That's a problem with the new version of minecraft. It supports custom fonts but not the correct spacing. You need to patch your game with MCpatcher/optifine to get the right spacing or delete the fonts and use the default ones.
I figured that out, oh well now Minecraft can't support spacing well of custom fonts. It looked ridicolus.
I am using the latest version of the texture pack, I have optifine installed, but everything says 'missing texture' on a white backround. The only thing not doing this are the grass blocks. Fix please?
I am using version 1.0.1 of the texture pack.
EDIT: nvm, I turned connected textures off. lol.
Can you make forestry support?
Download version 1.0.2 and you will no longer have the connected textures issue and there is already forestry support that you can find in the patcher.
I was wondering if anyone would like to make textures for Forgotten Nature 1.5.1. It's a really great mod, but the textures really could use your guys talents Pretty please? It also has marble gen, for those of you missing rp2s and looking for an alternative.
I just checked the sheep colours and they are all displaying correctly, try redownloading the pack and copying over the color.properties and hopefully they should be the right colour.
I, too, am having problems with my sheep, i used different versions(older) and they still look the same wrong colors, ever since the 1.5 update.
The lime green on is suppose to be red, the blue one is suppose to be black and the dark blue one is suppose to be light grey. Hope you guys can help, because I can't figure it out.
*FIX* Downloaded the newest version of MCpatcher(3.0.3_01).

Are you using Mcpatcher or Optifine? I've only tested the sheep colours with Mcpatcher and I didn't see any problems. I'll try installing Optifine and see what happens.
To fix that, replace font directory on John Smith Legacy.zip with the original font. You can find the original font on the minecraft.jar, open it with Winrar or equivalent. Turn Custom font OFF.
You don't need to copy over the original font, just delete the font thats part of Johnsmith Legacy and the game will automatically use the original font.

ATM I was using MCpatcher 3.0.2.
It's fixed now though,( I fixed it like 3mins ago) I downloaded the newest version of MCpatcher 3.0.3_01. I believe is the newest one. But it is fixed now. Sheep are the color they are suppose to be.
the connected textures for bookshelves isnt working for me: the bookshelf as an item (like floating on the ground or in my hand) shows the bookshelf with the candle in it, but when i place it it looks like the normal shelf (the one all filled up with books), even if there are many in a row... i am on 1.5.1 and i have mcpatcher and optifine... any suggestions/answers to my problem??? please help

You have both Mcpatcher and Optifine? Only ever use one otherwise it will cause lots of different issues.
Man, whoever did the work on the twilight forest side of things really screwed up. Many blocks are invisible and some look like windows turning lich towers into swiss cheese.
I always use Optifine. However, even a wooden axe doesn't show up. Ideas? (also, I prefer and always use JSTR, but all I saw was Legacy for 151). Thanks.

I didn't know there was a update available, I suppose that I might need to update my MC Patcher as well then, right now I've just gotten used to not having the JS colors but hopefully that's all it was.
Excuse me for re-asking, if this has already been answered.
I'm trying to use John Smith as a server side texture pack for our clients... howerver, it is not working. The download says it is starting, shows it as 0%, then disappears. A file is created in .minecraft\texturepacks-mp-cache, but the file stays at 0kb file size. It seems the download tries to start, but immediately stops.
I currently have Doku running as a server texture pack, and this one is working fine distributing to all clients. The download starts, and downloads are successful. On the Bukkit forums, IIRC, someone linked a problem with texture packs over 10mb file size, not able to be downloaded. Is this a fact?
I would really love to have this texture pack working as a server download, since JohnSmith is, well, the best texture pack all-around. Any help gettin' this to work would be great. Thanks!
If you delete the "ather" folder from the pack before you distribute it, that should bring it down to under 10mb - I'm not quite to be honest who or when that was made. It's imcomplete, and doesn't really belong in the Legacy pack, however people may still be using it, so that's why it's still there.

Y'know what... I was going through the files after posting this, and figured that out as well. Yes, that works. Removing the aether folder and re-zipping creates a file size of 9.67MB, which allows it to work!!
Thanks for the response Glowstrontium! Glad to be able to offer JohnSmith for everyone on the server, cause it really is the best TP available! Keep up the great work on it guys!

So, any way around this 10mb limit, any tricks or tweaks to use, so JohnSmith can be thrown to everyone on the server? ^-^
