I uploaded a start on the tinker's construct stuff a few pages back....
It may be possible to get most of the textures for the Tinker's mod, Shoeboxam in the FTB forum is offering to help but some base textures would have to be made, take a look at the FTB forum for a little more info, it's a big job but may be a little easier than we thought.
That is essentially what I did for the excavator, created the base tool in greyscale and layered parts and then just colored each set and saved out to individual files. Doing that bit was just tedious, but not too awful. It was getting the original texture and all the add-on effects that took the time. Since I have no idea what that Linux script does, I'd be no help there, but if there's a template for the tool parts I could follow, I might be able to come up with something for the other tools. Usually, though, the annoyance I get from the low res textures doesn't overwhelm the desire to just deal with it and play instead of stopping and creating new textures.

How can I download these textures? When I go to your site, and click on desired version/pack, it opens page, and then nothing happens, it returns me to homepage? Thanks in advance.
one..While I love the framework on the light grey wool, the fact that it gives a real useful block for deco purposes is great, I don't like that the fram is on the light grey carpet. I don't know enough about creating textures, but does this have to be like that. I love using the light grey carpet for walkways and tabletops, but the frame looks out of place in those instances.
Two..This one is also about wool, but the white one. It has a frame around it, and while it might make for an interesting block at times, I use the white wool for a lot of things and it is the only easily availible block in white for survival mode.
My question/request is are these things perminant or is there possibilites for change.
So, i was playing on multiplayer when i noticed that the bottom part of a player's head is black. Is this a glitch with Minecraft or with the resource pack? BTW, this only happens to players who use the default skin.

There is 1 thing in this world which is important, and that is BEEF.
Can you help me? I put the JSTR texture pack in my resorse packs folder, but when I turn on the texture pack in the game it only worked on vanilla textures!

The default Steve skin is the JSL pack is based on the vanilla texture, I may change on the bottom of the head as is doesn't have the same colour as the face skin colour and does look a little off.

The new JSTR is very work in progress at the moment and only covers a small amount of mods.
Check out the original Github for the older pack but note that some things on there do not work with later mod packs Like FTB Monster and Attack of the B-Team, hopefully this will change in the future.

The light grey wool could be changed for carpet using mcpatcher as it was made before carpet was even in Minecraft.
The White wool is for the connected tectures when using mcpatcher where the border is only around the edges when lots of textures are joined together.

Sorry there were broken links last weekend, they all should be fine now.

I would guess he got it from the Google drive link at the start of this thread, that is only the vanilla textures, maybe an update to the starting thread would help.

Yeah, having the main post updated with the current links would really help
Minecraft doesn't seem to recognise the JSTR pack from GitHub as a resource pack! Help!
Sorry the Github is a little messy and does require some manual file moving, plus a lot of the mods have just change over the last year or have been abandoned, there is still a lot of work to do to get a functional resource pack.
Anyway on another note there's some good news...
I've expanded my release of the JSTR and thought I would post that I've completed the set of textures for Better Storage and also moved onto the ThermalExpansion-3.0.0.2 mod, I'm trying to concentate on mods that are in both mod packs (FTB Monster and Technic's Attack of the B-Team), out of the 363 textures in the mod and 141 have been completed.
Note that the images are from yesterday before I completed the Backpacks and some other items in Better Storage.
Hello, big fan of the resource pack here. In fact I completely depend on it! In my current survival world, my whole fortress was built using John Smith, to great results.
Unfortunately I encountered an issue with cobblestone blocks after upgrading to 1.7.9 from 1.7.2. I've documented it all here: http://imgur.com/a/k0TgH
I think as the creator of the pack, you will be the most qualified to help me. Will you take a look when you get a chance? I'm in love with this survival world, but this bug is absolutely ruining it for me. I really hope there's a way to fix it without losing all my work...
I should also mention this bug persists when I create a brand new world.

snip...
Now that's what I call a bug report, lots of details and pictures too.
I will admit, it was a bug on my part, as I play with my own (JimStoneCraft Edition) of the pack, it doesn't have the different cobblestone textures for the top and bottom faces, so when I updated all the CTM in the JSL pack some items were set wrong.
It's been updated and should work fine now, new release.
John Smith Legacy 1.7.9 v1.2.16
Also there's a new release of the Snapshot pack for all those people that play snapshots.

Curse PremiumWhere did you download it from? was it from the Github or from JimStoneCraft's Site.
You want to make sure that you get it from the Github at the moment as Jim's JSTR doesn't support much of anything just yet.
