You JimStone and many others who've helped in the JS pack deserve so much more than our gratitude. You guys keep on updating and improving this Texture Pack, so thanks for your hard work.

I have no idea what it wants me to do. I don't see the links on the github. A nice easy non-generic tutorial would be great. I have TortoiseGit setup, though I'm not sure if I did it right.

I haven't used TortoiseGit before but it looks more confusing then the official client which I would recommend getting.
- First Fork the repo
- Then clone it inside your client
- Click on the cog in the top right and open click "open in explorer"
- Now you can add your textures to the pack
- Now back on your git client add a name to your uncommitted changes and then commit the changes
- Now click on Sync in the top right to upload your changes
- Then finally you can go to the master branch in your internet browser and you can create a pull request.
Been working on getting some more blocks done for JS:Light 64x, starting with the nether, I also had a crack at doing the zombie! My internet isn't letting me update the packs at the moment so I'll try again later tonight, but here they are.
Can you please texture the horses, it would be appreciated for my medieval map making.

first of all, let me thank you guys for everything you done, minecraft with your resource pack is something else to play, now, i have two questions :
1- does anyone working on red logic mod from immibis or not, if not i may be able to cover the mod
2- I thought to myself why shouldn't this texture pack has it's own irc channel on esper, so I registered a new channel for that : #jsl , this way people can talk about resource pack, and share their art with others for opinion before putting it on git hub , feel free to join.
After a few days of working on it, I am finished with version 1.0 of "John Smith Lenier's Remix."
Basically, I didn't feel that some textures made sense within John Smith. In some places, I prefer alternates that were available during the time of the John Smith customizer. I've made the following changes in my remix addition:
* New textures for andesite, diorite, granite, along with their polished versions.
* New jungle log texture.
* Changed dark oak planks to look more like oak planks.
* Cracked stone bricks are now cracked on the sides.
* White and grey wool borders removed.
* Hardened clay colors now reflect the colors of the default, but now have "John Smith" styling.
* Iron Golem texture fixed.
* Villagers modified, will add hats/hair later. More of a patch for now.
* End stone now reflects the default colors, with John Smith stone styling.
* End portals reflect this change as well.
* Changed stone slabs to an option available in the John Smith customizer used a few years ago.
* Red carved sandstone now has a wither carved into it as the primary option. Alternate textures are unchanged.
To do:
* Fix villagers further
* I'm sure I'll find other things I can tweak
* Create more alternates
* Possibly modify the base stone types a bit more. Not sure I'm happy with them yet, but the colors are good.

Big update to both the JSL and JSC packs to coincide with the 1.8 release of Minecraft.
All the random textures that used to be done with mcpatcher are now in the vanilla pack, so everyone will see the stuff that only mcpatcher users used to see, the only things that the vanilla game is missing now is CTM (connected texture mod) for the logs, glass and white wool, random mobs, better skies, custom colours, etc... maybe in the future.
Fixed the beacon beam in the JSL pack due to the new coloured beams and lots of other changes, too many to list.
See the changelog for all the details and play the game, it runs so smooth now.

Curse Premium-Proffesor Hal
Edit:
I'm having a problem with the font, it looks terrible and I'm assuming I've done something wrong.
I installed and now my text looks like this. Never had this happen before. Any help would be great. Using Minecraft 1.7.10, 32 bit system, lubuntu.
Please read the FAQ on the JSL website as this has been cover a few times in the past.

Thank you for that link. I cannot find these "helper" files.

Download - John Smith Texture Pack Lenier's Remix (1.8)
You need the regular John Smith Legacy Pack for this to be complete. The download only contains the additional/changed textures.
Ah, thank you. I had the other one.
Cheers.

Curse PremiumJimStoneCraft doesn't work on the JSTR pack,
The best way to give feedback and such for JSTR is by making an issue on the github
i tried using the universal JSL 1.6 patched pack but all the textures arent done and the font is weird
i would just like to know if there is a tekkit pack and if there is work being done on it
also if their is any mod pack at all that JSL has fully patched pls tell me which one
