build but would look great on trees! Ah that bug is a MC craft issue i cant stop it happening.
Thanks Uni! well worth redoing the stone and the ores imo so glad its going down well
So heres a little taster of the style of Spawn on the CH server we are going for. Me and Imma Creeper have been building a bridge and other things.......i'm getting better
hey im mega sorry if this has already been asked, but does 1.6.2 have seus shaders on it? because i noticed that shaders has recently been updated to 1.6.2 and ive always wanted to try shaders, but i want the first time i ever use it to be with your texture pack (im a big fan XD haha)

The regular pack can be used with shaders. It even has bump mapping on certain blocks for you. Just download the pack as you would without shaders and run it with the pack. Good luck.

A well Synth answered so yes I've have combined the packs in 1.6 so works fine with shaders Pleased you are using my pack with shaders for your first time hope you enjoy
Also, I much prefer the new smoother stone, as it's a lot easier on the eyes for larger builds, and those new ores...what can I say...they're absolutely beautiful!
How's the sanity holding out though? I don't know how you handle the pressure, but you do so remarkably well and it shows in all you've done thus far. The word unflappable springs to mind.
My apologies for not checking by for so long. I get easily distracted these days with having such little time and forget how much fun it is to see what others are up to, especially when I come across truely professional work like this.
[Note to oneself, "visit...Syclone's...hang-out...more...often!" There! Big bold letters on my work table! ]

Glimmar my dear fellow, how thoroughly splendid to see you pop your head in to my little corner of the forum.
Thanks so much for the kind words and pleased to see the new/revised additions to my pack have been looked on by you most favorably.
Oh i'm not unflappable ( i can produce quite epic flappge if things are not playing to my drum!) but It actually hasn't been too bad pressure wise. I feel really comfortable with the style now and the evolution of the art, the work flow albeit many hours a day is on the whole an enjoyable experience. The support from the growing fan base is a tremendous motivation as is the many other projects and opportunities that have come my way since starting it.
I'm afraid I too have not been as active on the forums with the workload/real life and am also guilty of too infrequent visits to your domain...... I will follow suit with a post-it note placed upon my monitor with the words " OI DONT FORGET THE GLIMSTER!!"
I definitely think it was worth it for you to redo the stone.
Also, and I dunno why I keep sharing these here as well as on deviantART cause I'm spamming up your topic, I did a quick hut to test an idea I had for making my walls better.
I suspect this idea will always need something with it on bigger builds, as it doesn't do much except for around the edges, but it looks cool on this hut. May have wanted something slightly bigger for this wall idea but there's not enough room on that ledge for anything larger! (and yes, that is a hanging bridge you see leading away from the hut.)
I also noticed too late that I forgot to trim the vines that are currently covering over the door. xD

That looks really cool. The vines actually make it look better I think, despite the fact that they're annoying. I'd like to see this in a zoomed out image that shows the rest of the cliff.

First I must say, CHROMA HILLS is easily best texture/resource pack for minecraft. Thank you for making such a master piece. I do have two suggestions, one major and one minor, for it though and I hope that you take no offense. After all its all about personal taste and it is personal opinion.
MAJOR one: Window frames and window blocks in chroma hills are very very bad :-\ They totally do not belong in this wonderful creation. Every time I put a window block or frame on a building with all kind of nice textures for bricks, wood, cobblestone (like this A LOT) it feels like A SLAP IN THE FACE. It is a disaster really imo. In best scenario, every building have that "prison-ish" look with so many bars even tho they are diagonal. If not "prison-ish", they look like simply bars without any glass. I apologize if this was your intention really. Is it possible to change that or add something GLASSY so we do have a feeling we have glass on our windows?
minor one: Even tho water is very nice I think water texture from texture pack LIFE would be really great. Maybe you can try something like that.

Thanks. And I shall go get a screenshot from further out, I'll edit it into this post when I have it.
whenever I try to use it, it switches to the Default texturepack. I also use Optifine Ultra for 1.6.4. Help...!
Okay, I had this exact issues a few versions ago. Having magiclauncher will be really helpful for this.
1. Turn off Optifine.
2. Open minecraft
3. Turn on Chroma Hills.
4. Close minecraft.
5. Turn optifine back on
6. If you have magiclauncher, hit the "test" button to start minecraft don't start it normally. Otherwise just start Mc normally.
7. MC will crash before it finishes starting.
8. If you have magiclauncher, hit "view log" if you don't have magiclauncher, just go to wherever you can see the log.
9. In the crash message it will tell you at least one file is too large.
10. Move those files into some folder where optifine will ignore them.
11. Chromahills now will work.
It's probably a CTM file so it will cause no real issue that the file is gone, it will just not have any CTM on that file. For me it was the CTM for the white hardened clay that was too large, and I just moved down a size since I was on 128x, but you can't just download the smaller TP size as you're already on 64x, so you're just gonna have to remove that file.

Thanks man! BTW, I deleted the mcpatcher folder inside of the texturepack instead of moving it somewhere, and it works! Thanks again!

The new ores looks so good with the new stone. And the Iron is really well done. Look a lot more like Iron now.
Cheers Creeper
Yeah shame i can't do it, it will mess up a lot of builds for people. I maybe do some variations but only subtle changes
