The grass texture should stay in the pack, I think it's just a gray texture that should get colored by the color map. Not sure what the issue is there. If you're using the John Smith technician's pack for modded, it could be that the Thaumcraft texture for grass, or it's color map, is out of date. I don't have it here to check. Look for the the thaumcraft folder and see what's there. You may need to put back the color map in the main John Smith texture pack.

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.
I am trying to find a 64x JohnSmith legacy for v1.10.2 and that goes same for mod support of most famous mods following: Biome O' Plenty, Tinkers Construct 2, Storage Drawer, Botania.
I would like to try and see if i can turn 64x into a 128x, but please let me know if thats possible or not.
I just though I would post that have started a new thread for only the vanilla pack, so this thread should evolve into a John Smith Modded thread only.

This looks really sweet. I have a few questions though. I've never used a resource pack with mods before so will I be able to download this and use it with certain mods that I have or is it only for mod packs? Is there a list anywhere that I can view where I can see what mods this resource pack supports to see if it has all/most of the mods I use? Thank you for your time.

Ignore my comment above as after some searching I have found the answers. However while this supports almost every mod I use is there a patch out there that supports galacticraft and the galaxy space mod? I would really like to start using a resource pack for my modded adventures but As i think most people would agree that no one wants to play with only half their game textured and the other half not textured.

Hi all! I'm not sure if this is redundant, but I've been playing Botania on 1.8.9 and I don't have any textures for Botania's Crystal Bow. So I made my own:
Textures here in the spoiler. Use them as you wish
Does anyone know why the Podzol block is showing up in game as Pink (NOT Black and Pink checkered, but just solid Pink, the latter of which I'm unable to find anything about)? The textures for the block appear to be in the correct place. In the inventory and when held, it looks fine. When placed or when it is come across in the world, however, it is solid Pink.
I am using a version of this texture pack I have somewhat been self-updating since 1.7.x, so I'm guessing something changed with it between 1.8 and 1.10? I am still playing 1.10.x until I get around to updating the colors to my liking for 1.11 and onward.
That's a weird one, can you post a screenshot? The guesses I have offhand are that the transparency is messed up on the texture file or it's formatted wrong.

Sorry for the late reply, and you may be right, as I just discovered when going to get a screenshot as there's another that is doing this. It's the Allium.
The first place you should look for errors is the log in the launcher, this can be very useful for diagnosing problems.
Yay, it works now.
That was normally set to close after starting the game so I never knew about it before. After trying to look at it and find hints, it turns out when I updated from 1.7 to 1.9, I didn't like the automatically rotating blocks feature, and moved some of the .json files to an unused folder. It turns out this was causing it.
Is anyone interested is taking on Open Computers? My guess is that most images will work with either 1.7.10 or 1.10... if any differ significantly let me know.
I still haven't found out what and where the problems with the grass comes from I am still looking through it but for the moment I have another question. Where are the trees from ancient trees stored? They do have a Texture from this texture pack but there is no folder called ancient ttrees in the zip file. There is one texture I don't like and want to edit it from the folder but I can't find it. Trees included by the ancient tree mod are nucis, proffor, salyx and so on.
Second issue is that some trees do not have the leave textures given by this pack. Jacaranda for example, same as flowering oak leaves, still are default minecraft textured. I checked the textures and they are definitely there. Any ideas how to fix this?
Edit: found the acient trees, they are located in the dendrology folder
If a texture is in the pack but not being used in game, it could be the name of the file is slightly different, or the folder structure is different from what the mod is using. Check carefully both folders and file names.

Just wondering if there's a way, with relatively little complexity, for me to change the background colour of all the inventory GUIs in JSTR? The practically black backgrounds make it difficult for me to see things like blocks of coal.
Love everything else about this resource pack though!
Wondered if there was an overlay for the technician's remix out for 1.12.2?

put together some of my custom mod textures I use with this pack if anyone wants them. it includes textures for mo glowstone, mossy planks, more furnaces, and roads (with alts for ctm).
noticed I included some textures that I didn't mean to. will reup soon with some that were unfinished as well as a few more mods textures.

Yes I have the pack for modded. I'll look into this as soon as I have time and if I find a solution I'll post it here. Thank you for your support

I can't get the 1.12 JSTR pack to work, the vanilla texture pack I combined it with works but the modded stuff doesn't work no matter what I do,
any help is appreciated!
